Fuuka is... not what most people would call good voice action. She got better in P3P, but they didn't fix her original takes and by that point the damage was done so she got replaced by Wendee Lee in PQ.

Now why Atlus didn't just use Wendee Lee in the first place I'll never know, she could've just used the same voice she did for Sera and it would be way better received.

Agreed (though Wendee Lee's debut was in Arena, not Q)

Her original VA's not-giving-a-shit in The Answer was almost an inspiration.

Does the Reincarnation remix of I'll Face Myself play ingame in P4G?

I'm sure I heard it playing (namely in MEGATON P4 SPOILERS
a scene where Dojima slumps onto a sofa, alone in the house, after Nanako is kidnapped
, but apparently it's from an arrange album.

The weird thing is it's easily the best P4 track for me, maybe except Shadow World. So it'd suck if it wasn't in the game.

edit: Pretty sure it plays in (MEGATON P4G SPOILERS)

I didn't appreciate Fuuka until PQ where she ended up being my chosen one at the second dungeon hahaha. I think it's most likely due to the change in voices, but next time I replay P3 I'll def do Fuuka's social link this time.

Is amazing how in a world when we have 30-50 years old ladies trying to sound like 15-16 years old almost everyone nailed, but Paula Tiso make her characters sound older they should be. Is like a gift but the almost robotic voice of Fuuka is like something else , at least she sounds more "human" in FE Fates.

Paula Tiso is a good voice actress, but her voice just wasn't a good fit for Fuuka (and the voice direction for the character was pretty bad on top of it.) She's done a good job in pretty much every other role i've heard her in.

I get the impression that P3 was just at the tail end of the era of half-assed or dodgy game dubs being fairly common.

EDIT: As for her character development outside her S-link, well...

Not unless you're INCREDIBLY desparate for a S. Link. Don't do it, I'm serious.

It's literally just this (nothing worth of value in the tag):
COOKING and COOKING and COOKING and COOKING and COOKING and COOKING and COOKING and COOKING

No tangible benefits like Rise's S Link either.

I was interested in Fuuka but they utterly butcher the best character development she could ever get by making 90% of her S. Link literally the same tepid, worthless bullshit all over again.

edit:

Rise and Kanji are godlike, the rest are merely legendary. I love P4G's cast so much.

Am I remembering her social link incorrectly or was the last part of her social link more along the lines of
"Whoops, turns out I'm super good with technology, so let's forget all that cooking nonsense, ok?"

Fuuka's awfulness at cooking is actually there to resolve at the end the fact that she doesn't really need to learn how to cook and that she only felt like doing so because she was insecure about her skills in computers due to it being traditionally seen as an unfeminine hobby. That's why seeing her on the last day shows her wanting to start up a computer club for next year.

Still doesn't change a repetitive and bland S. Link. I mean, look at Saori. Her and FeMC's connection is just looking after the infirmary, and incredibly many things happen and it's a varied and interesting S. Link. Fuuka's cooking club is no excuse for the mess Fuuka's S Link is.
