Street Fighter V |OT2| Another Fight Isn't Coming Your Way!

My ranked this evening. Meet a Ruy like 600lp over me and lose 2 times, get under 500lp. Meet a low lp Ruy and win go get ranking back. Then it repeats with the same players for an hour.. Lol

Had to call it for today after some close wins against some easy Kens. I'm sick so my head is all foggy and I thought I could power through it. That last ditch desperation cross up combo into super that Ken has is something else.

I find NJK works ok. You'll get a hit as they rush in or a block to think what to do next.

Neutral Jump Kick, right? I can see that. I'll have to try it out.

GGs man. I'm wired as well, I just seem to not have any luck against 4 bars.

I've played a fair bunch of sets against Mikas and none of them seem to be able to get over Nash zoning, it's a horrible matchup. A gameplan you could have is get him to the corner and make your main goal to drain his v-meter by baiting v-reversals, Nash's lack of reversals make the corner his only real weakness. Once you have him drained feel free to go to town, his only option is to gamble on a jump.

The corner and knock-downs are definitely pretty much the only times I felt in control. Baiting the V-reversals sounds like something I'll have to do, thanks.

Nash and Ryu are my worst matchups as a Mika player so I can confirm this. Mika has no tools to get around solid footsies/zoning.

Thanks for all the replies duders. I'll spend some time moshing around with my picks online and see how it goes. I guess the nice thing about my limited play time up to this point is that I haven't built up enough LP/MMR to care about. Literally no pressure. :D

And another rage quitter, Kibito, finishes off my playing for tonight. Some people really don't seem to like it when you finish them with a CA.

I have similar thoughts. As a mika player as well Nash is a fucking nightmare lol. Just getting too him is a headache, let alone keeping on him without getting wrecked.

This 'record your matches and ragequits' as evidence by Capcom is extremely abusable.
You can record all your matches and if you're particularly salty at an opponent, you can splice the point of the match when you got a combo in, and paste the disconnect message. You can even force that message popup by ragequitting yourself.

I wouldn't be surprised if trolls or ragequitters are doing this themselves. Really shoddy solution.

I know what I'm gonna do tonight!

Has there been any comparisons between legacy fighting sticks and ps4 sticks? Tempted to go get a hori ps4 stick but if they perform just as good as my TE in legacy mode I guess I should save my money.

This "solution" is just another proof that Capcom has no clue what they are doing and that it won't get better any time soon.

I've been recording the RQs I've faced but, yeah, it's not a great solution if one is particularly dedicated to throwing shade at an opponent. Hopefully, they'll take into account recurring names more than one-offs.

Wonder what their solution is even gonna be.

Only Laura, R. Mika,

Anyone got any cheesing tips?

Tell everyone that it will be fixed in June probably and do nothing

I'm pretty pessimistic about a lot of things but I can't imagine Capcom doing nothing about the rage quit problem. Their game will die super fast and they're expecting this to last. They will find a solution.

I feel like you should be the one giving the tips.

I finished with R. Mika. Her easy BnBs worked until Bison, but it took me forever to beat him. It came down to trying to punish and not dropping the combos. There was no easy way to do it with her, took me 8-9 tries.

It's not a real solution. It's just to dissuade people from ragequitting. The only people who will be punished are the huge offenders where dozens of people report them for ragequitting.

Who is On-KGB Fidoskin? His FANG is INSANE. Zoning is almost pitch perfect and he's on like 5500LP. He messed me up nicely and I have nothing but mad respect.

It's the equivalent to running around flailing your arms screaming firreeeeee when your house is burning up. It won't have any effect and no one will be stop ragequitting.

The real question is how long will it take for Capcom to roll out a real fix? Because I fear it will take them weeks if not months, which is completly inacceptable of course.

Think this is all the gifs I've made so far in an imgur album for anyone asking :)

As I make more I'll put them in there too

Dhalsim is easy, just HK and HP all day. The Comp can't deal with the range. Use MP and MK also, but only if you need em.

I just did R. Mika normal spamming HK the entire time (only charge HK when the match starts, spam it the rest of the time). Have to have EX peach ready for the last few matches (the armor saved my bacon on Bison). I got lucky with Health too. Took me two tries.

I've got Laura and F.A.N.G left for normal. Anyone got tips for them?

Most of what I've learned.

For most characters, you just need to be patient and have your best jump-in combo. It can be as simple as air HK -> sweep. The most important thing to understand (paraphrased from something I read on Reddit) is that you have to understand that the AI doesn't block or punish like a normal human being. It's relatively on/off in terms of whether they're gonna block. For the more difficult matchups (25-30), if you turtle for a few seconds they will start advancing towards you and you can intercept them with a jump-in and most won't do anything about it, but if they do, you should keep doing what you're doing because the AI doesn't work like a human and doesn't adapt, so there's a good chance they will get opened up. You should be extra patient with Gief and run away ASAP if the jump in doesn't connect, don't bother with the meaty. If you have an invincible or dashing move (i.e. Necalli's dashing slash, Rashid's dashing kick), you should spam it over and over, and make that something you exclusively use because the AI can't deal with those attacks at all because it doesn't know about what the attack is, only the input, which it doesn't perceive as a threat when you are halfway across the screen.

Honestly, 25-30 can be a crapshoot and it really is depending on the powerups you get. You should always try to keep your health high, but I don't over-fill it until I get to around 24 or 25, at that point keeping your health high is priority #1 and having high defense is priority #2.

Funny that you mention that... I want my first costume mod to be Cammy and I'm gunna be working on that over the next few days. I'll try and get Cammy winking gif tonight. :)

I take it back, you're a true hero.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I've beaten normal with 4 and lost to Bison on 3-4 more. It feels like the AI makes mistakes until Bison... I just don't know how to deal with him. He seems to be godlike with reading inputs. I've failed on Bison (with various characters) at least 15 times at this point. It is super frustrating.

Thank you for this.

F.A.N.G. is totally not my character, but I got through pretty much just using crouching HK. I did so on my first try and probably using the least effort, which is weird. The range is surprisingly good and it comes out fast, stuffing other things and getting you crush counters. I always throw out a poison ball when the match starts and another when the effect wears off; it somewhat makes up for his lack of base damage ability and the AI just walks through it. Also sometimes while mashing cr.HK his upkicks would come out, but the AI would get caught by those pretty often as well; must have a funky hitbox.

I just realised it's March soon. When is Alex coming.

It still feels like launch period.

Perhaps Capcom can give this game a boost it deserves

Alex Trailer
Patch for Rage Quitters
8 Player Battle Lounge
Arcade Mode
Versus CPU
Trials
Turotial
Daily Challenges
Boss Mode
Shop to spend Fight Money

Seems there was a connection issue after that last match. At least it was gonna be my last set, though.

GGs. I haven't faced a Necalli in a prolonged set like that before, so I learned some stuff.

That was brutal. A lot about r.Mika I had no idea about. So many layers. Christ.

Bah, that's a shame. I tired that earlier with FANG and got crushed by Ryu at 26. For some reason, he's always the gatekeeper to me and colors.

Sadly at this point the only thing I can think about is how much of this will be broken when launched and or delayed. This launch was a mess.

And yet I can't stop playing because the gameplay really pulls me in.

As long as the update doesn't break matchmaking, I'll continue getting rekt online till numb
