Are you sure?

At one point he shows it with an Nvidia effect on, and contrasts it with the PS4 version

I assumed all of it was PC with that one bit from Console (maybe more, but not all) but could be wrong. The guy definitely owns it on PC and a console (assuming PS4 because of past uploads), but which is which is not made clear.

There are DS4 button prompts in some parts so I thought at least some of it was on PS4.

Haven't seen this interview with a dev posted, some very good questions answered:

He didn't really say anything about a raid when he was asked about endgame. He only mentions Challenge Mode and the Dark Zone for endgame. Hmm. Massive really needs to talk about endgame more because it's going to be very important for The Division's longevity.

Does the PC version show PS-symbols if you use the PS Controller? Because sometimes PS buttons show up in the video. Could be a mix or just the one bit was for Nvidia vs PS4.
At least some of the details are definitely in the PS4 version, though. I tried several of them on PS4 during the beta by myself.

No he doesn't. He just says it's being done without Nvidia effects. I made a video (albeit shorter and not nearly as in depth) on PS4 just like this.

PS4 has the destruction intact.

That wasn't a contrast. He was just continuing the statement saying that "event without Nvidia stuff".

All of that footage was PS4.

Have the devs said anything about the input lag on PS4 yet?

https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/comments/43eo1c/input_lag_on_ps4_if_your_aiming_feels_off_this/

Quite a few videos about this on youtube too. It's not uncommon for high profile like this to ship with input lag or bad controls (Killzone 2, Uncharted 3) so I hope they will attest to a fix being in the works. Otherwise I won't be buying.

This was present on Xbox as well. I spent a long time trying to get an answer from the devs while they were streaming on whether it would be changed, but got no information. Hopefully they tweak it, or better yet, add in sliders for us to tweak.

Oh cool, thanks.

Looks better than I thought it would then :D

Is the destruction stuff rendered in the same fidelity for everyone on the server, or is it more detailed when you're the one doing it? Would it not take an insane amount of processing power to have more than one player smashing the environment up at once?

Did you upload it? Would like to see it, even when it's not as detailed as this one. :p

Looks like crowd control is going to be a big thing in later levels if those mods are anything to go by. Lots of disorientation, stuns etc.

I also noticed threat levels on the gun mods, so it looks like the game should have the MMORPG holy trinity (tank, healer, damage dealer) unless that threat % is for some kind of PvP thing.

The CD did compare Challenge modes difficulty to Raid difficulty. Which is interesting.

Just out of curiosity, what are people looking for here when they are saying Massive needs to define endgame.

For me an expanded DZ with more NPCs and less density of people, so it's easier to go rogue, is basically perfect. Anything involving MP PVP adds way more variety to the experience and will keep me going past the core story.

Are you PVE only guys looking for Destiny style raids (well Raid singular in regards to TTK) or just harder missions ala the hospital having different difficulties from the start?

There's supposed to be an open beta later this month but at this point the only thing you'll get for pre ordering are the equipment bonuses.

If the leak is not a fake, and it is true that we are getting an Open Beta I'm probably going to skip it. It's boring to play the same thing again.

Destiny style raids. If the missions continue to scale and have a similar format as the hospital mission, some of them could take the place of strikes found in Destiny. It needs to be both IMO.

Most people are looking for a definitive answer as to whether Endgame will be focused specifically on the Dark Zone or whether there will be a PvE only equivalent in terms of level and quality of rewards.

Some may be looking for PvE content that allows for larger groups but I would think it's more important that the PvE challenge and reward be of a quality that is as, if not more, meaningful than the highest DZ content.

Raids like you'd find in other online games, such as Destiny. Missions are the equivalent to Strikes so The Division needs both to sustain a PVE player base.

The Dark Zone alone won't cut it for any serious endgame players, trust me.

You guys need to see this. Holy shit.

This deserves its own thread imo.

Yeah this engine is god-tier.

Also an insane attention to detail, the metal getting dents blew my mind.

nah, stop spreading this rumor. The open beta isn't something that will happen.

Considering getting this for the PC but I'm concerned about cheating and the longevity of the online PC community? What are you guys thoughts on this?

Also, has anyone heard if The Division will support the Steam controller?

Should be fine, they already acknowledge the cheating and stated they will have something in place for that.

I was gonna get the PC version as well, but after talking to a lot of my peeps. Most are going with X1, so that's where I'll be for this one. Gonna miss dat 60fps...though I thought it looked fantastic on X1 so I should be okay.......

Did all 3 surveys.

There were some of the typical messups you see in surveys (not being able to answer neutrally on some questions, skipping some ranges of hours), but I thought a lot of the questions and types of questions were quite good.

I'm glad they asked fairly significant questions about how guns felt. I also liked that they had an entire "page" (2 questions) about how much I liked Destiny and TTK. I'm also glad they asked what needed to happen to for me to buy the season pass, and had reasonable options to check.

I did not like them asking essentially same question many times in the "gamer" survey. I also didn't like them having a long scroll of questions without repeating the headers periodically. I'm already doing you a favor by taking the survey, don't make me keep having to scroll back to the top to make sure I answer the question accurately!

Selfishly, it would have been nice if they'd asked for our Uplay account name at the end and given us SOME token for spending our time (in game currency or DZ currency, maybe a special hat or something).

Based on what exactly?

"Once you hit level 30, the max level, we create a new instance of it, so players will be entering into this all new Dark Zone," Jansen says. "[It] starts at 30 ... this whole new, repopulated Dark Zone, basically."

"We have a tremendous amount of effort and focus on the PvE endgame as well," Jansen says. "Not all of it is going to be there when we launch. We're slowly going to be rolling it out for free in the beginning.

"Rest assured, there's PvE endgame for you, and there's going to be goals and challenges and things to aspire to for you and your group. Difficult things that you really want to set your sights on and accomplish."
"We will sell more stuff for you to do in the game in the form of [downloadable content], but there won't be a pay-to-win or a pay-to-get-better-gear or pay-to-get-more-Dark-Zone-credit," he says.

"You can buy a pack of completely cosmetic items to make you look awesome. That you will be able to do, but that's not how I define microtransactions. We don't have it, I'm very pleased to say."

I think if a raid does exist, it'll be unlocked later, like in April or so. They'll want players to reach level cap first, then get their BoO upgraded as well as populate Dark Zones before unleashing any kind of multi-group content.

If there is one, it's in the expansion pass.

I don't care if the content is less then destiny. If the nex 3 expansions are big and open up new areas of NYC then I'm good. Btw is there going to be another beta? I want to play this again so badly

All I know is I hope they take the tallest building in the DZ and turn it into something where you have to fight up the floors which get ever harder, and every 5 or so you get the option to take some loot respective to that level and rope down to the bottom and extract it somewhere in the DZ, or you can continue up, where if you make it to the top you get 1 piece of best in slot gear, and can use the private rooftop extraction point to get your gear out, and are dropped off at the nearest safe house.

That would be my dream end game content.
