Decided against paying 600 dollars for my Family and I to see it opening night, then go to the Hollywood Studios after party for only a few hours.

First time to see the new Launch Bay exhibit, bit it seems like it'll be open the next day, so will save the money and just see the movie later.

The fine print is true but I have never tried to refund online tickets. If you have had success then it would be a good bet for MMarston to try.
You are correct that the fine print is true but I was just meaning that they should refund it for him if he brings it into the theater.

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???
At first I wanted to buy it opening day, but then I realized maybe not, I like to view my films when the theater is relatively quite.

Tuesday Imax it is, plus it's cheaper :D

So I should go to those ticket kiosks at Cineplex, print them out, and then talk to the ticket counter and tell them I want a refund? That will work?

Looks like I had just the right timing to get opening night tickets on a True IMAX screen. I got tseats for the 10:05 PM showing at the World Golf IMAX in Saint Augustine, FL.

It's about 30 minutes south of here, and in the middle of a golf resort -- we're currently debating if we want to just get a hotel there and swim/party the whole day away.

Got tickets for sunday at an RPX theater. Close enough to imax but without dumb 3D. Reserved seats slightly back from dead center, so no competing for the best veiw. Gonna be sweet.

Yeah we're seeing it super late (days is forever when you have an FTL drive) but its the best time for us to properly enjoy it and make a full day of it so I'm happy.

Probably will then go see it in 3D the next week just because. And then see it again the first week of January at Disney Land and immediately go on space mountain and star tours.

I fucking love Star Wars.

This trailer makes me watch to watch 4-6. I've only seen the prequels when they first came out.
Oh man, I envy you. I'd recommend the despecialized versions. In ROTJ Lucas really gave a fuck you to the fans with what he added in. Goddamn those blue-ray cuts.

Just got my Gold Class tickets, it's going to be sweet watching this with a few beers. I decided against 3D. It doesn't look like there's any marathons here in Australia so I'll do a home marathon the day before.

The last Star Wars movie I watched at a cinema was Return of the Jedi when I was 5. Slightly hyped.

Can't believe it but I actually got 9 people together for the midnight screening on the 16th. Usually we have problems getting 3-4 people to make free for a movie on weekends. Now everyone just jumped in.

6 of the folks are from my own department at work - and we are all going to work the day after on the 17th. xD

Can't wait. The midnight screening is almost sold out at this point. Only the first 3 rows have seats left. Been talking with a buddy to get some Jedi outfits for that night for shits and giggles. xD Will probably dress up if we manage to find a costume rental around here.

I hope Odeon here in the UK has some special stuff to give away.

Didn't even think of this, I'd love that.

Managed to get two premier seats for a midnight release 2D showing pretty much right in the middle of the screening, kind of wish I was going on my own for some reason. I always assume my local area is small enough that they would never fill a midnight showing but seats were being filled up rapidly when buying them. Hopefully there's a great atmosphere, I was young enough that I barely remember seeing Phantom Menace in the cinema and if we're going to be getting a new film every year for the foreseeable future then the hype for this as I wait for it to begin is genuinely going to be a once in a lifetime event.

I'm so fucking excited! It's Star Wars, motherfuckers!

My IMAX doesn't have assigned seating.

How fucking early would I have to get there to get good seats for 4 people in the 7pm premiere you think?

Back when my IMAX didn't have assigned seating, I showed up 4 hours early for Avatar premiere and had others waiting from about the same time. Now consider that this is Star Wars.

No assigned seating is fucking dumb in this day and age.

I bought extra tickets for 7 PM opening night just in case some of my co-workers wanted to come along but seems like nobody is interested :( I find out more and more how little I have in common with them

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I didn't have the option.

There's no way I'm waiting in line for 7 hours so I guess I'm going to get a crappy seat and all 4 of us will be separated. lol

That's disappointing. Isn't the 3D done in post production and not filmed in 3D for this?

Converted 3D can look excellent. It all depends on how much time and money is spent on it, and I'm sure Disney will splurge for a good conversion. For what it's worth, the first two trailers look great in 3D.

Knew that was going to happen. It's the best theater in NYC (IF NOT THE WORLDDDDDDDDDDDDD) but... uh... I'll wait to saturday and pay $20.

Lincoln Square imax screen is pretty much sold out all weekend...and most seats for the good times during second/Christmas weekend are sold out too.
