Happy new thread, everyone! Picked up MGSV, Danganronpa AE, Nobunaga's Ambition, Armello and Zombie Vikings yesterday + all of the free PS Plus games. September's already off to a great start!

Armello's neat if a bit frustrating at times. Would kill for a skip turn option and local MP. My roommates love board games so I think they'd dig it.

Also, increase text size! Not sure why this is still an issue in 2015.

Wolfenstein for $12 CDN looks tempting

My favourite FPS SP Games:

Resistance 3
Killzone 2
COD4

What can I expect here?

Hum, you have great taste in FPS.

The PS4 Wolfenstein is great, but I believe it's the expansion that's on sale here. I haven't played that yet but I don't remember reading good things about it unfortunately.

I wouldn't say it was like any of those 3. It is a much slower pace than all three. If you are expecting a non stop thrill ride like Killzone 2 you will be disappointed. Probably more Resistance 3 but with a better story and less interesting guns.

Holy crap. Some of the stuff in DR:AE is legit creepy lol. Like usually I'm okay with whatever DR throws at me, but damn. Scenes like the one I just saw are definitely unsettling, heck I even got goosebumps lol.

Aaaargh, I don't know what it is. I transferred my Vita games, and only my Vita games, and now it shows 152 MB used in "system use" What could it possibly be?

Before you transferred them, are you absolutely sure it showed zero? if you want to test, do one game at a time.
are game screenshots saved with a game or separate (probably separate, I guess).

152mb isn't much in the scheme of things, i'd ignore it.

it's the expansion, isn't it?

the main game is awesome. pure FPS fun in a way that i haven't experienced in years of fps games. dual wielding rocket launcher type of pure fun.

i've heard good things about the expansion too, but just know you're not buying the full game. (sort of like Infamous SS vs First Light)

Yeah just started but this is clearly a PC port. The interface and controls are not cool. I keep wanting to use the digital pad to move but must use analog. The tutorial was terrible as I never played the board game.

Just bought One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 for Vita. Will report back on its quality. I needed something new to break up the mundane-ness of DR2. lol

I was wondering if you got the game after asking about it. I got the Vita version for review earlier this week, but I couldn't get to it yet.

The Push Square review is the only review out on the internet of only the Vita version right now and it's what finally convinced me. What I've read from reviews and other sources, it's a great way to get into the series: exactly what I've been looking to do. It's pretty daunting at this point to try to get into, what with 700 or so episodes of the anime? Yeesh (And I'm not even an anime guy [though I've been trying to get into it], so the manga is pretty out of the question). So this has the entire story of the franchise in a nice package... I'm actually really pumped for this.

I'm excited about Samurai Warriors 4-II too. I was pretty let down by DW8 Vita.

So everything's back together now. I hadn't noticed that all of my themes except Stitching (the one I had set) got erased, so I had to trudge to my download list to get them again. But even with those, my "system use" memory is 153 MB now. Way better than the 403 MB it ate before, though, aside from themes, I don't know what else is stored there. Thanks everyone for you help! Though I don't post here as often as I did, I'm an avid lurker of VitaGaf (A.K.A PSN General) :p Since august last year these threads have always had a tab on my browser, so they mean a lot. You guys are my fav GAF community!

Tbh I find manga way easier to digest than anime. In the time it takes me to watch a single episode of a shounen anime, I can read like 6-12 chapters of that manga.

Don't watch the anime, the recent 100 or so episodes are poorly adapted: 10 pages of 1 chapter turned into a 20 min. episode.

Just read the manga, some fans have put up colored editions of Ch. 1-500 with more on the way.
This game skips a variety of stuff though:
Hina doesn't show up, they skip how the crew met Vivi the first time, one or 2 of the Fishmen from the Arlong story don't show up in the game either.

Just read the manga, it's typical shonen but if you give it the chance you'll likely enjoy it.

I've been playing it on Steam, graphics is PS3 quality but I'm enjoying it.

Super Time Force Ultra is 1.1GB on Vita.

I keep forgetting that deleting while downloading on Vita is always a mistake that leaves your system hanging for minutes. Sorry Super Exploding Zoo you have to go despite me not giving you much of a chance because you are 750MB.

Hey guys do you know when will EU get the free DLC for Lost Dimension?

Also bought DR:AE. From what I can see here impressions are mostly positive. Can't wait for my game to arrive!

From what I read we were supposed to get "more than $20 worth of DLC free for the first two weeks after launch, including nine character costumes, 12 PlayStation Network avatars, a map set with additional story, and three additional quests."

But I only saw a costume and a few other packs for free. No additional map and quests.

I think that's the free stuff. Really only the costumes prob. matter since all story stuff is non-DLC I think?

Net high, world end eclipse, exist archive and grand kingdom in latest famitsu. The future of the V looks bright from where I stand (I still hope we'll get som great news during TGS though).

Games like the three you listed will comfort me when TGS for Vita ends up being a bust again. At least mid-tier stuff gets announced throughout the year with a decent chance of localization.

My hype for grand kingdom deflated a little when I read that you can fight against other players though (I want 91% of all games to be SP focused ;)

Edit: I'm hoping more for a FW or SS sequel than GR 2..

.. and RPG/SRPG>DRPG

Been binge playing DR:AE. Can't remember the last time I played a game and not be able to put it down, last time I checked I had 12hrs into it, and it's been a while since then lol.

WHy did I come into this thread? my DR:AE copy won't arrive til next week.
What am I still lurking this thread for...

Haha, I know - so good. :)

What chapter are you on?
I'm on chapter 4. I hear this one is quite long. I'm taking my time with the game, searching every nook and cranny for the shiny pages/posters. Some of my favourite moments in the game have come from me picking up a book and Toko going on a tangent lol.

It's not that long, I finished just shy of 15 hours (though I am a quick read).

Would I enjoy DR:AE as a TPS if i dislike DR in general as a VN + minigames? That is, does it hold up to other TPS games I enjoyed on the system (uncharted, unit 13)?

Seeing as the TPS element is only half the combat element (there's also a brawler element sort of similar to Senran Kagura) and it's skewed to be challenging instead of adjustable or realistic, no.

I can see this taking me about 20 or so. It's a good length in my opinion, I tend to put games down after the 30hr mark.

Hmmm idk man. As much as I love the game, you are playing this for the story, not the gameplay. The game is essentially a good 80% dialogue, cutscenes, walking to places, solving puzzles or reading and 20% or less shooting enemies. You can also play as Genocide Jack and just cut enemies up easily without dying. This is more for those who are in a pinch or those who just want to get to the next cutscene faster.

To be fair, wasn't Grand Knight History an online focused game too? Since it's the spiritual successor, kinda makes sense.

I'm just hoping for more third-party stuff that has a chance of coming west. That's what's going to keep my Vita alive going forward, Sony don't care about the thing outside of maybe Gio Corsi's team (and we'll find out more about that at PS Experience - I'm hoping they're still on board).

re. RPG's, hopefully we'll hear more about those Kadokawa RPG's at TGS:

Decided to download Titan Souls and give it a spin. Liking it so far. The game is difficult without being needlessly complicated, and I really love the art design. Load times (Vita version) seem to drag on due to how frequently they appear (each time after you die), so it can make the game somewhat frustrating.

I just tried to download my free ps+ game on PS4 and its demanding i put in a credit card because i last signed in on a different console which was ps3. Anyone else ever see this before? Why the hell do they need my credit card info.

That's the developer behind Natural Doctrine, right!?

or publisher?

I wish someone with enough media pull/influence could contact Sekai Project regarding the Vita ports of several games they've promised during their Kickstarters. Maybe Gematsu or The Vita Lounge, or any other website that manages to get a formal answer from Sekai Project about those.

*Adds this to his giant-ass to-do list.
