Really wish you could craft ammo.

I've started investing on the Luck perk that boosts ammo drop rate 'cause I don't wanna use the cheap guns.

I need a steady supply of Fusion Cells, Plasma Cartridges, 5mm, Flamer and Missile ammo. Will see how long my supply lasts and if the perk solves anything.

So GAF what playtime are we looking at so far? I'm on 2 days and 18 hours. Working full time, man I'm neglecting my home haha!

I think what you see in the loading screen is determined by story beats and how high level you are. I just hit level 30 and now I'm finally starting to see Plasma weapons during load screens.

What is the best way to get decent equipment? I'm struggling.

Also, my female character keeps getting comments about not wearing clothes.. And she looks a bit.. Naked.. But I've got loads of armour on?
And how do I collect money that my shops earn?

Question about factions.

I know that most say that
Molecular Level
is the cutoff point for choosing.

I'm wondering though, is there any specific quest for each of the factions (
Minutemen, Brotherhood, Railroad, Institute
) that pisses off another faction? Or am I free to do all of them for each faction so long as I don't actually do
Molecular Level
?

You probably took off your vault suit. You can wear it underneath so you're not naked. It also gives you stat boosts.

About to hit 3 (2 days, 20 hours) days. Taking a break during Thanksgiving week, but will be back on Monday.

Still loving the game.

I'm away for Thanksgiving so I can't check right now, but I think I'm around 3 1/2 days of play time so far. Haven't finished main quest line yet.

I ran into my first squad of Super Mutant Primuses last night. Level 65 and this was the first time I'd ever seen them. Maybe they only start spawning at level 50 or 60? Nothing too unique about them aside from just having a ton of health.

Probably a very stupid question but how do I know if a weapon is automatic? By its name only?
Also, where can I get Cell ammo?

Anyone else has no idea where to put points in? Level 24 here with about 10 points to add but I have no idea where to put it. Most seem a bit underwhelming.

I just realized in 68 hours I've probably used melee like 5 times. I know what I am doing next playthrough :p

I wonder if you can really go full melee or not. It looks like some enemies kinda force you to go range. Anyone playing full melee here and wants to share opinion?

Shit, I did. I sold it.. Any ideas to fix that?
There are multiple items beyond vault suits that act as an under layer to your armor. Stuff like dresses and the flannel-denim combo. When you mouse over them in the pip boy, there shouldn't be any armor pieces pulsing (be careful, some replace your armor, not go under it).

Besides Nick, which other companions have a personal quest?

Cait, Curie and MacCready, I think. Not sure if there's any others.

You guys weren't kidding about the Museum of Witchcraft, damn. I'm level 61 and that place still scared the fuck out of me.

Helped that I didn't take my power armor with me. I felt flimsy as hell.

Still shotgunned the Chameleon Deathclaw to death before it could even touch me. That burning damage just continously staggers it, it's OP as hell.

I love the creepy places like Museum of Witchcraft and Dunwich Borers on this game, they're the most fun to explore.

My favourite so far has to be Pickman Gallery though.

Are there any more?

Cheap tip. If there is a doorway anywhere near you when fighting a Deathclaw, just keep running through the doorway when it comes at you and it will go away, then pop out and shoot it a few times then run back through the Doorway. They seem to think the lost you and cant fit through the door. I just beat a glowing and a skull legendary alpha death claw at the same time without being touched.

So i went back to Vault 81, hoping to get Tina to follow me, cause i convinced her to work for me in the settlement, but she just keeps saying she can't wait to get out into the Commonwealth. No dialogue options or anything.

Anyone else had this?

How big is the difference between hard and very hard diffs? I'm not playing on survival like a lot of you guys, just hard, and I've reached level 34 and I plow through most lower enemies (Raiders, Synths, Super Mutants) but I also haven't encountered any of the tougher enemies in my travels. Only the one Behemoth from a certain quest and a singular Legendary Alpha Deathclaw, which would probably still put me down pretty quickly if I was face to face.

Molecular Level
is not the cutoff point.
And you'll know what missions makes you an enemy of the other factions because the game tells you when you're at that point

Once I make myself an enemy of the BoS, can I get to and kill the leader for his jacket? Hell, can I kill him before I get to that point?

Lol, fighting some Gunners on a bridge near the coast and I randomly see a fucking Mirelurk queen stumble out of the ocean.

Nothing my Gauss Rifle couldn't handle, but damn if those things aren't scary.

Not massively harder but I was in the same boat as you, started on hard for awhile but became way too powerful and bumped it up. You'll see more legendary enemies and take more damage, though it's still pretty easily managed. Survival HP regen is too slow for me to bear. :<

Actually, I just took a video of me fighting a Legendary Glowing Deathclaw on Very Hard, and all I can say is...leg shots are OP.

I used to play on hard, but started a new survival playthrough, and it took some adjusting. I found that you just had to approach fights more tactically. Not so much runnin' and gunnin'. The biggest challenge though wasn't the enemies, but the slow rate which food and stimpaks regenerate health. A lot of ducking for cover. Once I had adapted to the different style of play, I like it.

If that doesnt sounds good to you, you try very hard. As far as I know, food and stimpaks regenerate health at their normal rates. Also, if you are interested in trying survival, power armour can help make the transition smoother.

Lol, I actually felt bad for the deathclaw, watching it struggle.

Reminded me of when I used to watch those nature shows when I was a kid and when the Lions would take down an animal and I was like "FUCK YOU LIONS!" and then the next week it would be about how poachers were killing the lions and I'd be "FUCK YOU POACHERS!"

Thanks - so I guess simpler question: can I just do all of the faction-specific quests before whatever that overall cutoff point is and not have to worry about any ramifications?

3 days & 11 hours for me. Pretty much the only game I've played the past two weeks. I mean I've played Battlefront here and there but it's been mostly Fallout.

Link?

Also, "a settlement needs help". "these raiders are bothering us". *50 miles away*.

All the god damn time.

Yes. The only quests that have any ramifications are super obvious, even if the game didn't tell you beforehand.

About to start this up finally after Syndicate. Any tips on where I should put my points or what perks to take if I want to make a character who excels in rifles/sniping/shotguns?

Those are all considered rifles if non-auto. That is how I play my guy, sniper/shotgun/rifles. Luck has some good perks, I screwed up and put my points into stats before I studied the perks.
