Uh what lolPretty much done with the game at this point. It's just an overload of spamming rollers and chargers now and I don't see the fun anymore.
Booooo, my Splatfest shirt ended up with 3 Damage Ups as sub-abilities. I don't feel like they do anything with the weapons I use. Not worth re-rolling, though.
With no access to Cold Blooded during Splatfest, are we going to see an Echolocator-heavy meta during the event? No Ninja Squid either. Teams with constant Echolocator pressure is going to make life miserable for the other team.

My Splattershot Jr. Custom laughs at your lack of Cold Blooded. Ha ha ha!
Actually, the purpose of the Kracken it to swim all the way to the enemy spawn point and then get splatted ass soon as you turn back into a squid kid.I have mistakenly assumed that the purpose of the Kraken was to hunt down and destroy my opponents, not amuse them. This will take me some time to adjust
But can you stop an Inkzooka
I feel like any latency would make this impossible.Yes I believe so, but good luck with that.

I feel like half the time when someone inkzookas me I just get insta lag killed with no chance to dodge. Shit sucks.Right, like I think it's possible on paper but in practice no.
Ranked is going to give me a stroke.
I had the worst time playing in ranked yesterday especially on Saltspray Rig. The first game I played we got to the 3 second mark and lost in overtime because no one was using my beakons and allowed the enemy to overtake the back area and place their own beakons there. Another game my team spent most of their time inking up the center catwalks instead of trying to take the zone. I had never played games that infuriating before reaching B rank
You should be happy? They are incredibly easy to kill with a Dual Squelcher or a .96 gal.Pretty much done with the game at this point. It's just an overload of spamming rollers and chargers now and I don't see the fun anymore.
Oh my lord. I think Kraken just lost its place as my go to roller. Might have to start practicing with the Dynamo.

It's still good for surprise kills on enemy territory, specially with squid speed up. It was never a special for tanking kills, at least on higher skill levels.I made the switch to Gold Dynamo a few days ago. Kraken was never about getting splats, but it was always a good option to drive people out of an area. Now it's basically for fleeing only.
... I think I just ended up in a Ranked Lobby with Azure J lmao
Much appreciated.Splatoon |OT3| Brave Fencer Musushi

Oh nice that you can do that my office won't let me lolI brought my Wii U to work to play Splatoon. You guys think I can use my phone as a hotspot to play online instead of using the company wifi?
*Yes.. I know I'm an addict. I don't care lol*

Wait really? Which match was that?
I was having an ASS time earlier.
You're not a true addict until you buy a second Wii U so you can have local online multiplayer.I brought my Wii U to work to play Splatoon. You guys think I can use my phone as a hotspot to play online instead of using the company wifi?

That one game right before the map switch. I was Pira-tan (I killed you two-three times I think lol)

Oh I meant the kraken itself, the Krak-on is still really good at ranked, but it depends on a team that actually know how to use beaconsI just think Carbon outclasses it for stealth roller now, with Inkzooka being the 'better' special and Dynamo is better for defensive holding. I always saw more Dynamo at A- anyway, so I'm sure this just solidifies it for people trying to choose.
Girlfriend is demanding this for her Christmas present. Gonna do it for my birthday, so I can spend more time with her sooner, instead of with my back to her. You're not a true addict until you buy a second Wii U so you can have local online multiplayer.
I'll use the Kraken mostly to intimidate (if I know I can't get to the opponent), force myself to a specific point in the map or at least push the opposing team back so hopefully team covers the rest of the map.
Feel you on that. I don't have any gamer friends at all though, luckliy my wife games though so I get my co op fix with her.I'm older (33) and most of my friends don't live near me.
Oh nice! Sounds like an awesome place to work atI only bring it every once in awhile. Plus I work in digital marketing. So it's very laid back. We have a pool table and ping pong table in the middle of our office lol.
I'm older (33) and most of my friends don't live near me. My fiance won't play Splatoon lol. So there isn't any need for local online multiplayer.
Yeah, it wouldn't make any sense for me to do so either, but I know a couple of Gaffers have so they can play with their families.I only bring it every once in awhile. Plus I work in digital marketing. So it's very laid back. We have a pool table and ping pong table in the middle of our office lol.

I got to be honest, playing against Japanese connections is totally hampering my enjoyment of this game. I thought my 'just deal with it' mentality would be enough to deal with the occasional bs, but I find myself more unwilling to just play this game unless I'm joining gaf lobbies. I mean, the netcode is pretty amazing, but even that is not enough to hide the fact that some connections are just not meant to be. I hope the August update will give us some regional matchmaking options.
