I can't find my save files... just in-case i need to back-up them or something.

I would assume they all are in the same place, but where...

so far i found saved games here

correct me if I am wrong, but wasnt the tech demo of the 1080 running at 55-60fps without Vulkan and up to 200fps with it? Wouldnt that mean all cards would gain a nice boost from it?

Ya, all cards that support vulcan should get a nice boost in frames once they release it.

Hopefully that means I can put shadows to medium instead of low :p

Performance felt worse and more stuttery in multiplayer compared to singleplayer. I put everything to low just to get it to stay above 90+ on my 970. =/

Just gonna hold off on this until Vulkan arrives or I get that 1080, whatever may happen first.

cant find config file anywhere

I've found Doom files in:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\id Software\Doom

Steam\userdata\<userstring>\379720

I would imagine the saved games are in the second path as this is where Steam Cloud usually stores files.

EDIT:

Apparently the saved games are in Documents, so I have no idea what the other two directories are.

Hey guys, I posted this in the OT earlier by mistake, if anyone has any suggestion I'll try and acquire your weight in Gaf gold as payment

I'm sort of regretting not getting this for my Xbox One. My Alienware Alpha is just not having it with this game, big slowdowns during the first level and the intro to the second was running at maybe half speed.

I'm rolling back to Windows 8.1 so I can actually access the Nvidia control panel, but does anyone have any suggestions? The game runs like shit even on low settings, but I was COMPLETELY problem free during the beta, the game ran great.

Edit: I did a clean install of my drivers earlier today, just to be safe
Edit: also I'm going back to Windows 10 after discovering my alpha has no SLI settings to disable

No, it was using vulkan the whole time. They just turned off the 60fps cap.

I was gonna say I doubt Vulkan have any effect on shadow performance, BUT, it's possible that they might be able to render shadows in parallel with some other part of their pipeline.

They have mentioned nice gains from asynchronous compute, so who knows?

So, uh, didn't think I would get to play this on launch but someone on my friends list gave me the game.

I'm curious how it would run on a system like mine:

Windows 10 64 bit
GTX 980(Stock)
Core i5 2500k @ 4.4GHZ
12GB of DDR3 1600

Off to a great start. The game boots up and takes up 100% CPU and chugs insanely on the Bethesda logo until it just stops while it keeps using 100% CPU.

GTX 780 6gb
4670k
16gb ram

What kind of performance should I expect at 1080p?. I read through the last two pages of this thread and didn't see anything relevant. Since I'll most likely be buying from a 3rd party site I won't be able to get a steam refund if performance is shit.

I had major performance issues in the beta until I set pre-rendered frames back to default in the nvidia control panel.

I only have a dual core pentium g3258, but maybe that'll help the people with poor performance.

Happend to me too, updated to latest nvidia drivers and the problem was resolved, atleast for me.

365.10 driver update should resolve frame issue at Bethesda screen.

Ah, I'll update tomorrow when the new drivers hit.

The game runs great for me. Ultra settings and I get 60 fps 99% of the time. I lowered the shadows setting to high, but I don't know if it actually matters. The drops I got didn't seem to have anything to do with shadows. I really like the info you can see in-game. Not just FPS, but also frametimes and other stuff. All games should have that.

i5-2500k@4GHz
EVGA GTX 970 SSC
16GB RAM
Win10

Anyone else experiencing judder every once in a while? I can maintain 60fps all the time with a mixture of high and medium settings, but I can seem to do away with the judder. I have in-game vsync off and locked the game to 60 with Rivatuner as well.

Running on:
i5-3570k
GTX 970
8GB RAM

Where did those people running 7XX series cards in the first few pages go? I'm guessing the Kepler cards must be doing all right and they are busy playing.

Couldn't get a solid 60 with a 780ti at 1440p with mostly high settings/mid shadows so I turned it down to 1080p and it doesn't drop under 60.

1440p gsync, i7 5820k, 16gb ram, 980ti everything max with SMAA 1TX

Game runs like a dream! Don't know exact framerates but it feels extremely smooth and very tight controls. I just finished the first level and I'm loving it

it has a built in frame counter, last option under Advanced.

That's promising! Nothing wrong with a locked 1080p/60 on high settings. Might have to pick this up sooner rather than later if the positive community impressions don't wear off in a week or two beyond the honeymoon phase.

who is Emo-Beas?
Anyone else try streaming this? When i turn on OBS the game basically stutters constantly. I've never experienced that in a game before, IDtech problem?

This game does not like Shadowplay or Steam interface enabled. Couldn't even start the game until I disabled them.

4690K
980 Ti
16GB RAM
All SSD's

When I was using Xsplit, my performance varied. I switched to OBS multi for recording and had no real noticeable drops. Was hitting 60-120FPS+ with Vsync off.

Maybe you got the encode too high?

When im tabbed out of the game it is completely smooth.

Was only running very fast encoding so not even high. This is on a i7 4790k 4.7ghz

I streamed the game yesterday with no problem, try use borderless, and use game source in OBS instead of window capture.

Yeah i always use those.

970 GTX
3570k (OC 4.2)
16 gig RAM (1333) (I may be wrong on this)
1080p (144hz)

Ultra settings. Buttery smooth and holds probably around 75+ FPS average I would say. Is running adaptive v-sync the better option or have it turned off?

Currently running:

i5-2500K (no OC)
4gb ram
GTX 560 Ti

Spending as little as possible, what will I need to upgrade to to run this at 1080p with consistent 120fps? sp and mp. Ultra high graphics NOT necessary but but would like them to be decent.

I'm guessing a GTX 970 wouldn't be enough?

Nope. Need a better card than that and your stock 2500K might bottleneck a powerful card. And get more RAM, 4GB simply won't cut it.

How did they manage to be worse than the beta?
Everything low, smaa 1440x900 and it still drops frequently. And it tears while in borderless windowed mode wtf?! How is that even possible?
But at least the v-sync is the shitty old barebone version, so it locks to 30 when it drops, or just turns it off at adaptive. God damn the idtech 5 heritage really shows.
Config:
i5 4690, 12 GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9, MSI Gaming 270X 2GB (with 16.5.2 Radeon Software) and I installed it on my Samsung 850 Evo SSD.
Edit: It's the VRAM. CPU usage around 45% (good multithreading), gpu usage around 60%, vram is always full. Such a bummer. Why did they even put 2 gig cards in the requirements when the game cleary goes over it constantly even when you run it below FullHD. :(
