Ok... this Gif is perfect..

As for the video.. I don't see it.. I am not defending this game. I'm just use to playing alot of poorly B teir made games that I could make anything work and don't notice the stuff Gaffer's can catch in their sleep.

Wow, the video with the scoped laser rifle is really bad. Looks like the game is running in slow-motion. Ugh.

Hopefully they're quick to get a couple patches out after launch.
I thought you have this game, didn't you post some pics from it? you said frame rate was fine.

I think you need a TV larger than 27 inches to take advantage of 30 FPS , your naked eye cannot even perceive the difference between 15 FPS and 30 FPS. So it doesnt even matter because your TV cant even handle it.

BWAH!

I've only played for 3 hours. I don't have any weapon scopes, and have hardly been in any interiors. I was just wondering around for the majority of my play time just exploring and shit. It's been solid for me....so far.

Have you seen this tho

That's just hilariously bad.

I hope the game runs well on PC at least...

I saw it. Sure there is a drop but nothing like what I expected from the responses in this thread. Again I've had worse drops in W3 at times. Didn't hurt my enjoyment of the game.

Going to wait at least a week before deciding what version it will be.
I'll always prefer consoles but performance has to be "solid".

To me, it just seems like a bunch of people complaining about stuff that really doesn't matter all that much. Obviously they've worked hard on this game, and if it were that simple to just completely wipe out any frame-rate drops using their current engine, then I'm sure they would have done it.

I'm still quite excited to play this game. I really enjoy the story, setting, and gameplay of the previous Fallout games, and they gave me some of my most memorable gaming experiences to date, regardless of frame-rate drops.

Like most instances in my life, I choose to focus on the most positive aspects of each experience I encounter - and this is no different.

For now, and until the launch of Fallout 4, I will go back to reading my books, spending time with my friends, co-workers, and family, going to school, doing the things I love (all of which have occasional consistency problems :D ), but that I will enjoy nonetheless.

For those of you who will be playing Fallout 4 on launch, good luck in the wasteland! Don't let the vault door hit you on the way out!

Yyyyyyup. Glad I canceled my preorder. Got screwed with Fallout 3 and Skyrim on PS3, you ain't going to fool me again. Will wait and see if they actually fix their shit by the time the GOTY rolls around.

That's what's up. It's been a strange ride watching the pre-order reviews climb and climb, as though people will be happy playing fallout regardless. Even (especially) as a big New Vegas game and PS3 player, that game is still pretty busted. Playable after the patches that it (eventually) got, but plenty of issues remain. I've been replaying it lately (what with the hype for 4 and all), and so much REMAINS busted.

I might not be able to wait for 4's GOTY (that requires a better patience level than I'm usually able to muster), but I can damn well wait to see if I need to wait for a few patches. Price should drop in the meantime, too. And it's not like we all need to pitch in for a big day 1 success lest the studio close, or something. Bethesda's gonna be just fine, and the franchise is gonna remain a hit without day 1 craziness.

I think this is more indicative of the problem of trying to push Fallout to be more fps friendly.

The free form shooting in FO3 sucked, and it doesn't look much better in the videos here. Bats clearly makes the game easier but it fixes a lot of the issues with the shooting mechanics which seem to still suck.

I guess the thing here is Bethesda brought this on themselves by going down this path without having great fps mechanics.

People will have a certain level of expectations for that gameplay and I would never trust Bethesda to deliver day one on that.

Granted I will probably never notice cause I will probably use a lot of vats in every encounter

Says an Xbox fan.

I really hope it isn't true but it is microsoft.

Figured this would run the worst on PS4. I just had a hunch.

So if this runs better on XB1 can we finally start to talk about MS marketing deal shenanigans because this would make it 100%. The other games that ran better on XB1 all had marketing deals but anytime anyone brings it up they get a tinfoilhat.gif thrown in their face.

You should really keeps this console warz crap to yourself it's painful to read. I'm hoping this is sarcasm but Sadly it doesn't seem like it. Microsoft evil Corp confirmed.

I can't wait to see how both versions compare I have been struggling with what version to get ps4 or Xbox. Now I might just wait till I upgrade my PC.

I can barely see the frame rate drop in the scope video. Maybe I'll feel differently when I play but as of now, meh. Big fricking whoop.

Are these people for real with these conspiracy theories?

ACU performed better on Xbox One.......yeah, but wasn't that only slightly better? Also....ACU had a shitload of people on screen and Xbox One's CPU handles that better than the PS4's.....that's what i read from Digital Foundry i believe.

This time with AC Syndicate, Sony had the marketing. There are much less people on screen now but does it perform that much better on PS4 compared to Xbox One? I think not. The game is also yet again 900p.

Crazy stuff people, i'm sorry.

Someone here mentioned that BGS ported Skyrim over to Xbox One and Xbox One might be the lead platform...no wonder it would perform better (IF it performs any better that is to begin with.)

If X1 looked the same and performed better and also has marketing rights, you'd think they would send out X1 copies for review...

What kind of an attitude is this to have? It's a Bethesda console game, what did you expect?

Perhaps if Bethesda are so incompetent that they can't release a game that keeps a stable frame rate they shouldn't be releasing games on consoles in the first place.
Maybe so. I'm being realistic, though.

Indeed, but you could say that about any game and just shut down gaf entirely.

Ive got more of an axe to grind after Obsidian missing their bonuses, seeing at how Fallout 4 reviews IF it also has issues and Bethesda gets a free pass. Ill still enjoy it though.

I wanted to dominate the living room. Then I took an ESRAM in the knee.

When you really love a game franchise, you should want it to be better, not to defend that it's (again) a technical mess. They are asking money from you after all, so you're allowed to have reasonable expectations.

Completely unrelated to this, I ended up canceling my digital F4 pre-order on PSN so I could go retail

Now I'm wondering if I should grab the Xbone version instead...

is it too much to even expect a properly functional game from these guys?
i mean theyre basically running the same formula over and over for which they are excused every damn fault it the world because 'it should be expected'

It looks more like OP's tv has its "motionflow" or "smoothing" effect on, which explains why all of his movements appear sk exaggerated. It also makes any sort of normal framer ate seem janky. I don't know if this case, or maybe OP simply can aim and walk like a person, only a fucking a Rob Co product.

So what you're saying is people should ignore the issues?

Witcher 3 had the excuse that it looked amazing (at least the excuse for me). Bethesda has little excuse. This game shouldn't be facing these issues. At all.

Metroidvania

People called Romanes they go the house?
Couldn't see a whole lot of drop in the original, but the sniper framerate drop is nuuuuts.

Beth's got some patching to do (not that we didn't know that already)

Sorry if I like to spend money on working products.

It's not okay at all. It's just not a surprise that a Bethesda game is a janky piece of shit filled to the brim with technical problems and a ancient engine.. Don't ever preorder their games, they will always launch broken as fuck.

Things that will only make the game playable in about 4 months and when the game will be much cheaper?

Yea ur right game is totally broken and unplayable. Might as well just break the ps4 too

How would the TV affect the capture from the PS4?
