Awesome. Might be going back to this once I get the update. I only stopped using it when Chrooma was released.

Edit: Yep, making the switch back. The new gestures, keyboard size adjustments, and a couple of the other new features are enough to pull me back. I'm really gonna miss the keyboard matching the colors of apps, though.

I was in Peru last week on a business trip and I was getting LTE speeds with Fi. Data service was pretty great. Had an issue when I tried calling back home (US) and Claro's automated message said it couldn't make heads or tales of the US number I had dialed.

I would hate to see Fi disappear. I think the service might be more popular than we give it credit for. I would love to know the # of subscribers they have.

It can't be that popular considering they only allow Nexus devices.

wouldn't it be funny if htc made the best nexus phones ever made. 1 small one, one big one. Same specs and features. Super premium. Amazing camera and battery life. OLED display. 3D touch. Fingerprint scanner in the screen, etc...

wouldn't it be?!?!

Well they should because it'll be the newest Nexus.

Just installed this on my N4 and it's a massive update. Love it.

If HTC is making the Nexus phones this year I'll definitely be waiting for real world impressions before buying one. The Nexus 9 was crap.

I'll probably be one of the suckers buying it the minute preorders go up if they don't skimp out on the specs for the smaller phone. I *think* I said this last year as well, but this year I am planning on saving my cash for the one phone that will last me for at least two years and it is either going to be an iPhone 7 or a Nexus.

Ok the new keyboard update is amazing.

I love the new swipe left from the backspace.

What would make it better is if we could select to insert the cursor, ala force touch on iPhones.

Edit: holy shit! The space bar allows for cursor control!

Ugh. I fell backwards into a pool and now my Iphone 6 is apparently dead. What's the best android for cheap right now? I am still paying this one off at t-mobile and I don't feel like buying another overpriced phone.

Swiftkey is still king when it comes to typing different languages.

That's the big thing Googles keyboard is missing. I love that Swiftkey can understand what language I'm typing in without having to change keyboard layout or keyboard language. Makes dual language communication much easier.

that is the reason why waterproofing is a must for flaghship devices these days. All of them should have it.

swiftkey is kinda slow for me detecting languages. I'd say samsung's stock keyboard , which also detects up to 3 languages, is way faster

At last Google KB supports swipe for Catalan. Installed again :)

Cause Qualcomm and major phone manufacturers don't know wtf to do anymore. It's either go with the fastest SD or Exnyos or else go super cheap.

Part of the issue is Western countries don't get near the varriants that Asia ie China and India get because every dollar matters in those places.

So you see a shit ton of Moto or Samsung variants there that you don't see in NA and EU.

In the West everyone tries to sell their flagship with fucking crazy margins or else tries for a super cheap entry level phone.

Part of me thinks they don't want to use a chip like the 652 because it's TOO GOOD. 652 appears to fix the GPU issue the old 6XX devices had of being a better CPU than the 4XX but with the same GPU as the 4XX.

A 652 say Samsung Galaxy or Moto could run in theory almost as fast as some of their more recent flagships. That would certainly in their minds eat into profits as why by the $700 flagship if you can get the new 652 version for $400 with 90% of the performance which is already overkill.

Yeah. I won't buy another expensive phone unless it has that feature. It was a dumb situation of doing yard work near the pool in my backyard and tripping backwards and not having ground to recover, but it happened. I guess I will find a cheap phone for now and then get the samsung 7 edge or something else in the near future.

Update

Talked with the SWMBO, she needs a new phone, and she knew what she wanted. That being said she admitted she didn't need the newest for her usage. So since she wanted a Samsung ended up getting the S6 vs the S7 cause she said save the cash. Was $399 no tax free ship for the unlocked international gsm version on eBay daily deals vs $599 for the S7.

She wanted the S6 over the 5X. Don't think she wanted a phone as big as the 6P.

Despite the price, I think the Moto X Pure for $299.00 unlocked will fit my needs just fine. I cannot justify another Iphone and the S7 Edge is too costly right now. Gazelle will give $50.00 for my dead iphone 6. I guess I will suck it up.

The Nextbit Robin will be $300 on Amazon from May 4th to May 10th. Not really sure if that makes it worth getting over the Nexus 5X from Project Fi, but it's another option.

I went from Nexus 5x -> Galaxy S6 -> Moto X Pure. Performs great (much better than the Nexus 5x, but I had that phone before the March update which fixed the lag) with a solid camera (Nexus 5x and Galaxy were both better in low light) and better battery life than the other two phones. I do miss having a fingerprint sensor though.

I'm sorry that I don't get it... Was there something up with them not doing support for it anymore?

They are being sued for not honoring warranties in a timely manor. Weeks to months long and sometimes replacement devices of lesser value.

Moto is dead. Google's new hardware division should be interesting at least since they have the head of moto.

Way better phone, IMO. The design is so awesome. I want one for myself.

I am so used to having a fingerprint sensor on my iphone that I am sure there will be a small adjustment period.

Just watched a video on this phone. I might be getting this instead. I didn't realize how huge the moto x pure was.
