For a public company they are terrified of releasing any numbers despite them pimping it out like a good quarter.

Guys, I've been a member of this community for a long time and even I think this is getting a bit tiresome. I can't tell if people are posting in character (ahem) or if people legitimately feel strongly about wrestler body types, but we need to tone it down a little. I read through just OT2 and found a really high number of posts just complaining about one person in particular. I think the mods that read/post in the thread have been pretty supportive of the community over the past few years and you guys largely post without people interrupting you (I can only think of one time in the past when I've stepped in, and it was due to people constantly posting NSFW images of the divas).

I am going to ask that we control ourselves when it comes to commenting on who we feel is or is not fat/out of shape. I don't think other negative commentary needs to be controlled at this point, so continue shitting on the WWE for being shitty. But I think the constant fat fat fat posts not are only unfunny at this point (unlike Scott Steiner) and a little overboard but actually might be demeaning or hurtful to some posters who actually are a part of wrestleGAF and enjoy posting here.

If anyone has any questions on whether or not they should or should not post something, feel free to send me a PM. If anyone feels any poster is posting with excessively mean spirits or is just a douche in general, please PM me and I'll deal with it. This is a good community with a strong following and it doesn't need to be corroded from the inside. Thanks.

Wuhu Island was in the opening match against Crowe on NXT WBP last week. It'll be great to see him on television regularly.

I think NXT will be okay. Once they sign up all these big indie names, the market for that will dry up... so they have to develop what they got already... somehow...

It's tough to develop your own talent, you sign 20 people and might only find one star among them. For every Enzo there's a Mojo.

However, Chad Gable is looking like a real find so far, so that's something.

Network is doing better but still needs more subs - they just stated they need to be in the 1.3-1.4 range to match profit from the PPV model. They're close, which is good.

What numbers are you interested in because a lot of numbers are out there?

Plus as of 11:15 WWE Stock is surging:

- WWE stock is currently up 18.69% following the second quarter earnings report, trading at $19.54 per share.

So the the numbers were received well this quarter.

Yeah he is so good that he given Jason Jordan a personality. Plus soon the perfect 10 gimmick will debut giving another talent a well needed push.

Vince just implied that they see a real issue with not having enough programming on the network for younger audiences, which seems like a valid concern.

network numbers month to month or turnover percentage from people trying a free month to remaining a customer.

Just you wait, Tye Dillinger will be tearing it up on television with his silly 'Perfect 10' character soon. :)

I'd be pissed if I was working with swerved.

Hard enough dealing with the politics of the company now you have to worry about getting ribbed 24/7

Damn, that was canceled quick. Unfortunate since I enjoyed the majority of the ribs. Not many of them seemed to be over the top either.

I mean, they're dealing with a TON of ribs anyway just from natural things happening, but...add "AND this shit will be televised when we pull this off" probably stresses people the fuck out just a biiiit too much.

I think Tony Schiavone is the most under appreciated and under rated announcer EVER.

It bothers me immensely that he was brushed under the rug of the industry, will never see the HOF, and will probably never call a match again. I know he has been doing well, and was probably ready to move on considering how many years, decades he spent in the business. It still sucks that guys like him with the wealth of knowledge kind of disappeared after 2001.

Agreed. Stro has even said, during his huge marathons of the worst WCW had to offer, Schiavone really helped him get through those episodes and his upbeat style and willingness to take shit from his cohosts was one of the only bright spots.

Schiavone is underappreciated much like Cole is. When the product is terrible, you think of the worst the commentary does. When it's great, you don't think of it. Schiavone is a great guy.

Plus...his TNA shoot...

I'm heading back to school so I'm in need of a bag. I was just wondering, what kinda bag I should get? Duffle? Messenger? Backpack? What's "in" these days. Preferable something fashionable and comfy.

I been saying this for so many years that Schiavone was one of the best on commentary. He can do both play by play and color without any problems. The only reason why he's considered bad is because of his tangents during the NWO years. He said it himself that the show wasn't fun no more during that time. Regardless I would take Tony on a bad day, than deal with Larry, Curly, and Moe every Monday night. Dude belongs in the HOF or at least get better recognition than the whole "derp derp worst commentator" "Mick Foley story" bullshit.

A lot of people don't like the combo of Vince/Jesse but I sure do. Vince's over the top announcing style is just perfect for a naysayer like Jesse. I love Monsoon/Heenan as well but Vince/Ventura will always hold a special place in my heart.

I'm more of a napsack type of person. It's not as obvious as a regular backpack and it has the cool look of a duffle bag.

I knew SWERVED was a shoot brother!

Are you trying to say it was a swerve all along?

It really was a good show. Probably my favorite segment just because of how awkward it got was when my dudes The Ascension and Keith Slater and Fandangler went to the incest burger place. I love seeing people get so upset they're about to do something and buck up to someone. I love that shit.

FAV FIVE COMMENTARY DUOS
1- Monsoon/Heenan
2- Ross/Lawler
3- Schiavone/Anyone
4- Vince/Jesse
5- Vince/Lawler

I gotta stop you with Schiavone/Anyone, because that means you'd be ok with Schiavone/Madden and that's pig disgusting.

I've watched a lot of their original programming, it's hit or miss. Legends House turned out to be an unexpected guilty pleasure watch. I really wish they'd resurrect the Legends of Wrestling round tables though, I loved those things.

I followed up and asked about Bull Dempsey discussion. We're good there. We just don't need to be so mean-spirited towards Owens.

I wonder if they still had more episodes left to show.

What about West/Tenay tho?

I loved West/Tenay unironically. They were so camp, I enjoyed it.

I'm more of a napsack type of person. It's not as obvious as a regular backpack and it has the cool look of a duffle bag.

I didn't even think about that, honestly. Thanks

Ventura is great with most

Ventura is one of the best heel commentators. He is what any heel commentator to aspire to be. JBL is by far the worst, he bounces from being an obnoxious heel, with shitty excuses for supporting heel wrestlers, but then he praises faces, especially Cena. Makes no damn sense, Maggle..

Tenay is a guilty pleasure. Dude was always on point when it came down to luchadore matches, but a bumbling monotone moron when it comes down to everything else.

Tenay broadened my horizons a lot in WCW and lucha, I will always appreciate him for that. I came away from each Nitro having learned SOMETHING about lucha for a long time.
