it's at the 100 mark (slightly under) so it should be sent by tracked post the CE :S

Really? they told me Tomorrow in which case they'll be probably be sent to your local sorting office until Tuesday morning I'd assume as they do do this and GAME being GAME can't risk pissing of publishers.

Yeah, I'm betting that mine was actually dispatched when I got the email (mine was at 8pm compared to everyone elses in the day) via second class because they get a bulk discount on the courier and I missed the courier, meaning I'll likely get it Tuesday or after. Gotta save them costs :p

Which one? The MM one is a N3DSXL. You won't be getting that edition any cheaper anywhere else (only eBay will you achieve about £20 off perhaps not even with the statue). If you want that particular edition, you're corned off.

If you want a N3DS model, Amazon France have the same bundles for cheaper. White N3DS is about £113 (£119 with shipping included). the Black one is a bit more at about £123. Again, eBay is much cheaper as there seems to be little demand for N3DS or information asymmetry on what it is (looking at the descriptions). Chargers are obtainable for about £7 so the black 3DS may not be worth it.

So I would suggest first you decide what model you want, if you want the special edition and then look to different retailers.

I was gonna get the smaller mode. It's £129 on Amazon UK or £113 on FR as you mentioned. However, I see they have they XL version for £133 on FR compared to £185 on Amazon UK.

Nintendo UK has the bundle I mentioned in the smaller 3DS form for £195.

If I ordered the standard N3DS from Amazon FR which seems to be a lot cheaper, would this be OKAY to work in the UK with a standard 3DS UK adapter? Which of the three models I mentioned seem like best value?

Want a free flashlight with your MGSV? Amazon.de still has it as a pre-order bonus (also, the Shinkawa steelbook is still available).

Yes, the UK adapter will work on the France 3DS.

If you're indifferent about the XL and the regular, it seems like you'd prefer the XL. But I don't know you're preferences, so you'll have to decide about that.

EDIT: Ah I see you mean the £195 non MM Special Edition XL. If you can get your return on the money on that package you could get it down to the other prices. MM Special goes for £35 on eBay. The statue goes for about £15-£20 on eBay, but could rise over the next few years. Charger is about 5-£7. All this depends if you're going to sell or buy back these parts of the bundle used.

To me, the best value is getting the France 3DS (if you want a non XL N3DS) by about £10-£15 (depending on exchange rates and market prices) and purchase whatever games and accessories after.

I think prefer the normal sized model, due to better density and being used to the smaller form factor in general.

I'm probably going to buy just the base model from France then and buying the standalone MM title. Also, which shipping should I choose? Having a hard time running the page through a translator since it doesn't seem to want to recognise any of it.

I just usually pick the cheapest shipping from France and it's pretty fast. Just check with your bank about foreign currency conversion rates if you do it that way, they usually have a charge. Amazon do their own conversion when buying to the UK, but it's not always favourable.

Awesome, how can I check this with Natwest?

Also, if I purchase MM3D from there (works out cheaper), I can play it in English right?

Looks like it's the Visa exchange rate (can be checked at http://www.visaeurope.com/making-payments/exchange-rates), then 2.75% commission and if it's a debit card, an additional fixed fee of £1.25.

I have zero idea how much I pay then. It comes to a total of £149.50 on Amazon FR. I'm using my Natwest Debit so how much would it actually cost me?

Sorry, I'm pretty crap at these rates.

GAME too then? yeah same here I got my dispatch email from GAME yesterday for it but it's still in their warehouse :/ they said they'd be shipped on Friday.
Err, no GAME. My items were ordered through the local branch of Euronics (a semi-known Scandinavian/European householding electronics store).

There's a couple of different models with different prices. Give me the link(s) of what you're buying and I'll give it a shot.

Tesco have told me on Twitter that MGSV will be dispatched by Friday, so that's fine. Would be nice to play this weekend, but I can't complain if they send it Friday. Saturday would be too late, but Friday means it's luck of the draw as to whether it arrives early or on time - which is fine for £35.

Thanks to all of you for this thread and for whoever linked the SimplyGames MGSV pre-order originally. Really happy with how everything turned out.

Hi guys,

Sorry if this isn't the thread for this, but Shopto haven't shipped MGSV yet. According to their Twitter they're looking for evidence that other people have received copies already before shipping.

Any of you guys who've received it able to send evidence their way?

Curious to see whether SG will be as early with shipping the other biggies later this year. Thinking about switching my Fallout and Tomb Raider preorders to them.

I don't think anyone from GAME has gotten theirs today.

Yup prime now is amazing, too bad they only ship to the NESW postcodes though =/, I'm in London danm it. The discount was £25 when it launched, I got an SSD delivered to my grandparents house, which was both further away from their depot & further away from central london -_-. I have no idea how they make it work & free delivery for prime users as well. Super convenient.

EDIT- Nevermind, they now ship to my address as well =O. Would've been nice to actually get the notification I signed up to notify me when they were in my area¬_¬.

By squeezing every last effort out of their workers, unfortunately. :( super convenient company with amazing customer service but apparently they treat employees terribly.

Yeah I've seen that, it appears to pop up a couple of times a year and then nothing happens or it gets blamed on conflicting reports.

That Shopto twitter convo quickly escalated.

They shipped my copy yesterday.

[EDIT - Correction - they charged me yesterday, I'm not certain if it's been shipped. I'm away all weekend til Monday evening anyway so I'm not fussed.

Shopto had to manually pack the steelbooks with copies and they had a power outage, so the anger is a bit unfair that they didn't beat another retailer in the early delivery game.]

Wtf is wrong with people?
"I didn't get a game 5 days before release date so I should go on Twitter and swear at/harass the customer support team"

Like... It's not even as if today is the last day MGSV could ship and still make it in time, and it certainly isn't the release date, and there is a huge difference between expressing disappointment vs. outright aggression. People can be so rude.

Yeah, I get the jealousy, trust me! But first class post doesn't even mean next day if it was despatched and if it's not been, then its nowhere near close.

Also, with this thread and the various MGS ones, I really think the "OT on release day" policy needs to be reviewed.

That Sierra 117 ‏@HisLonelyMan is an absolute twat. If I was Shopto I'd hold his order until as late as possible.
