Just finished watching this again. This movie has aged so badly, it's loud self indulgent and dumb beyond belief. That said I do still it, i do enjoy it even though I was cringing almost the entire time.

This movie feels like a giant circle jerk about America. It would gave been much better if hey just made it a straight up revenge piece rather than the USA v Russia steaming pile of shit we got which is crammed into basically every orifice in the film.

Most disappointly is the fact that this film could have been so much better.

I've got great memories of watching this movie with my pops when I was a kid. It's so ridiculous but so damn entertaining and the soundtrack is on another level.

Fuck yea! I remember in Far Cry Blood Dragon when this track played during the final battle I got so fucking pumped!! One of the greatest moments in gaming history for me.

Funny I just watched this on Sunday. Still as fun as ever- great fight, training scenes, and soundtrack. And Drago, being a walking tree personality-wise, was one heck of a menacing villian.

Rocky IV is entertaining but mediocre-at-best. The music, training montage, and of course final fight keep it afloat. The rest of the movie is 80s schlock. As far as the pre-Balboa sequels, III is easily the best.

Rocky > Balboa > III > II > IV > V

I'd probably put Creed above Balboa but below the original Rocky.
