Tom Herman has apparently agreed with South Carolina, SEC beware.

UPDATE 11/24) We are told today a tentative agreement on an offer in principle between USC and Tom Herman has been reached. The deal is contingent on Herman and his wife liking what they see when they visit USC and Herman and Ray Tanner being comfortable with one another. That visit could take place as early as Sunday or the first part of next week depending on the outcome of Houston’s game Friday with Navy. A Houston loss would expedite the process. All information at this time points toward Herman. All other names are simply fallback prospects should things not work out with Herman.

I'm good with this.

Assuming he does well at South Carolina - and I think he will - that would position him well for a return to OSU when Urban retires/dies in a few years.

I got grudge sucked!
I'm not gonna lie. This complete collapse since the Miami debacle has me depressed. Other than watching that shit show vs Pitt live and a bit of the Bama/LSU game, I haven't watched any CFB at all.

Maybe its a good time to take a break and see where the team is come spring practice. I sorta hope Duke is not invited to a bowl this year. I can't imagine where I would have ever thought that before.

Can I be a Michigan fan instead? I don't like kiddy fiddlers.

Compromise.. Cheer for Michigan State to lose.

That way if Michigan does win, it become so much better that OSU loses the division and misses out completely on the playoffs.

Or you can cheer for the meteor then..

ND needs to win by at least 30 to get a sniff correct?

Not necessarily. Iowa or mich state will be out after championship week. Depends on who looks better Saturday ND or Oklahoma. If ND looks impressive against Stanford I don't see how Oklahoma gets in ahead of ND

It has to suck to be a fan of smaller football schools.

The moment you have a modicum of success, your coaches are gone.

After Memphis upset Ole Miss I remember the coach saying "We want to show you can win and continue to win here" or something to that effect, and I think if I was a fan of Memphis I would want to believe that but I'd know deep down that he was gone as soon as someone bigger came calling. I mean I honestly thought he was gonna get the SCAR job but I guess there will be other SEC jobs.

Welcome to the University of Cincinnati. Last 3 HC prior to Tuberville:

Mark Dantonio '04-'06
Brian Kelly '07-'09
Butch Jones '10-'12

Word is Tuberville may be looking to move on (well, it is his 3rd year, so time to go).

UC does this to themselves with their atrocious stadium and facilities.

The remodeled stadium opened up this season (better late than never). They need to get out of the AAC...

As soon as they do something to deserve it! And it's not like teams in the AAC or other G5 conference are content there. Quite a few are doing a shitton to improve facilities, etc., but get passed over because reasons.

If only a number of "P5" schools just skating by and cashing checks by association could get the boot to make room for G5 programs actually investing in sports, etc....

games this week that can directly affect the playoff:

Friday
#4 Iowa vs Nebraska
#7 Baylor vs #19 TCU

Saturday
#8 Ohio State vs #10 Michigan
#1 Clemson vs South Carolina
Penn State vs #5 Michigan State
#14 North Carolina vs NC State
#2 Alabama vs Auburn
#13 Florida State vs #12 Florida
#6 Notre Dame vs #9 Stanford
#3 Oklahoma vs #11 Oklahoma State
