Fallout 4 Officially Revealed for PC, Xbox One, PS4 [Reddit Rumor = Ban]

You are comparing a finish game to one that is not.

A valid point, but that is the standard I am now expecting from games these days. Maybe that isn't fair, but the dog in the trailer looks very poor. You can't dispute that.

All of what I posted is just my opinion. You don't have to like it.

Do we know the entire game is in Boston?

No, but I imagine it will be confined to the same area like previous Fallout games, so NE or the Commonwealth in the Fallout universe as rumors suggested. Who knows though, maybe the game is a cross country road trip.

Trailer has bleeding edge graphics only capable on high-end PCs. "OMG the game will never look like this. #DowngradeGate!"

Trailer has reasonable graphics for an open-world console game. "The graphics look terrible. What the hell?"

Christ, if I worked for Bethesda the internet would drive me to drink. More.

So much this.

y'all should be ashamed
Meh. I don't see the hype. This must be similar to people who crave Half Life 3. Because you played the original games and are hoping for a new installment you become bias in your criticism towards it.

The game doesn't look good visually. Maybe the gameplay will be amazing but honestly this looks like a PS3 game.

Man, some of y'all need to remember what Fallout 3/New Vegas looks like.

I'm happy.

So I just looked at the animations of the people running.

Looks like same old gamebryo.

Fucking awful. Just hope they don't try to push paid mods and hope to god it's 60FPS for console friends.

Wow this looks like a bad PS3 title...

I would have assumed they're building it on the RAGE engine if it wasn't for the fact that RAGE excels at high texel fidelity and the texel fidelity here is, well... non-existent.

I can only assume they're using that shitty Gamebryo grandchild engine...

Still...

In 2015...

Will be a great game for sure but seriously, it looks like something you could render optimally on the 3DS...

PS3? The hyperbole has reached new levels. Do you play Fallout 3 and NV? The graphics from this trailer looks way better.

I'm not impressed by the graphics but the people saying this looks like a PS3 game need to stop. The hyperbole isn't cute or funny; that's just trolling.
Pretty much. It looks more colorful than previous games which is something I'm happy about. Not the best looking open world game, but they can make up for that with excellent content.

You bunch of nitpicking sourpusses. My god. Did someone seriously just say Uncharted 3/The Last of Us looks on par? I feel cheated with those games man, I must have missed out on the part where we explored 15 square miles of wasteland and countless caverns and dungeons.

Gamers, gamers never change. In 2015 Fallout 4 was revealed. A game people had been asking for for years. As soon as it was revealed, hyperbolic cries of, "It looks no better than PS3 were heard." Then ensued a war the likes the internet has not seen. In the end, most people ended up off the internet entirely. It was a wasteland. But a few people held on and years of desolation one finally popped out to see what the internet had become...

Seriously though, I don't care if the graphics aren't that great. They still look better than 3. All I really want out of Fallout is a new area to explore and new characters to discover/takl to with new dialogue choices to be made. Sure, maybe I'm not picky. But I picked up Fallout 3 in 2013 when it looked pretty dated and after I played SKyrim which definitely was an improvement (not by much though honestly, or at least Fallout didn't look much worse like I expected it to). It didn't hamper my enjoyment one bit. I didn't think it would beat Skyrim for me but I found myself enjoying it a lot more even Despite the even older graphics and more bugs (I played Skyrim after they had patched it up).

Sure, I'd love it if they take cues from Obsidian and improve on gameplay/characterization/dialogue/choices. Honestly I'd much more rather they focus on that. But in the end, I'm sure it's going to be a game I'm going to love. Cause all I really need is that exploration and being able to talk to characters (Obsidian had more characters to talk to as well which made Vegas better for me). Graphics is only something I'll notice at the start. Then my suspension of disbelief will kick in and I'll just take it for granted anyways (regardless if good or bad).

(I'm sure I'd love it more though if Obsidian was the one doing it ;) ).

What's that about "hivemind" + "GaF"? But yes, War... war never changes. So is the hyperbole and the generalizations; the same type of arguments; the same type of responses.

People should stop referencing data that makes me feel uncomfortable because games get ported to platforms I don't like
It's so beautiful! I hope they drastically improved the Companion AI and buff Dog Meat's Stats as he was too squishy in Fallout 3 and Rex's AI in New Vegas had a strong habit of standing in front of the door way.

Using one of the best looking games ever released as your standard is a surefire way to be disappointed.

Looks fantastic. The graphics nay not be the greatest, but the world looks huge and incredibly detailed. The greatly expanded scope is far more important in a Bethesda RPG than best in class visuals. I love their games, but their worlds have always felt empty for their ambition. This looks like they finally have the memory to really bring their worlds to life, and that has me really excited.

Same old lifeless and stiff animations... yep that's a Bethesda game allright.
As far as graphics go, with the exception of higher res meshes and absence of the horrendous green tinted filter the game looks like Fallout3 with a slight upgrade, imho.

This thread is why companies release bullshots and we deal with the inevitable downgrade conversation

"Sir, we released the trailer using the real footage as you told us"
"Good, gamers must be delighted to see us not bullshitting them"
"Actually sir, half the comments on Neogaf are about how ugly it is"
"Ugh screw it!, for Skyrim 2 we'll just hire Blur to animate some gameplay reveal trailer"

I'm not going to pay $60 for a game that needs mods to be good. It's the developer's job to make the game good.

It's almost as if graphics weren't the only way for a game to be good. Just like the last 2 Fallout games

to those complaining about graphics - just wait until 2017 and you'll see a great looking scifi RPG in 2077.

In the meantimes play the enromous amount of high production values, huge open world RPG scifi games...

Looks great :)

That should be incentive enough to finally play Fallout 3 (which has been sitting in my Steam library forever).

Shamed admission: I have never played a Fallout game in my life :)

For me, graphics are at the bottom of the list as far as important features for this game. Even so, it looks totally fine, assuming the scope is large and the performance is solid.
