Did you ever 1CC a game at the arcade?

1CC=1 credit clear, aka no continues.

I got to the point where I could beat Double Dragon without losing a life just by spamming that dumb elbow move lol.

You?

Oh, also, the original Mortal Kombat, by holding up+left and kicking on the way down from each jump. You still had to stop to block Kano's spinning-ball move and Scorpion's grappling hook, but other than that, you were pretty much invincible.

Actually I did this with a few fighters, now that I think about it.

Virtua Fighter: crouch and mash the punch button, almost guaranteed victory in every fight.

Tekken 1, 2, 3: crouch + kick spam beats everything.

I think we had this thread recently; and there's only one answer for me. An odd one, given I'm very unfit, but nevertheless, I've 1CCed this

Does DDR count? I passed all my songs and saw credits. Also Guitar Freaks, Drum Mania, iidx, Pop'n Music, Dance Maniax, Para Para Paradise and Taiko no Tatsujin.

Wants the largest console games publisher to avoid Nintendo's platforms.
Super Hang-On. I used to skip classes at high-school for that game.

Super Mario Bros
Killer Instinct
Street Fighter 2
Mortal Kombat

I always wanted to 1CC a beat 'em up like TMNT or Simpsons, but those things are designed quarter munchers.

Trust no one. Eat steaks.
The original Shinobi, Forgotten Worlds, Virtua Cop (all three stages), Ghost Squad (again all 3 stages), Rygar, Street Fighter 2, World Heroes 1 & 2, Paperboy, Marble Madness, Cabal, Midnight Resistance, Ikari Warriors, Ninja Gaiden, Contra..... The list goes on.

All in arcades, not on emulators.

I did it with Soul Edge a few times, I might have cleared SF3 once without continuing. That said when I got old enough to play games at the arcade, I would typically only play a game if someone was there to play against. I like shooters but didn't really play them a lot in the arcade. I am also lousy at them...

I was in the trocadero in London in the 96 and clocked soul edge.

Some guy played the machine and lost one round and walked away thinking it was game over.
The cpu was poking at the player 1 character and I took over with half a life bar left.

I bet Cervantes etc and got the credits.

Technically a 0cc.

Bish loves my games!
Various incarnations of SF2 at the arcades. I bought some PCB's later that I eventually 1CC'd at home but I guess that doesn't count.

I did this playing Killer Instinct one time at a bowling alley arcade. I only knew how to play Orchid and only knew one actual combo and ultra, so I just kept doing it for the duration of the fight. Never worked before, but for some reason, all of the cpu opponents would take the hits and very rarely break the combos. I found it to be pretty weird, though. Can arcades have their difficulty adjusted?

I'm thinking, but I can't come up with anything.

I know I came very close on Time Crisis 2 and Tekken 4.

Was pretty much on the last stage and blew it.

Dragon's Lair
Track & Field (some machines end the game after the High Jump)
Boot Camp (aka Combat School)
Star Wars Trilogy Arcade

Both extremely easy games... Bubble Bobble and Street Fighter 2. Any Metal Slug game on 1 quaeter is kinda nuts. Kudos to you guys.

Double Dragon 1 for me too & maybe Golden Axe.
1CC wasn't something I really strived for until well after the arcades were long gone where I live.

Yes, they sure can. Depending on the games you had difficulties from 1-10, how often you were awarded a free man, how difficult the AI was, how much time you had in racing games, catch up on or off in multiplayer racers like Daytona, if continues we're allowed, how much a buy in might get you (like Gauntlet and its 1000 health per coin. I haven't even scraped the surface.
