New Zelda U/NX artwork + E3 plans

Skyward sword already did that.

The Miitomo promo art features two sets of Link hair. Hmm...

yo Link looks mighty feminine there

Agreed. I wonder if this is our first look at the female gender option.

Still no green clothes, not unwelcome but an interesting move for Nintendo. Maybe this game's addition to the lore will be the origin of the Hero's Tunic.

Unless Nintendo changed their mind about Skyward, that is the first story in the Zelda series, and Link is already wearing a green tunic there, so I don't know that it would otherwise make sense.

This sounds completely boring to me. I'll tune in for a quick look at Zelda, but I don't really want to see that much of it. I prefer to avoid trailers for games like that so I can just experience it fresh.

With the amount of green grass that features in the game, the blue clothing may actually make sense, just from being able to see your character. But who knows whether you will change clothes in the game.

Very nice art. Here's also some info from the file code:

Fantastic art!

I'm not interested in the Miitomo items but I am interested in the My Nintendo sale discount if it applies to Nintendo of Europe too.

Why am I suddenly attracted to Link? It's almost as if he's a girl in this pic. Silly me, that's impossible.

Art looks amazing as expected. I'm also certain of the option to play as female Link too. There's almost certainly not going to be any FMVs, so we also won't have though awkward first person FMVs that Fire Emblem Awakening and Fates have to avoid showing the playable character.

Not explicitly enough as far as I remember. If they wanted to they could pull another fake out and explain that the academy uniforms are based on this Link's clothes.

I'm happy with the explanation from SS (and I was happy with the ones from Minish Cap and OoT before that) but I'm trying to think of another reason they'd abandon the clothes.

I can think of 2 possible reasons:

1. This game is so far into the future of the Zelda timeline that the legend of the Hero is more or less forgotten, perhaps he finds the tunic later in the game in some ancient ruins?

2. This game is actually treated as a reboot of the series, sorta like a re-imagining of Zelda 1. Maybe there is no green tunic at all?

Why would you ever think there would be? FE games have had FMVs since the GC versions so they're nothing new for the series

I don't see any logical point in rebooting a series when you can just separate a game from the others by centuries and effectively have free reign to give it whatever story you want

I fucking hope it's not a reboot.

dunno why people freaked at Link being right handed today... past gameplay and artworks always hints (and shows) that he (or she i dunno) is right handed

As usual, that is some beautiful promotional artwork.

But with regards to this:

Nintendo eShop sale: Starting at 11 a.m. PT until 8:59 a.m. PT on June 21, Nintendo is offering discounts on some of its most popular games as a special treat for fans. My Nintendo members who are signed in will also get a special bonus if they buy select games included in the sale. Anyone who hasn’t signed up for My Nintendo yet is encouraged to do so now to avoid the E3 rush. To get the extra discount, My Nintendo members must link their Nintendo Account to their Nintendo Network ID and access Nintendo eShop on their device at least once before they make a purchase. The discounted games can be purchased in Nintendo eShop or at http://e3.nintendo.com. Details about the discounts can also be found at http://e3.nintendo.com.

What exactly does it mean for earning a "special bonus"? So far, they haven't exactly offered anything special on My Nintendo, so this is incredibly disconcerting.

You know I think this art may be even more evidence of a female Link in this game. I can just see it now...

The treehouse starts, Reggie's there and says "Now some of you may have seen some new artwork of Link on Epona. Did you guys notice anything unusual about it? No? Let's look a little closer shall we? *zooms in, enhances, Reggie's lip moistens* That's right. This time... Link... is a girl. *cue trailer*

The Miitomo promo art features two sets of Link hair. Hmm...

CkbV-xQWUAASg8Y.jpg

The one with the hat is definitely Twilight Princess Link's hair, the other I think is the new Link's hair. Would fit quite well with both male/female Mii's. Coincidence?

My most anticipated thing at E3 might be this game's subtitle, now that I think about it.

At this point I feel like there's a 50/50 shot the game is just called 'The Legend of Zelda'. They've only ever called it that, never hinted that they might reveal a longer name. It'd be crazy, but this is the company that released 'Super Smash Bros. for Wii U'.
