SNK 25th anniversary just released 4 more titles to the bundle today two are shmups.

Check your bundle for the download links. As before, these legally contain the actual ROM zip files for these games so you are free to use them in either the default dotemu emulator launcher or play them in whatever emulator you prefer.

From their site:
We deeply apologize for the delay in delivery of "The Hurricane of the Varstray," scheduled to start on Dec. 15, 2015, because of some matters of rules and regulations.
We will announce the new delivery date on this website in a few days.
As for the boxed edition, it will arrive in stores on Dec. 24, 2015 as scheduled.

They also have the warp mechanic in Zangeki Warp. From what Nyu Media said, they're bringing that and Wolflame over to the states as well.

Okay wow, expectations were high but this exceeds my expectations!

I'm seeing inspired takes on Super Star Soldier, Mushihimesama, Crimzon Clover, and a few other things in this. Bullet canceling, bullet grinding? definitely some melee though but not like how milestone did it and it looks super cool, definite Star Soldier overtones in level/enemy patterns, some bullet types from Mushihimesama (yay! I love the whipcord pattern), and then just a LOT of its own sorta thing with the super fast movement, and bullet field negotiation. Plus that is a bitching select screen GUI.

Varstray has been released. I'm also adding entries for GunnHeim, Raiden Legacy Steam Edition, Steel Rain, Vector Strain, and Circuit Breakers 2015 under releases.

I'll also be moving the 2015 releases to another post in the topic to make room for 2016 releases. I'll be adding every release to this list. I was too lazy to sift through all the 2015 games.

Still have Deathsmiles (US version) and even Deathsmiles 2 (that one odd japanese digital release on the US Xbox) but I will pick this up to support Cave and hope they continue to bring their entire catalog...eventually.

I just wanted to bring up Battle Traverse from Naut Mark. I had my eye on this last year and didn't realize that it's already been out in Japanese retail for a while. It was released in the middle of last year in Japan only. You can download a trial on the website.


You can buy the digital version here. There is a patch that you can nab from the website.

The in game menus are in english, so it's pretty import friendly.

Sweet thread. Lots of good stuff here. As one of the creators, I'm interested to know why you guys always leave Shutshimi off these lists? It always makes me curious.

I started this after Shutshimi was released and only originally planned to keep my release list from October 2015 onward. I populated the 2015 release list with some quick picks I got using the Shoot'em up tag on STEAM and then I just filled in the games as they were released for that year. I knew about your game, but this was for me to cover what was coming out in the future at the time that I created it. I

I would have added all the games released in 2015, but I felt that was a bit much for me. So it was nothing against your game and had everything to do with me being lazy and not adding everything released from 2015. Right now we have 2016 started and I moved the 2015 list to another post. I'll go ahead and throw your game on there when I make my update today.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification. I don't think it's lazy -- that sounds like a ton of work.

You guys need to buy Bug Butcher! Such an awesome, awesome game! The game draws its inspiration from Buster Bros/Pang but with much more intensity. Kind of reminds me of Galaxian in a way.

Are you me? I just reinstalled that last week, but haven't had a chance to dive back in yet. I played the demo until my eyes bled as a kid.

I'm good with it as long as it's not a light gun rail shooter type game. If it's something like Rez or Panzer Dragoon or even Kromaia, I'm good with it. Just send me a PM or post in this topic when you get some screenshots or artwork and I'll post it right up.
