Quantum Break rated for PC in Brazil

Only Scalebound remains.

I want Scalebound on PC so much. I'll get it on the Xbone obviously if it stays there but I can see it being a Dragon's Dogma type of thing where it's a good game but held back with inconsistent frame rates.

I'll definitely grab QB on PC if they come at the same time.

Why would anyone not be on w10 by now? I've been trying it for the last few weaks and it really is a nice improvement over 8.1, wich was of course already better than 7.

Every time I see a post like this I get happy that someone actually knows this.

You have to admit this would be a hell of a reason for PC gamers to switch to Windows 10.

Myself I have not followed Quantum Break much at all (due to it not announced on PC) but Microsoft could get my interest and my money.

I suppose...

Speaking for myself though, the only MS exclusive game i played last gen was Forza 3 & 4. I never bothered to buy or play any of the Gears & Halo titles, not really my thing...

If they can bring Forza over to PC and Sunset Overdrive, i might budge... might...

W10 is basically 8.1 or 7 but better.
There is stuff here and there which is annoying but as long as you use anything from 7 there is nothing you should be worried about.

The future looks bright especially if you're interested in emulators and DX12 games, those heavily improve with that.

Without derailing this conversation with win7 vs. win8 vs. win10 talk, I'd rather not deal with Windows 10 right now on sheer principle alone. I work on a Windows 8.1 machine every day, and i really don't like Windows 8 at all... soo /shrug

Why would anyone not be on w10 by now? I've been trying it for the last few weeks and it really is a nice improvement over 8.1, wich was of course already better than 7.

Please see my comment above. Let's not turn this thread into a windows shitting/defense thread...

Windows 10 exclusive usually means that it's sold only on Windows Store. Nobody uses that shit.

w10 store exclusive as in not Steam is what he's talking about

Oh, yeah, that would suck big time, not being able to have it on steam. I would probably by it anyway though.

Ok don't worry :), that wasn't my intention.

Wait, ms owns the IP? I always thought it was a Remedy IP just like Alan Wake.

Remedy owns the Alan Wake IP because it invested its Max Payne money into development of the game prior to partnering with MS as publisher. Quantum Break, on the other hand, is something MS has been funding from the off.

I don't understand this mentality at all, especially with the windows store preinstalled on every single windows 10 device. It's no different from having to use the app store on an iPhone or Google play store on Android if you want to play clash of clans or download an app.

MS has changed in past couple of years and I would be OK with timed X1 exclusivity (6 months for example) if that means that there will be PC version. It is win-win in my opinion, MS gets more money and users get choice.

You have Steam Achievements, Steam Community for screenshot sharing, Steam forums, Steam guides, Steam keeps track of your gametime and pretty much every other game you own is on Steam.

Having a game on Steam is better than having it on the W10 Store.

Steam would be great, but it's not happening...

I think the Steam/WinStore split of Rise of the Tomb Raider is going to inform Microsoft's decision on what to do with its paid games. Gears UE will spell out Microsoft's intentions.

I totally understand Microsoft are not thrilled to give a 30% cut to Valve, they apparently want to make their Xbox on Windows ecosystem thrive and exclusives are a very good way of achieving that.

I'm still very sceptical this listing is legit, but it would certainly send PC gamers a message about how "serious" Microsoft are when it comes to supporting PC gaming.

I was expecting this game to come to Windows. I don't have an Xbox One, so this is a plus. And I really prefer playing everything on a PC too.

Plenty of advantages and features to steam (and arguably even GOG Galaxy or Origin) over the win 10 store. It being like an app store ain't exactly an endorsment.

Also, MS hasn't exactly the best track record with their PC game stores.

It's all speculation anyway though. Let's see how this turns out first.

You get most of those features with Xbox Enabled Windows Store games as well, except guides and forums.

Also Windows Store does not kick off users who want to share their game library and play together unlike Steam.

I agree exclusives are good to attract people to your client but i don't think quantum break or Gears are the exclusives you want to do that on PC.

If only MS had good PC studios that made massively popular PC games...

I completely understand why people would prefer steam (honestly who wouldn't), what I don't understand is people implying that they wouldn't purchase the game just because it isnt available on steam. It just seems baffling to me, why miss out on a game just because you need to use a different service to download it

Cool, now announce a PC port of Scalebound for PC and the only reason for me to be interested in buying a XOne will disappear.

I really appreciate these kind of moves from MS, but I wonder if they are really aware of how this devaluates the XOne...

Btw this page's user going to mad soon once they wake up and find this rumor.

https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/2...estions/6028990-more-exclusive-xbox-one-games

How pathetic. Those people must have empty lives to care to such a ludicrous extent about video games exclusivity.

And if they love Microsoft as much as they claim they should be happy that more money is coming in their pocket. PC gamers are big spenders.

I'm not sure about the reach of Gears within PC gaming, but I believe AAA IPs seldom go unnoticed on PC so yes they can be big, very big among PC circles. I agree with you that they are not what we could call "massively" popular, but enough to move the needle in their favor.

I much prefer the Steam ecosystem myself, not to mention I trust Valve to maintain its service but I welcome Microsoft putting more emphasis on Windows gaming, or should I call it Xbox on Windows now.
Great looking games with DX12 support ? Count me in.

I don't care one bit about the health of the Xbox console, that is not my problem.

Possibly, but i get the feeling MS are more interested in keeping everything inside of their own baskets rather than maximizing profits (i mean how the hell do you explain a situation like Rise of the Tomb Raider???), and propping up the 'Xbox' brand on PC side of things.

If they do keep this up, they're really giving PC gamers a lot of incentive to not own an XB1... Besides the loss on hardware sales, you're also looking at the loss of XBL subs as well. If they do keep this going though, something tells me there will be some sort of catch or rub to get you onto their hardware instead...

Does not matter. They can greatly entice PC gamers to spend in what is their ecosystem anyway. I don't know how much margin they make on xbone sales but I doubt they are extremely important, the elephant in the room is the Xbox Live. Any game that can sell subscriptions such as these is very unlikely to release on PC, but to my knowledge Quantum Break is a mostly SP game so I would understand Microsoft's move.

Stuff like Halo 5 will of course stay on console.

Though to be precise, I've heard from "a" Forza coming to PC this year. Forza 6 is just my guess.

Where you have read this ?
Forza sells Xbox Live subs so.....Hard to imagine it coming to PC, and I'm not even talking about mainlines entries.

I suppose time will tell, and all we can really do now is speculate. Regardless of whether or not the game(s) are going to be primarily single player, i'm sure there's some suit over there at the MS offices trying to figure out a way they can push that subscription on to us lol.

I really hope this is true. Was planning to get it on Xbox One but then the local price got released and promptly said "fuck that". I have more faith the price of a PC version will be within reason.

It's pretty obvious the reason, though. If it's a game you really want, you buy it anywhere. Hell, you even buy a proprietary piece of hardware if it needs to be. But... if you only have a small interest in said game, you'll only buy it if is convenient.

I haven't "read" this. I know it from a source relatively close to the matter. I trust that source and that's all I'm gonna say.
