What is that move Weavile used in mid-air to create and kick down an ice platform to the opponent?

That looked amazing. I don't even think they've done that in the anime.

They gave Machamp Gear 2 and Red Hawk, lol.

Also I am so happy Weavile made it in! One of my favorite characters, I used to have him on my team in Gen 4.

I would like to see Sceptile, Snorlax, Tyranitar, Hawlucha and Farfetch´d in the game.

Looked like Icicle Crash.

I guess a Spring 2016 release for the Wii U seems likely. More so if Namco wants the game ready for EVO 2016.

If the NX does indeed launch next November, I wouldn't hold my breath for this to come to WiiU. I could see it being delayed to become a launch game for NX. That would sure move a lot of consoles at launch.

Charizard was pretty expected and I was kinda let down(I don't hate Charizard, he's just everywhere) but from what I just saw, he looks pretty damn fun to play! Very agile with lots of air attacks and seemingly hard hitting at the same time which is definitely my type of character! Though I wished Blastoise was in there, dude always gets the short end of the stick in games like these. The roster has good variety of Pokemon types so far but I hope to see of my favs like Scizor, Heracross, Bisharp, Golurk and wayyyy too many others to list.

Nintendo mentioned unannounced third party collaborations for the Wii U outside of SMTxFE, & Pokkén doesn't look like anything that the Wii U can't handle. The only possible issue I could see with a Spring 2016 release is Street Fighter V, which will likely have the spotlight as far as fighting games are concerned.

Does this game supports updates for more characters on arcades ? =x

That would be something to expect. In the 6-12 months that the game will enjoy being an arcade exclusive, it likely will get a few "time unlocks" similar to how to Tekken does it. And then the console port will perhaps add even more on top of that.

Definitely hoping the likes of Blastoise, Hawlucha and Pangoro will fit in there, somewhere.

All the salt from everyone who is shocked, shocked, that popular pokemon is popular will makes playing Charizard all the sweeter.

Keep holding that L, Blastoise

I didn't say WiiU couldn't handle it. I was saying that if I was Nintendo and was planning to launch a new console at the end of next year, having Pokken and a new Zelda game launching with it would probably make for a pretty successful launch.

Maybe when this game comes out on Wii U those Smash Pokemon amiibo will finally get some use.
Agreed. This wouldn't be an issue if The Pokémon Company wasn't so stingy with what Nintendo could use the Pokémon Amiibos for.

At most the NX will get a port of Zelda U (like Twilight Princess). I could see the same happening for Pokkén alongside whatever DLC they may make for the game.

Once again, the designs are terrible. Thin Charizard with pecs, for fuck's sake.

I actually like the initial roster in terms of offering some slightly different choices to what you'd expect, but goddamn do I hate the designs.

This is basically a game that was designed for me and one I've been asking to exist for years, but every time I see a story about it I'm immediately floored by how much I hate the artstyle. Like how do you mess up Charizard?

I like how Whimsicott looks though.

Man, Charizard's nostrils in Pokken are weird as fuck.
Also his defined pectoral muscles are freakin me out.

Looks really fun to play as though.

Am I the only one getting some Devil Jin vibes from Charizard?

Yeah they both have wings.

I know what you mean though, a little bit.

So awesome, really hope my boy Alakazam makes an appearance and all the Eeveelutions.

I wonder if they decide to unveil any new Pokemons in this game.

Weavile is such an adorable and unexpected choice. Looks like it plays in a really interesting way with how agile it is.

Charizard is expected, but I like Charizard so I have no problem with that. Gonna be fun recreating Ash's final battle of the Johto League with Charizard vs Blaziken.

That's fine, and I agree. But having no opinion on Pikachu and then calling Charizard pandering or something is hypocritical.

I bet the Squirtle line is getting a representative though, I think the roster's going to be the size of USF if not larger. Also DLC.
I'm not sure how exactly it is hypocritical unless Charizard is the second mascot of Poke'mon. Pikachu is the face of the series, in the context of the mainline games, no matter which starter you choose there is always an opportunity to catch a Pikachu. The same cannot be said for starters unless trading is done.

I am personally not surprised to see Charizard due to it's popularity and like others here I'm surprised and excited for Weavile. I think it's just one of those times when we as fans want to see starter Poke'mon we have personal connections to, instead of the most popular one getting all the attention, because at least with Pikachu it is inevitable.

At least here, they can frame it as being a reference <_<

To me, what Namco is doing here is no different from how Capcom's Marvel games tended to give a number of characters a Shoryuken-variant: Cute references to the maker's original fighting game titles and nothing more.

I'm not all that interested in the game to be honest, but between Suicune and Weavile, they're making some pretty damned great roster choices.

When's Blaziken and Hawlucha tho.

Also not sure why people think this can only come to NX or Wii U, why not both?
