May seems like a bloodbath! who is getting buried?

As the title says, it seems like a big month for AAA retail releases

Battleborn
uncharted 4
doom
homefront
mirror's edge
overwatch
teenage mutant ninja turtles

there is also valkyria and dead island remastered but those are minor anyways even though i might get valkyria again

uncharted and overwatch seem like surefire hits. personally i feel like overwatch might edge out uncharted considering it is on more platforms but should be close

battleborn is going to be very interesting to watch with reception being tepid and the general vibe being negative. i had no desire to try out the beta as well

doom is a toss up but might do decent numbers like wolfenstein and TMNT also falls in the decent bucket with the name carrying it

homefront and mirror's edge are on very shaky ground and might get buried imo

Uncharted 4 and Mirror's Edge for me.

Definitely can see ME getting buried, but I really hope it doesn't.

In all media, only true fans who consume every book, film, game, or pog collection deserve to know what's going on.
Probably not getting any of those, so no worries here.

hmm, only care about Doom and Mirror's Edge, if they are really good and not just ok. and i can wait until i can get them cheap, no hurry.

based entirely on console sales. i'm expecting these to bomb:

Battleborn
homefront
overwatch (this will sell well on PC)
teenage mutant ninja turtles

i expect this to do OK:

doom

and i expect these to do well:

uncharted 4
mirror's edge

Honestly, I don't care for any of those games on that list. Maybe I will get Mirror's edge if it turns out it is really good, but that's kinda it.

Turtles, Homefront and Battleborn

This is my answer as well. I love the gameplay of the new turtles game, but I think selling it a month later would have been better for it. Homefront looks a bit shaky for me and the general opinion of Battleborn is kind of okay, and it's difference with Overwatch might help it just a bit but not enough to help it out in May.

TMNT will probably fail. Homefront and Battleborn too I guess.
I'm not sure about ME, I feel like it's sent to die once again, never to be revived.
Doom is a strange beast, I expect a hit.
U4 and Overwatch are sure hits.

Mirror's Edge and possibly Overwatch for me to buy, not much interest in the rest other than TMNT. Unless reviews are outstanding for TMNT, I'll wait for a sale on it. Enjoy playing through the budget Platinum games, but not enough at $50 or whatever it comes out at.

Digging the hole for Battleborn as we speak. It would have probably been buried by just Overwatch even thought they're very different the way people speak about it.

EDIT: Worded the post different, initially thought it was asking who was getting buried in terms of us as people

Battleborn and Homefront would be my guesses. Overwatch is gonna eat the former's lunch and Homefront is just a gut feeling of mine.

Uncharted I just paid off
Battleborn I enjoyed the Beta of, so I may get that

The rest looks like they'll be great on sale games to pick up later on at xmas time/early next year, so I may wait til then

:/ too many first person games
Makes me feel motion sick already lol

But yeah looking forward to TMNT. And kinda uncharted 4

Overwatch will do fine on the Blizzard faithful
Doom will sell well but probably be a failure commercially given how long they worked on it. The season pass will kill the multiplayer community
Battleborn feels like it is facing an uphill battle, and given how 2K left Evolve to rot I am not hopeful

I'm half expecting Mirror's Edge to be delayed. Still feels like they're barely promoting it. Delay into June or July gets it away from the relatively packed month.

On Console, Uncharted 4 will do well.

Overwatch may do well OK on PC , but on console it will go out to die with Battleborn

The rest are already dead lol.

Doom killed itself by season pass map packs that COD just about gets away with. Doom has no fucking chance.

Just Uncharted 4 really

I'm curious about Mirror's Edge but i didn't really enjoy the first one. Hopefully they have taken that idea an run with it and it'll be great.

I'm in for UC4 for sure.

DOOM and Mirror's Edge I need reviews on, but I'm likely in for those too pending.

Very interested in TMNT, but likely at a bit of a discount.

Uncharted 4 and Overwatch are going to dominate for sure. I expect Turtles to go the way of every other Platinum game (which is a tragedy, really) and Battleborn to be a big flop that is decimated in reviews (especially based on the horrid beta impressions I've been reading). Homefront will probably flop as well. Mirror's Edge, I really can't say. Maybe the good word of mouth from the first game and good reviews (if it turns out to be good, although I'm very optimistic) will give it the boost it needs. Doom is a wildcard for me. The MP impressions I read weren't very favorable at all. Let's see how it does.

Buying UC4, Overwatch and Mirror's Edge day one and may look into Turtles.

I feel you should've worded the thread's title better, OP.

Posters seem to be arguing two different things (Which game will bomb/which game they want to buy)
