Dark Souls III |OT+2| Why Can't We Poise the Game?

I think Luck's major import comes in the form of Speed Runs abusing Bleed/Anri's Sword. In general play and prolonged play, I think it falls off as a stat because you can get similar bleed from other weapons + Rouge while pursuing a much more damaging and capable Quality Build.

The other thing to note is that the quickness of item consumption makes me dislike Bleed in PvP, and investing so much into Luck just cripples another key stat. I'd sooner prefer to get Quality or Heavy/Sharp and then throw the remainder of points into Int or Vit for more options either in spells or armor.

Just one doubt , I have an Uchiganata +10 with sharp stone infused , also Dex and luck ups...Currently playing N++.

It is supposed that my blade should cause bleeding but do not know if it is doing it or not , I mean when attacking an enemy after 4-5 strikes should I see the enemy bleeding , does it change color?? How do I know it is bleeding or not ?

Iam missing something , if that is the case please help...

It's amazing what a difference having a weapon you like the moveset of makes. I just killed Nameless King on my first try on my rapier character, where as on my first playthrough with a Claymore it took about 20 tries. This actually gives me confidence that I could do this boss SL1 because I think I only got hit once.

uninstalling the game. abyss watchers broke me. tried like 50 times, it's over.

edit: FUCK THIS GAME

edit2: some stats:

collected 48 red orbs from the knights in front (no dark sword thou)
used like 15 ember for summoning guys
lost maybe 30000 souls
and spent around 6 hours without beating them.

I died like 20 times to Pontiff because I was trying to use Artorias' Greatsword at the time.

When I switched back to my starting Battle Axe +6 I got him on my first try -_-

How can you dupe items...?

Since you can't trade covenant items. At least when I tried it with a friend it just didn't work.

covenant items can be duped? what the hell have I been doing the last 3 days.

Yeah so... I didn't know that :(

Holy shit. So I FINALLY finished grinding my ass off to get the covenant items for W
atch dogs of Farron. I thought it wasn't going to be anything that great, like a spell or anything. Nope Greatshield of Artorias! Considering I'm wearing his armour, and have his sword, it made me super gitty. I got his ring too, but a multiplier of 0 is still 0 so sadness :(
.

If you beat Tw
in princes
just stay outside the boss room. I got summoned after like 5 minutes of waiting, that place is pretty active if you're a high level, like 100-125ish

Most souls I lost was about 250k because I forgot that if you get summoned as a Red Phantom you still drop your souls where you die. O well, I'm SL 125 with maxed out gear so I don't care. It got to the pont where I had so many souls so I bought 610 branches, 699 titinite shards, 600 green blossoms, and a bunch of twinkling and titnite scales.

I'll give it a shot later today, hopefully I'll get summoned and get those ears. It's all I need to start NG+. I'd rather get this done and rush through those playthroughs for the missing rings/spells/etc.

Okay, who in here wants all the rings in the game for the Master of Ring trophy? I can give them all to you so you don't have to go to NG++ to get the platinum :)

Just ring (hah) me up for anyone want to have all the rings :) PS4 only, obviously.

What part of their moveset are you having trouble with, exactly? First or second phase?

i can dodge him pretty well but i cant transition my defence into offence. i dont know how. as soon as i start hitting him, i get punished and die. lvl 30 btw. 30 FUCKING hours into the game

i tried different weapons, armor, spells, bow, summoning dudes, nothing seems to be working out.

most effective way to beat the first half of the fight is running in circles and hope the third watcher kills him...

also I'm out of embers now, bought all of them already

Those are the purple covenant that might decide to attack you instead of doing Co-Op?

Yep! Keep in mind 1 very important thing about them: Their main goal is to kill you or X number of your summons. They can't enter the boss room with you. So keep that in mind.

Some of them, will be in a more co-op mood and will help you if you summon them. Plenty of time I would allow myself to be summoned as a purple and only help, and leave when they get to boss instead of trying to attack them.

Other times, I would help them until I saw a good opening. My best and funniest kills are when the host is unlocking a big ladder shortcut. I would get behind them (with Hornet ring on), backstab them. The force of the backstab pushed them off the ledge for almost always instant death. I laugh.

So in short, keep an eye on them. lol

Did you do Cathedral of the Deep first? You should be doing that before Farron's Keep anyway, it has an easier boss and you'll probably level up a bit too.

I'd suggest going there if you haven't yet.

Spent the weekend grinding out 30 Wolf's Blood Swordgrass and 10 Pale Tongues. Did it at level 26 and +1 weapons. It was pretty harsh.

I felt really bad killing a Blue Sentinel for the last two tongues because I'm still in the middle of grinding out Proofs of a Concord Kept (1 out of every 30 Silver Knights, my ASS).

Well, Sony support implied that the server carrying the PS4 patch is having issues so I have to contact Namco Bandai to resolve this. However, this feels like the guy didn't have an answer and wanted to pass the buck.

Can anyone confirm that they are able to, as of right now, download any patches? The PS4 says app 1.00 is the latest version.

I feel like that's the most frustrating episode yet. The robe thing, the elevator, forgetting about not just one but two closer bonfires, not even bothering to check behind him before the walk to the boss despite seeing the treasure. It's going to drive me mad lol. If you told someone this is a guy that worked on the guides for DS1, 2 and Bloodborne and has probably put like 1k hours into playing them, they would be right not to believe you

Too bad Kay is so slow and the Super Best Friends one isnt fun now that the dude grinded himself out of the next 2-3 zones

It's probably him being so excited to finish the game to see where the story goes I'm guessing. But yeah it's so weird to see that the guy who is so perceptive in most of his playtroughs is so oblivious to tons of stuff.

Same exact thing happened to me. Anri's Straight Sword is my favorite weapon in the game and I spent most of this playthrough using it, but over the last week I've been messing around with different builds. I tried beating N
ameless
K
ing
and S
oul
of C
inder
using a quality build, katana bleed build, dagger bleed build, and strength build, and failed miserably. I used my last rebirth to switch back to a build centered around Anri's Straight Sword, and I promptly beat both of the hardest bosses in the game. Comfort and confidence with a weapon makes a huge difference in battle.

I meant, put down your white summon sign, to get summoned into other worlds. Don't need to be embered for that

Yep, this is the best way to learn the game IMO. You lose nothing if you die, you receive souls and ember if you beat a boss, and best of all you get to engage in jolly cooperation and help people out.

Yeah the latest ENB ep wow. Goes into boss room with 150k souls, forgets the dragonslayer bonfire, the elevator bs, damn. I can understand missing a lot of stuff, but you should recognize the environment of the last boss you fought. But I agree with him, two princes is one of the best bosses in a Souls game
