No, you can pay to get loot boxes which you can also just get by just playing the game for roughly an hour, and those only contain cosmetics.

I love Overwatch, but I'll never spend a dime on lootboxes. It's not one of those games where you have to spend money on microtransactions to enjoy the game. They're all cosmetic stuff and you'll slowly earn them as you level up.

How, exactly, is he even speaking in a way that's hard to understand? Because his sentences are interspersed with "dog" and "bro"? All said, he speaks very clearly and enunciates really well. Which isn't surprising, given what he does.

It's not like COD of Battlefield where pretty much everyone is similar...

You'll actually be able to select a character based on what is currently happening in the game.

Yup really easy to pick up and play.

And I NEVER play competitive games. Or shooters for that matter.

Learning to aim has been a very interesting experience.

There's a class for every play style. Expect to die a lot but you will improve. It's really friendly all around.

It's one of the most accessible competitive shooters you'll ever play. Jump right in and have a great time.

If you don't like first person shooters you probably won't like Overwatch.

If you don't like playing against other people, chances are you won't like Overwatch.

If cartoony art directions offends you, Overwatch won't do it for you.

If you are upset by there being microtransactions for something you can also get in a matter of one hour of playtime, eh, you do you. It's not like they force them on you or that they give you anything of advantage, but if that offends you chances are you will hate Overwatch and most modern games since almost all of them do microtransaction far more severely and worse than Overwatch does.

After 3 or 4 games I already get tired of playing it, so there's no way I'd get addicted to it. Thankfully the games are fast so makes for a a great pickup game but I can't see myself playing this in the long run, especially not with BF1 in the horizon.

In my opinion this is due to the moba type community which is highly toxic, dudes thinking they're so great and know the game better than everyone trying to force others to take this character and do this and that.
Fucking gets on my nerves especially when they want you into a support role and then you check their profile and see they only play Mccree and the likes...

On the plus side the game is smooth and relatively bug free.
