Looks like it will be good. Some of the fight choreography looked weird, like with the double hidden blades, but overall it's a solid first showing.
The trailer music, of which I doubt has any beating on the film's score, and font style were odd choices.
Edit: That release day has to move. Rogue One will trample it.

I remain hopeful. The fact that they're not directly adapting one of the storylines from the games is the thing that makes me the most hopeful, honestly; most game movies get far too caught up in trying to recreate a story that was never built to sustain a film's worth of narrative.

Seems like the Animus was redesigned to accommodate for Fassbender's abs. Can't let those sit on a table all movie.
They stopped doing that after Altair became Grandmaster in the late 1000s. da Vinci tries to pull a fast one with a butcher's knife on Ezio, but quickly backs out and explains that alterations were made to the hidden blade to accommodate someone with all their digits.

Haven't heard about a rating, but even at PG13 that was rather tame. It's possible the blood is all post production.
Oddly, the filmography reminded me a bit of 300, for better or worse.

Looks like garbage.
The cinematography looks good, though. Honestly, I'm mostly criticizing how the trailer was made. It's a pretty bad trailer that does the movie few favors. The film might be good, sure.

I only played the first two so I can't make too many observations, but:
1. I typically think of the white cloak when I picture assassin's creed. I know there are other colors in the games but it feels missing.
2. What is with that animus? Is that hollywood's hand?
3. Wish the modern guy looked more ordinary. Captain America has done the "weakling outside/strong inside" already but it is an interesting way of bringing out the themes of ancestral memories.

That was a pretty good trailer, seems to be faithful to the design and atmosphere of the early games especially. However, that Kanye music was really out of place...like really out of place
