So played Hohokum for the first time today. What in blazes is going on there?

It's supossedly a relaxing game in which you go around trying to figure what you should do. The game gives you no hint or clues at all.

Honestly it wasn't my cup of tea, though OST and visuals were stunning.

Anyone else ever have the problem where the PS Store just stops accepting your card details, on console and on the web shop? Won't even accept my paypal, which is absurd. Crazy because the same card always used to work. I've tried reentering the address so many times, looked up my bank account statement and everything.

I thought it might be because I'm living in a different country from the one where my account (and credit card) are based, but even a VPN doesn't help. Looking online it seems tons of people have had this exact same problem but I don't see any solutions. Can anyone help? I desperately need to be able to get MGSV for preloading as my internet is crazy slow. It's also hard to find Irish PSN cards online to buy, so I don't know if that's an option.

Gah.

Want to buy Journey and DriveClub while I'm at it, too. Sony, why the hell won't you take my money?!?

Have the same problem currently. The store does not accept any of my (otherwise working) credit cards. It also does not accept PayPal. Haven't done anything weird that could have caused it, so I guess that something is wrong on Sony's side.

My preorder for Phantom Pain failed on PSN. Apparently I didn't have automatic funding on for preorders. I didn't know there was such a thing (different from auto fill wallet). I assume they'll try again tonight?

You can always disable automatic funding after your make the pre-order.

I don't mind having it on, I just wasn't aware there was even an option. I thought it would of assumed I'd want auto funding when the payment goes live (like a preorder at Amazon etc).

There is auto fill wallet when buying something that is available straight away and auto fill for services and preorders (which mine was set to off, weird in itself as I have PS+ renew by itself).

So, will they attempt again? MGS is still in my purchase and download list. Weird!

By the way, I didn't find any solution to this problem other than writing Sony an email. Found some other reports on the internet of people having the same problem. Some report that it disappeared after a while, others say that Sony's support couldn't do anything about it. So let's see. In the meantime, the only alternative seems to be to buy PSN credit on Amazon...

My MGS5 preorder also failed due to the issues I wrote about. I had to explicitly preorder again. I don't think that they try a second time.

If Sony locked down your account for whatever reason it should be fine after 24 hours. Every time you try, the lock resets itself. It could also be locked for more than 24 hours (like a week). Don't think there's anything Sony can do about it, but it's still a shitty system.

Had it happen twice before :/.

If that's the case, for what reasons would they do that? I didn't do anything noteworthy with my account over the last days. And using PSN codes to buy stuff still works.

I can only speak from personal experience. The first time it happened to me I forgot to update my CC info and kept trying to buy something. As it was on the maintenance day, I thought it was on Sony's end. Have no idea for how long my account got locked, but it was definitely more than 24 hours. After that I didn't have the need to use PSN for 2 months and after that it was fine.

Second time was when I accidentally mixed up the numbers of my security code. Do note that I only made the mistake once, yet my account still got locked for 24 hours. After that it was fine.

When Sony does lock out your account from any purchases you're still able to use PSN codes.

Weird if that is the reason. I hadn't change my credit card info, and it had worked for several months before that.

Interesting. I just read one of the emails I got from them and it says they will attempt it again. It should work this time now the automatic funding for preorders is turned on. The email even says for preorders they turn that feature ON on your account. They definitely didn't do that. I'll see in the morning (Monday) to see if it's gone through. When does preloading start anyway for MGS? Have they said?

What company makes all the terrible PS3/PS4 themes and avatars that get put up in the store every week? Does stuff like that sell?
its every week like clockwork. Half of the new items added to PSN every week seems to be their awful themes and avatars. It's annoying.

It's pathetic how Sony doesn't care enough to ensure any kind of quality for those releases.

This is hurting them too because I will actually buy themes if they are good but the store page is FLOODED with these really weird, half ass, themes. So I just close the page.

The only way I am getting themes is pre-order bonuses which are usually the best ones.

Currently using the Everyone's Gone To Rapture theme. I LOVE the radio noise/talk in the menus.

I wish there was a better way of communicating with PSN support other than phone. This is what is stated in the email when you preorder a game on PSN (UK).

This pre-order is designed to automatically charge your SEN wallet on the payment date. To enable this, when you clicked "pre order & pay" we turned ON automatic funding. This means that, if you do not have enough funds in your SEN wallet to pay for the item on the payment date (or on the pre-order date for pre-orders placed via the website), the required balance will be charged to the payment card registered to your SEN account (if any).

This clearly isn't the case because my preorder failed, and I can only assume it's because automatic funding for Services and Preorders is OFF in my settings. If they turn it ON, maybe that part failed.

Pre-loading Mad Max!

Really thinking of grabbing Until Dawn. Is there a way to get the DLC with it, or was it really 100% exclusive to pre-orders?

Ugh, those half assed, generic avatars and themes. So much pointless shit crowding the store.

Hopefully we get those Danganronpa PSV themes this week. Some decent stuff has been trickling from the JP PSN over the last few months.

Got an email this morning saying funds had been added to my wallet and MGS V has gone through. So that automatic funding setting works, but PSN turning it on automatically for preorders (as they state) does not.

Yeah, I don't like VNs. I do like the 'look' of the combat, but I simply haven't researched it enough to know if it's my thing. I had it preordered but cancelled since it was between Operation Abyss and DT2.

Ah, if you don't like military you won't like B&C I guess.... that's the draw, in a way... a military version of something along the lines of frozen synapse [which is also military-ish, just abstracted]. I process all that stuff as 'skins'... it could be animals or aliens or cowboys or anime teens, so whichever the dev settled on doesn't really affect me.

I bought Lost dimension and if you're still on the fence I think it's a game for you. I haven't played much but the game's mechanics seems solid (like a Natural Doctrine light). It looks like it might be a little too text heavy for your taste (?) but the text is also a part of the game's mechanics (figuring out who's the traitor and changing how ppl will wote).

TLDR: go for it if you have the money :)

We seem to have simular taste so I will probably buy B&C in the future.

ok, you've sold me on LD, though it's a pretty easy sell because I was very curious about it.

B&C has been on deep discount, so only get it cheap just in case. it's definitely 'budget' Frozen synapse, I just really enjoy the ability to upgrade your team over time. Also nice is that there is a hard cap of level 30 chars, which is not nearly enough to upgrade all your skills, so you need to make some hard choices. (stats are along the lines of 'reaction time', 'accuracy', 'evasion', 'speed', 'health', and a class dependent special skill... stats cap at 100, if you even get a stat that high.

Hey guys, haven't popped in here in anywhile. Has anyone asked the moderators if we can go back to the old thread format now that it's been killed off in Community?

So played Hohokum for the first time today. What in blazes is going on there?
I feel like I'm normally pretty open minded about videogames, but I really couldn't get in to this one.

I saw in TVL's video that space hulk is getting released for the vita in September.

I just read through the space hulk OT and didn't get much out of it. Has anyone here played it and like to give their impressions?

I don't know too much, but being that it's out in North America tomorrow we'll find out soon enough.

Adventures of Pip - This game is awesome. Usually a game is good at puzzles and bad at platforming or vice versa but this game nails both. Great difficulty curve. Music is awesome. Get this game.

Updating 2015 GOTY

1. Rocket League
2. Adventures of Pip
3. Rocket Knight
4. Helldivers
5. Geometry Wars 3 Vita
6. Whoa Dave!
7. Ziggurat
8. Fat Princess: Piece of Cake
9. Olli Olli 2
10. Pure Hold'em

Will be playing Mad Max and Armello. Want to get to Grow Home, Super Time Force Ultra, Xeodrifter, and Space Hulk. Too many games this week.
