No, the Elite comes with one year.
Did they change it?

people here are complaining it's only 3 months and want 1 year

I don't think most if any had to be convinced of anything...it just feels better to us. 3D games where you're constantly holding up to move forward simply feel better with the left analog stick in the upper portion of the controller to me. A compromise that works is with both sticks on the upper side, like Ninty's Wii U placements.I'd love to know how people convinced themselves asymmetric sticks are better.

It's time to bring back the true GOAT controller.
"Xbox One Pro" wouldn't be bad.
It's not a great name but I really can't think of anything else that would be as good as that.
"Xbox One Elite" would have been perfect but they've already used that for a previous SKU.
I'd love to know how people convinced themselves asymmetric sticks are better. Is it because it makes it feel like you're closer to the symbol buttons on the right? The dpad used to be there on older controllers so it feels reminiscent?
To each their own I guess but I've tried multiple occasions to see if they feel any better. I tried with the 360 and while the triggers etc felt a mile better than the Dualshock 3, it just felt impractical especially when it came to camera control alongside movement. The XBoxOne controller feels solid but the stick placement still kills it for me personally.
Anyway hopefully the new default is similar to the customisable Xbox One controller (Elite?) in terms of the quality and swap out nature of it.
Lol what? It's one of the reasons I went for One and not PS4
Oh, damn, I could have sworn a one-year warranty was advertised to go along with the higher cost.
The xbone controller is pretty bad with its shoulder buttons. Probably won't bother with any elite console since I haven't been impressed at all with their initial offering. The only thing that might tempt me is if it's a good deal more powerful than the new ps4, which I don't really see happening
When they added 3.5mm jack they also fixed the bumpers.
I literally am parsing this from a group text. My buddy works IT for a chip plant in Upstate NY. He claims (and I have zero reason to not believe him) that there is concurrent production happening for NX and a MS thing, I have no specs or details other than there was mix up between which slides were for which and the ones made for NX were intended for an "xbox one upgrade"
HmmmmFrom NX thread.. sounds pretty interesting 👀
Aww yiss, Master Chief Bros incoming. From NX thread.. sounds pretty interesting 👀
From NX thread.. sounds pretty interesting 👀
Dont worry. Im sure we gon get a clarification once the mods catch on.Chip could be anything and doesn't mean it's the SoC.
That last sentence is confusing.
Keep checking this thread in the hopes that there will be some leaked specs for the new console...
It's easy:
A new Xbox One compatible with Oculus Rift.
I can bet on it.
Chip could be anything and doesn't mean it's the SoC.
That last sentence is confusing.
come on now. You don't really think that, do you? LOL
Slide, I guess, means the chip design that is printed on a silicon wafer. What he's saying is someone at the chip fab was supposed to stamp out NX chips for Nintendo - they'd have their own design of course. But the chip fab got it mixed up with MS' XB1+ chip design and printed out a bunch of XB1+ silicon wafers on Nintendo's coin.Chip could be anything and doesn't mean it's the SoC.
That last sentence is confusing.
and possible Mic for voice / Cortana commands

Haha, not going to happen. However, 4-5x the power of XBO at a similar launch price is completely plausible if they can ditch ESRAM and use the same size chip on 14nm.Seem too good to be true, but saw this doing the rounds on Twitter this morning from Eurogamer.it https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.co.uk&sl=it&u=http://www.eurogamer.it/articles/2016-05-03-news-videogiochi-insider-conferma-esistenza-di-xbox-next&usg=ALkJrhjVkGtdIk5-CcJgelvzmgeaJE698A

"5-6 times the power of Neo."
Eh....

What do people gain from spreading such bullshit?

Currently listening to the latest Sams Report (the same guy who wrote the article in the OP over at Thurrott.com):

Not yet at the Xbox part. Will update here if there are any news.
I did not understand if via upgrade or if they spoke of changes that will operate on the fly, before the release. it will be extremely powerful from the start, i think 5-6 times PS4 Neo, then something in the order of over 10 TFLOPS or so. "
They are sourcing some place called xrays and it reads like made up BS. I personally wouldn't but hey what do I know .Currently thinking about opening a thread about the eurogamer.it rumor. I have some evidence for a dedicated event as well and also heard... Something else that would give some credibility...
