Years of being overshadowed by Malon & finally gets to upstage her. I for one am overjoyed.

Eh, it's not even really the same character if it's not sprites. I mean, I get why it's not sprites but they could have chosen someone different.

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
A better Zelda than Zelda finally getting her due

Replaying Red and realizing how much it still holds up made me buy Link's Awakening DX on the eShop too. I don't think it's aged as well.

whaaaat. Link's Awakening aged incredibly well. I personally think it aged better than Link to the Past.

They even tried their best to mirror her Link's artwork and keep it unique from the rest of the series. Neat!

Second. The portable Zelda games (from the original GameBoy to the GBA) still hold up, and I hold them in high regards as being the under-appreciated games in the Zelda series.

Played both ALTTP and LA for the first time two/three years ago.

A Link to the Past is a timeless masterpiece, Link's Awakening is kind of a mess, it's only a great achievement because it was on the original Game Boy. The comparison between the two holds no ground whatsoever.

Flip the two, and you would be correct.

I mean, one single sub-item equipped at all times? At least LA has the decency to let you unequip your sword if you want the mobility of run+jump, for example, or bomb+arrow. And it does so with far fewer buttons than LTTP had.

Disagree. I replayed it a couple of years ago and was surprised at how well it played. Inventory management is a bit of a pain but outside of that it's remarkably fluid, has tons of content with a really large overworld, good dungeons, and one of the best atmospheres and worlds in a Zelda game.

It's really hampered by Link's walking speed I think. I like everything about it except actually playing it if that makes sense.

Nope, still holds up well after all these years. His movement speed is fine, I don't see anything wrong with it. If anything the boots mitigate that if it's really prevents you from playing it.

Funny enough I just started my first ever playthrough of Link's Awakening.

Edit: I'm still hoping for a full console update/sequel, maybe on NX.

I love this so much. I was expecting Groose but I got Marin, and I'm not even upset. I never even considered her as a character in Hyrule Warriors.
