K-Pop Fanboy/Fangirl |OT6| Thank You for Love

Yesterday Sica left, now Sulli... seems like SM's lawyers work like the government. Show up once a year to do business and retreat back to wherever they're from lol.

Speaking of Sica, I like how EXID doesn't give a fuck and namedropped Sica when randomly singing Cold Noodles in EXID Showtime... they even had the audacity to refer to her as their senior.

Speaking of EXID Showtime... my god, this might be the best variety idol show in existence. I don't think I've ever had this much fun watching idols screw around in TV. Each episode is like "fuck all y'all fake hoes and we're gonna do whatever the fuck we want" type of thing and it's awesome. Like the recent episode for example... somebody tell me why I spent 30 minutes watching 5 girls eat and bullshit, and I came out of there enjoying every single moment?

On that note though, hotbody Jungwha is stealing the limelight... or the editor is a massive Junghwa stan since I was falling head over heels during that episode lol. And I've finally realized why LE is LE... she's a damn irl tsundere. Hyelin is too much of a damn potato it's kinda adorkable actually. I still maintain that Solji is a fun night out and Hani's gonna Hani haha.

But seriously EXID Showtime is fan-fucking-tastic. I was trying to get into Channel SNSD earlier this week and it was just the most boring fake-ass shit I've ever seen on TV. It was trying too hard to be funny, almost everything was clearly scripted, and you can tell that they're desperately holding on to their image. Like they can now openly talk about alcohol but they still beat the bush around the dick(pun definitely intended). That question about Yoona's type was so cringe worthy, especially the moment somebody mentioned Seunggi and they all giggled like 15 year old school girls acting like they shouldn't have said it... get the fuck outta here with that mess.

You can tell I'm already ranting right now so I'll just stop lol.

As I've said before, good fucking riddance.

Now the question is, will Krystal re-sign or resign in October coz apparently her contract is up soon.

Krystal will bail.

Yep.

With f(x) on the brink of destruction and her sister out of the company... I see no reason why she'd stay.

I'd personally conjecture that there's already bad blood between the Jungs and SM so I'd be more surprised if she decided to stay.

Real Wonder Girls Ep 1: The Secrets of Wonder Girls Comeback

What song is that they're playing at around the 3:30 mark? I've heard it before, but I can't remember where it's from and it's bugging me like hell right now... idk if I can sleep until I know lol.

Krystal will bail.

Actually, after how Sica and SM have resolved the contract termination, I'm more positive of Krystal being more comfortable in the company now. It could even be one of the conditions why they had those extremely kind PR statements yesterday.

If you didn't like Sulli you don't appreciate what makes f(x) special.

I totally get leaving though. Good luck.

T-ara was alright on Music Bank. The song is alright, the hook is alright, everything is alright. Eunjung lookin preeeetty good.

A Pink was amazing as usual, not afraid to go for typical AE beach styling to go with their concept even though it's basically what SNSD was doing. Eunji was particularly stunning tonight. The song feels natural to me now after having heard it a bunch. P.S. Apparently they just walk around naked at home. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Wonder Girls did pretty well, especially Sunmi (as expected, she's perfect) who had super charisma. You can really tell they are still soooo new to moving around when they play instruments, especially Yeeun with the way she braces her arm to know where her hand is on the keyboard. No solution for that but years of practice. It's cute seeing them take on the challenge tho, especially since so many idols wouldn't. As was understood and said in interviews before, their time in the US helped them really understand the world and history of music larger, and they want to live and grow in that realm, not just resting on idol laurels or caring what people think too much. That's cool.

It's kind of weird to see Shinee and Suju coming out at the same time. I know they are different, kind of like Soshi and f(x), but SM generally likes to still have a focused push. I guess Suju is coasting now in their elder years and just does whatever they want while Exo gets concentrated promos. I heard something about Red Velvet coming back soon so I maybe they'll want everything out of the way for that?

Beast goes up next to A Pink for the win and doesn't really interact with them much at all as they are crossing paths for A Pink to exit, like they'd rather not even look at each other while they bow to everyone else. It has happened a few times now. Kind of weird to me with the company connections and all the history they have together. Maybe some dating assumptions were true?

Edit: CLC bringing that, uh, "fresh and unlike anything else" image.

Hey guys, jumping in here hoping you can help me find a several year old song from just my vague description of its music video.

Basically in the music video, if I remember correctly it focuses on a korean guy ( i think it's the singer ). And during the mv he kinda follows a girl around that he seems to like. thematically the mv is quite comedic and upbeat. And the last thing I can really remember about it is that he is bald, which is something that gets revealed at some point in the mv

I know it's very vague and chances of someone knowing is small, but it's been bothering me a long time that I can't find it.

The real reason Sulli left:

2751CF4352B01D0238F9B5

Sulli and Krystal's no fucks given attitude had its place, but there are instances where it just isn't welcome. And while this isn't quite what was being hinted at above, Sulli's laziness didn't make f(x) special anymore than Jessica's did SNSD. Even at her worst, Krystal remains a far better singer, dancer and stage presence than Sulli. Also happens to excel in areas where her sister fails.

Sadly, Krystal and Victoria have no great need for f(x); Sulli as well. Krystal has already done multiple solo promos in China. Modeling in Korea and China alone would be very lucrative for her and Victoria, to say nothing of doing so in other countries, or other activities which either of them could easily pursue.

Plenty of idols are getting D, while being in a quagmire about there careers/life direction/station in life, yet most still manage to perform and be there for people who rely on them. No, you shouldn't have to maintain a false sense of obligation to others above your own interests, but don't be surprised if there is ill will towards you even if you didn't intend for your actions to have negative consequences.

It\s less about singing and dancing than personality, especially in a group like f(x) where their unique character is so essential (and the songs not reliant on belting, nor sharp routines). And it's less about laziness than being yourself, finding some sort of outsider, rebel-y voice in the thick of the k-pop machine.

Anyway

Hyuna is doing a summer song. Pool, bikini, etc. Hell yes. Can this finally be a worthy follow-up to the greatest song of all time - Bubble Pop?

Just realised that the Korean festival in London—the one that f(x) is due to perform at—is actually this Sunday. I didn't think they'd be on stage (and in the UK of all places) so soon after that announcement.

Just got around to the WG comeback. Man everyone is dropping out :( I didn't know Sunye AND Sohee both dropped (Sunye I could understand) and now f(x) :(

Although I'm a little confused at the WG "band" concept. I could of swore on a promo video they would be "performing" (playing their own instruments) as a band and that blew my mind, as they had a lot of time to practice. They ended up using instruments as props.

You guys are jumping to conclusions with Krystal. If she completely believes Jessica was wronged by SM or if she's tired of the celebrity life it's one thing but I can't see her leaving SM under the conceit that she could make more money elsewhere. She's definitely top star quality but I can't imagine she will want to muddle through the same circumstances her sister did. For better or worse SM has made her a star.

All the rumors suggested that F(x) was sticking together through thick and thin despite Sulli's issues. All negative press from the breakup was directed at Sulli. Amber and Luna are more over than they ever have been and physical album sales have been peaking with Chinese bulk buys.

If I was in Jessica's position I would tell my sister to so stay despite my issues.

No they've performed live several times now, including on Sketchbook today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWs-T3PYR5A

- it's just the regular kpop shows don't allow for live instruments.

It's wonderful isn't it? I think every k-pop fan has to watch it. Seriously EXID's got to be the most likable bunch of idols in the game. And what makes the show so good, is the variety of "quests" they undertake lol. EXID versus the carnival rides.EXID vs the arcade. EXID vs EXID: The guessing game! It's incredibly fun to watch, and IMO all 5 of the girls shine.

LE's a total alpha type...badass girl...with little slips of uber girlyness from time to time. Solji's a total queen that gives no shit about nothing. The stuff she does and say is just...incredible. Goddamn she rocks hard. Hyerin feels like a little kid, in a grown woman's body. She's adorable. And Junghwa is so goddamn photogenic it's ridiculous. And then there's Hani, who is perfect and fun as hell, as everybody knows now...but still the other 4 outshine her in many ways.

Of course, not so sure about when, her contract ending soon does'nt mean anything, after all, Sica left months after her renewal.

f(x) debuted 2009, usually these contracts are 7 years, so it ends next year, not upcoming October. If her contract with SM simply ends, without issues, she can just change to another agency without grudge from SM, if something like an acting career is desired outside SM, or even leaving entertainment business, who knows. And I also think she will leave SM by then either way.

Soyeon also said, “I can’t help but feel that the good songs are now wasted on us, because the Korean public doesn’t love us anymore. I think that [So Crazy] would have been loved by everyone if we had released it before the incident. I hope that people can at least love our song without any prejudice. It is so hard to place first on the charts now, and we were already so excited when we were placed 39th, and we screamed.”

Ouch.

Can this group have already a proper debut, MV or something. I need some E-Girls realness in k-pop.

JYP really pushing them in Japan.

This song had potential, but there is something that doesn't click. Also, trouble maker guy is so annoying.

They have been performing without Sulli for over a year, it's just now that they made the official announcement. The weird thing would have been Sullii coming back to the lineup at this point.

I still have faith in f(4). There has been zero indication of Krystal wanting to leave the group, and they would have grouped her and Sulli's announcement if that was the case. I feel like this is morelike the JYP pre-Reboot announcement of the new lineup, so they can start teasing the next f(x) comeback with the current lineup clarified. #Believe

Wow, this was actually good. Their showcase performances were completely awful, but this is quite decent. There is still some obvious awkwardness, but still really entertaining. While other veteran girl groups are half assing everything, Wonder Girls are working so hard to bring something different.

llheuty u hear bout this bullshit

I see they are after those Chips CF deals. But the real bullshit is that Sungah is not on it.
I'll take anything at this point that could help them getting more promo and money to fund comebacks.
