Do you know who's developing this?
Great price. Timing is probably not the best for most people, but I look forward to it.

Day 1, but I still want to see som 1080p screens to assure me that this isn't going to be a trainwreck of a port. The last batch of screens didn't exactly instill confidence in the project.

Besides being an enhanced version of a fantastic game that wasn't easily playable elsewhere (not many people own a Dreamcast these days & the PS2 & older PC ports were bad), since it's on Steam, we'll be able to track sales via SteamSpy. :)

The original release isn't exactly a looker. I mostly just excited to get a conveniently playable version with a hard mode.

Finished it a bunch of times on the Dreamcast, still one of the best battle systems in RPGs.

Will buy this as soon as it's available.

Darn, really wish this was up on PSN. Don't really game on PC much so not sure if my laptop can run it, but I'll give it a whirl. What other common game on PC would this be comparable to in terms of running power?

Nope. Completely separate story.

Nice, day 1. From what I've played, I liked the original Grandia the best though.

Yes, you are missing out on one of the best JRPG of all time.

A better game :)

Looking forward to this. I was going to wait for a sale but launching 25% off is pretty good.

it's like most final fantasy games, they don't really carry over but a few things might relate.

It won't affect your enjoyment of or ability to follow the story in II, but you're missing an amazing game.

Eh, I'll just play the second game. I don't have time for many JRPGs anyway.

Grandia 1 has the better story & the more charming graphics IMO, but Grandia 2 has the better gameplay, which should be even better if the HD's version new hard mode is balanced well.

It's an enhanced port of a Dreamcast game - it probably doesn't require the most powerful hardware.

This is one of those precious few RPGs where the battle system is actually, genuinely very good and fun throughout the whole game.

If the port is at all decent, it should run on a toaster.

Intel integrated graphics in the most recent Atom are over 50 times as fast as a Dreamcast.

I have $12 sitting in my Steam account, why the hell not. I'll buy it for being raved about and nicely priced at launch.

Never played before, does it age well?

Grandia 2 is incredible for two reasons. I am not a big Japanese RPG player but this game does two things really well.

COMBAT

and

CHARM

The game is charming as hell and the combat is fun, engaging, and perfectly paced. It is helped by a pretty good story and some great characters with charm, charm, charm.
