You can leave negative feedback about your opponents that will impair their online play? How in the hell did whoever design that not immediately assume it would be used for retaliation and griefing? Incredible. Played feedback should only be used to help mods look for hackers and cheaters. Actual cheaters, not people who use dominant strategies.

When I first heard about this, I thought it would essentially function as a standard reporting system, except on an OS level. I had assumed there would be agents responsible for verifying each claim raised, and once a report is confirmed, the user loses rep. This manual verification would be even more vital here since what classifies as bad behavior would vary from one game to another. Did Microsoft really think the community would just police itself? Do they not know how the internet works?

We have noticed a recent influx of threads dealing with issues being suffered by the reputation system. The biggest complaint we are hearing, is good players are being falsely reported, and loosing rep unfairly.
So, instead of having 200 threads about it, we have decided to create a megathread dealing with the issue. This gives everyone a place to read up on the experiences of others with this problem, and to get help.

They are saying "don't give good rep to those you have not actually played with." That's how I read it, there system is probably setup to flag someone who gives good or bad rep to people who they have not interacted in a way to do so. The odd thing is you can't give good rep on X1, its automatic after playing a game and not reporting them.

The only way these systems work well is when they are automatic, for example legit going out of bounds in a mp match should be classed as using glitches.
The system also needs to remove 'cheating' as an option, it's like the first direct insult you can give someone if you get salty from being beaten, if the option is there they are going to use it.

This is the game's fault for not matching teams properly, not the players fault for being good at the game.
People reporting others for beating them are idiots.

I hope they can come up with a good system because I recall that people asked for this very thing last gen because your rep back then didn't mean anything. Now it's swung too far the other way. I'm not sure what they could do other than scrap it or make it meaningless again but hopefully they can think of something.
