Sony isn't joking around this gen.

They now have COD, AssCreed, Star Wars and Destiny deals.

If they can also get GTA again...

Many of these will probably be graphical showpieces. This gen is really just taking off. I no longer expect it to be a short one. PS4/X1 might not have been powerhouses, but I think devs like them, and this really is going to be a software loaded generation.

Yeah I don't think PS5 will come until at least 2019 at this rate. Many developers still haven't released their first game this gen and will definitely want to make a 2nd one before moving on to the next generation.

I didn't see a post-e3 list thread... Are we not doing these kind of things anymore?

Like, I was actually listing the games I want just because I might lose track over the course of the next year.

Late 2015/Early 2016 is packed!

You know what, the bigger picture here is Sony has "released" the disappointed reactions from happening again for major quality titles being unveiled.

Let's say none of the announcements happened - no TLG, no FF7R, no Shenmue 3. In place God of War 4 gets unveiled. Let's say it looks amazing. After the conference is over, a majority of people would be saying, "It looks great, but where's TLG?" Or, "That's a big title, but it wasn't nearly as big as a FF7R announcement."

It just feels like that a majority of gamers now no longer will be distracted wishing for the three impossibles and instead find the excitement in titles being announced at these events. I cant really put it into words well, but I think we will all appreciate "just" a solid show at next year's E3 a lot more than we would have if the events at Sony's conference hadn't happened this year.

Next time I tell you a game is still in development, you people better damn well listen.
lol...Just noticed this little jewel posts earlier in the thread. What a classic one this E3 turned out to be!

I still smile coming to GAF's front page and seeing actual discussion on TLG and FF7:R. The speculation on battle systems, art directions, we can finally move past wishful thinking and actually discuss real life games!

Marvelous times ahead. Can't wait to see more of the big three, and other amazing games like Horizon and Fallout.

Absolutely.

Makes sense to me. Essentially, Sony removed all the pent up hype, and now, we can appreciate newer games and concepts more. I agree. Next year, no one will be expecting megatons, just new fresh amazing looking games, and it'll be time for Sony's WWS to step up to the plate.

Hopefully we will see a Next Gen Dynasty Warriors title.

Koei did say they have a 15th anniversary title in development, and this year marks the 15th anniversary of the series. TGS is the perfect time to show the title they're referring to since it's unlikely to be released this year.

Man, I hope Gravity Rush 2 is at TGS :)

Let's hope so. We pretty much know at this point that they've moved it over to the PS4, so I guess it's a question of whether or not they've got everything up and running properly. Toyama did say that once we saw it again that we'd understand why they've taken so long to properly unveil it. So that makes it sound like there's going to be a significant visual leap.

Now, we can speculate on level 5 jrpg, and the future of exclusive big budget jrpgs for playstation. Also, Out of all of the unannounced 1st party games. Sony bend interests me the most. I wonder how good it will be. Who is working on the design and the story?

This conference was tightly presented. SCEA learning from the best obviously. The best there ever was.

Thank you, Microsoft. Phil Spencer putting in that work, teaching these jabronis how it's done.

we need a new gif, 'where the hell was Rime'

I'm already having a hard time finding a way to budget around how to purchase everything I am planning on over the next months. Send Rime to 2016. Will then have Street Fighter and Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted and Rime and TLG and Horizon set up for next year. I can go for that

So which conference will have the first gameplay demonstration of Final Fantasy VII-R and Shenmue 3?

PSX?

Square has already said that we'll hear more about FF7R this winter, that would obviously put it in the PSX window. Of course it would also fall in Jump Festa's window as well. So assuming they're close to showing gameplay, it would be one of them. Shenmue 3 will almost certainly be at something like PSX. I kinda expect them to unveil Ryo's new model whenever they debut gameplay.

But who will teach SCEE the ways of Paris?

Didn't you see Gamescom in 2014?

SCEE is already one step ahead. They learned from Phil-sensei last year. Phil-sensei has been putting in that work.

Edit:

Hold on. Did you actually change to that avatar recently? What on earth? Why are you all still multiplying?

Absolutely.

Sorry Captain Sisko we're getting it first :D

Either that or he finally got fed up sometime after that conference and went back in time to make it happen :D

Yeah. I don't mind the longer wait as long as they transfer it to PS4 right. :)

Lost another bet. I guess this what happens when you don't follow Phil-sama guiding.

I ask myself this every day. This is all your fault. Wearing a Knack avatar is like the go to punishment.

It is time to dig up that exclusives list of yours, as you have proven to be the real deal, my friend. I honestly disregarded your comments on a FF VII remake...Well, lesson learned!

And just when I thought E3 will never be like awesome old E3's this happens...So good Sony 1 of the best press conferences ever. Could be one of the best E3 if Nintendo not fucked it up:(

Yep. This was such a great edition, with the Sony conference being the most precious jewel of the crown. I was expecting a mild show...Boy was I wrong...

Is it confirmed that we're getting a PSX this year? In December even?

I'd love for it to happen. obviously, and with more game reveals.

Need that God of War 4!

Man, I hope Gravity Rush 2 is at TGS :)

TGS will be packed...

The smallest of the 3 "big" conferences is getting some solid announcements..... shame.

Gravity Rush 2
Level 5 game.
Update on Deep Down or new collaborations announcements w/ Capcom...
JRPG with a Western audience tilt from Studio Japan.
Sony Bend???
Nier footage?
Release date for the Tomorrow Children.
Persona 5 - new trailer + release date.

Quantic Dream's new IP is no doubt reserved for Paris. Updates on Rime + Wild. Perhaps Sony Bend's new IP.

God of War 4 teaser at PSX. Sony Bend's new IP.

Gamescom being so close to E3 is stupid to say the least. Their loss.

GOW IV teaser for the PSX show, with the big reveal happening at E3 2016, alongside Bend new IP. The Level 5 RPG will be shown during this coming TGS.

I'll skip a beat if Cory Barlog comes up on stage and announces a new God of War, with a whole new setting. FUCK!

But....if they choose to go the Ascension route and show MULTIPLAYER as the first thing, I'll die right then and there. Was the worst thing they did with the series, and they chose ro focus on it for SOOOO long in the videos and what not.

EDIT: Do you guys even want a MP component in GoW going forward?

Can you guys imagine E3 2016....

Black screen, Bright colors flash across the screen.

We see Ryu tighten his headband so we think it's Street Fighter DLC... whatever

They we hear "MAXIMUM SPIDER"!!! Especially since Sony has the Spidey rights this would be perfect.

Marvel vs. Capcom 4!

Wishful thinking I know.
