OK, so let me get this straight, we're basically getting two systems, both with a unified OS/toolkit. One to replace 3DS, one to replace Wii U, both with top-of-the-line chipsets.
We're now expecting NX launch next year.
Here's my question:
Both handheld NX and console NX same year/same day? Handheld 2016, console 2017? Any indication of how they'll be staggered? Both same day sounds like suicide, but will we get both next year?
Honestly, I think its one of two things:
Option 1:
One console, that is a handheld but has HDMI/Wireless dock out, so its like a Wii U in reverse. All the hardware is in the handheld, and the receiver sits by the TV for when you're home.
Option 2:
Its two systems, but plays the same games. Perhaps.. its like a PC so the game can 'change' spec depending on the system. Handheld spec (lower res graphics mode), and TV spec (high res graphics mode). Lots of Devs are used to this now, making multiple res texture sets etc
