Ugh, what a mess. I've got an email from Game saying they wouldn't start taking the money for the MGS V CE until Wednesday. Of course, they tried charging about 8pm yesterday and it got cancelled, no grace period or anything. Call up customer services and they arranged a callback, but said it might not even be today.

Just ordered the regular from TGC. At worst, I figure CEX will give £30 for it, but I'm gonna cancel my Fallout Anthology and Steam Link from them probably. They're not even worth the hassle for exclusive things.

EDIT: To Games credit actually, they did give me a call back 5 minutes ago, got the order reinstated so called up TGC and got that one cancelled. Sounded like the CEs are going out today as well from the guy I spoke to.

Still nothing on MGS from Tesco, I preorder for £35 from them months ago. Anyone else in the same boat?

Also TGC apparently still waiting on confirmation of when they'll receive stock for Mad Max. Got the Tues and Weds booked off, they better arrive in time!

Same no movement from Tesco as of yet, however I noticed all copies from there come with a free code for MGSV: GZ. I got Batman and ESO on release from Tesco!

although I somewhat foolishly dropped £12 on FFVII iOS cus I wanted something to play between today and that - I thought it would be another few days at least. Oh well :p

Shame that ShopTo doesn't let you pay with anything but a credit card with the same billing address as where an item will be shipped.

Have my US credit cards but the billing address isn't the same as my current German residence. Anyone know of anywhere else I could get a steelbook copy that will have all game content in English?

They do with PayPal, but you need to have had two successful orders beforehand. It's to protect against fraudulent orders (imagine your card details being stolen but the fraudster using any old address to receive high value goods).

I've never pre-ordered a game that's arrived before release day before, will I get in trouble for playing it before Sept 1st?

I got an email from them saying it has been shipped as well, though I was under the impression that it is being kept 'somewhere' in preparation for release day delivery? I don't really know, I haven't ordered from them before.

It would be slightly pointless for me though, I've ordered the LE PS4 from them as well and I do not have a shipping confirmation for that as of yet :< Can't play the game without the console!

Had my email from SimplyGames so hopefully it actually has been dispatched. I still remember them doing the same thing with Persona Q and then nobody who ordered through them got the game until the Saturday.

No but don't stream it via the console's streaming things. As a rule of thumb I would say don't stream it anyway (like even the old capture card way) as your streaming account will probably get banned, but if you are desperate to it's probably a better idea to do it via capture card through PC rather than using the console's built in one, as that also puts your console account at risk.

Thanks. No interest at all in streaming, just want to play it for my sweet little self.

The very last game I pre-ordered was MGS4 back in 2008 and I picked it up from a shop. I know this gen is different so I just wanted to check in case I did something wrong.

Did they actually, though. GAME are pretty notorious for shipping confirmation e-mails, but witholding actual send.

But yeah, the bank holiday makes sense. Would love to play over the bank holiday!

No problem :) also I would keep anything you make with the share button/Xbox record to yourself until the 1st.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they haven't sent them yet it's far too early. I did get excited when I got my email too lol.

So are Simply Games actually good? Like do they arrive early, I see games like Gears and Until Dawn available now but they don't come out until Friday.

The actual website itself should tell you if it's actually shipped with Game. They send a pre-shipping email quite often that makes it sound like it's been shipped.

Almost all Friday releases are dispatched first class Wednesday with them, so unless there's a backlog of pre-orders to get through, you should get it tomorrow but Friday at the latest.

Hmm my TGC order status is "AWAITING STOCK/RELEASE".. hopefully it's the latter. Would be crap if they were actually waiting on more stock.

All this MGS 5 hype is making me think about getting the game... I just don't know where to get it from.

Doesn't help that some game websites seem to be running slow (and ShopTo is offline after a power issue). I blame you lot overloading their websites checking to see if your games have been dispatched early!

Given that MGO won't be launched until a good while after the game's release there shouldn't be an issue, sorry for not saying any absolutes but I just can't predict Konami with certainty outside of fucking over their consumers because reasons.

Likely, it sounds like they're going out today. Just check your order to see if it's going out 1st class as my reinstated order is now 2nd class ;_;

Depends entirely what class it is I think

If less than second class, it'll probably be Tuesday. Otherwise you should get it early, there are 3 valid delivery dates for Royal Mail left before official release.

Theoretically, second class should still be Friday or Saturday 2-3 days with a large package. At least that's what I'm now hoping for. My Smash Bros from ShopTo with the GC adaptor took 2 weeks...
