one last fuck you to Club Nintendo NA before the program ends

NoE continues to prove its superiority, even until the bitter end.

Mentioned earlier, but I have a spare Star Fox 64 Wii VC code I'm offering for another 200 coin game (SF64 is worth 250 coins). :)

I would love to take advantage of this but I'm tapped out of coins now :( You wouldn't mind gifting it to me if no one takes it would you? :p

So I have 250 coins left, but already own most of the 250 coin games. I don't mind getting a 200 coin game, but I hate to leave 50 coins left unused.

Does anyone have 200 coins left that would like to have a 250 coin game instead?

I said it before a while back, but I'm rather disappointed Nintendo didn't do SOMETHING for the members who were part of Club Nintendo from the beginning (i.e got Gold or Platinum every single year), coming off the fact that Sony, even if it's not much, is still rewarding people who partook in PS+ when it first started 5 years ago. Club Nintendo began 7 years ago, and one could argue people spend around the same amount, if not more, to earn the status of Platinum compared to a year of PS+.

One could also argue the services are also completely different, but the point I want to get across is that even if it's small, they're still showing appreciation for those who've stuck with them from the start.

Would a digital thank you card work?

Last chance tonight if someone has 200 left coins that wants a 250 coin game to do an exchange. I'd like to wrap this up as soon as I can and not waste coins.

I would do this!! But I can't get the damn site to order my games??

I have 415 coins and I really want Wii U Super Metroid (200) and Wii Zelda: LTTP (250).

If I got Super Metroid, I'd have 200 coins left to give you something for LTTP?

But I can't get the website to load! I can pick the game, go through every single step but when I click "order" to get the code the website just hangs forever or Wario shows up to f with me.

Edit: Ok I got Super Metroid so I have 215 coins left, if there's still time to take you up on your offer let me know!! :D

You missed it unfortunately. I wish I could've helped! :(

It's my own damn fault too for waiting until the last minute, but I wanted to be sure the deadline didn't cut off earlier than expected.

I enjoyed/despised the program. The highs were high and the lows couldn't be lower. Great program overall. I'm betting it's the last we see of physical rewards like this though.

Now I wonder how long we'll have to wait until the next loyalty program. I just hope if it's similar to DDP on Wii U, it includes the 3DS.

RIP, Club Nintendo. You gave me a lot of cool "free" goodies over the years, made Platinum every year in fact. It's sad to see it go, but hopefully whatever succeeds it will be better. I'd love for something similar to the Wii U DDP to be part of the new program, but encompassing 3DS too this time. That would be awesome. I don't know about the rest of you, but the DDP was a driving factor in my digital purchases. When it stopped, I went back to barely ever buying games digitally and if/when I did, it was only to take advantage of a good sale.

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
It's over. Lock this shit up, lest we continue to be reminded of the sadness.

Man, I waited for YEARS for NOA to get a Club Nintendo program. Was jealous of the Japanese Club Nintendo for 5 years... (and remained jealous because of their better physical goods). And when we finally got Club Nintendo in the US, I was thrilled. I think I got platinum every year except for one. It was a good run, sad to see it go.

It's hard to believe it was 12 years with this service, mostly because it was so different in its infancy.

So young and full of promise, I see now in hindsight. It's a shame how awful these last couple of years were.

I'll miss Club Nintendo, but I already missed when it was good, so whatever.

I got Platinum every year, the Mario and co. statue is by far the best, with the Mario hat in second for sure. The button set was probably my least favorite item, but whatever, I guess it looks kind of cool in its packaging.

Anyways, hopefully whatever takes its place is at least... decent, I'm not expecting much though.

It's been a ride. Only been with them for maybe 4 years or so. Got some good stuff from them. Had my share of headaches with the site. Now bring on the evolution of the membership service >:D

I get to make the call to Nintendo tomorrow to see if there's any way to redeem my points, as I was super busy at work and forgot to use them Tuesday night!

...I'm not expecting much.

The start of the program was incredible when they gave out the Zelda Collection for registering 2 games + a GCN.

Thanks for the games I didn't have to pay out of my pocket to get Club Nintendo. Looking forward to your successor with it's unified account system and possibly better rewards.

I had 525 coins left, Wed night I used them to download Dr. Luigi and Golden Sun GBA, approximately $23 value which left me with only 25 useless coins, not too bad. Farewell, Club Nintendo. When you were good you were great, when you were bad you were terrible but I still got value out of the service.

Assuming we still get occasional physical rewards, I really hope the new loyalty program is much more unified for parity of rewards and structure between regions. Because that Captain Toad lamp figure Euro fans got as a final hurrah was one solid last slap in the face from NOA, that's for sure.

On the one hand, YES, THE REWARD JAPAN GOT IS FINALLY COMING TO THE US. And we've got Luigi & Link as well!

..........but damned if I'll be able to actually finding them.
