If Pope Geoff is truly hyped then this will definitely be an E3 to remember! I can imagine the amount of work and effort going into this each year so it's always super appreciated!

Edit: Holy shit reading the replies... Such pessimism what the heck?

:(

His YouTube show was the best way to watch E3 last year by a mile. It is definitely going to be my focus again this year.

Geoff's pre-show excitement is always solid. It's his post show musings when the hype man has gone home that are worth listening to.

It's hard to say if he's just hyping it up or if he really believes its the best.

If PS4k and Scorpion are there, as well as some new game announcements that we've not heard of yet, then there is a chance it could be good.

It will be hard to top last year, though.

Typical stuff from Geoff. I like the guy and his E3 coverage is good, but he will always hype an event he is covering. That said, leakers have been saying similar things so who knows.

Announcing games that will actually release some time soon would be a good start.

But TLG is still scheduled to come out this year.

Nothing in there says it'll be the best E3. He's just saying his own YouTube Gaming show will be the best one so far. Very different message.

Topping FF7, TLG, and Shenmue could only be done by HL3, L4D3, a new Command and Conquer, and a new Twisted Metal, for me personally.

I love Geoff, but he does overhype almost everything. Although the same goes for just about everyone in this industry.

I still remember he hyped something big in 2011's VGAs.

We got The Last of Us.

If you think about it, every time that he hypes something that he is excited about.

Something does come out like Last of Us to No Man's Sky. So he does kinda deliver with his hype, HYPE!

Final Fantasy VII: Remake isn't there, so you're already down one. Horizon got a delay and we saw the new trailer--that's two. You've got to overcome this before there's even a shot at beating out last year's E3.

I love his hype! I'm ready for some great announcements and merriment on Monday. Without Nintendo truly there it'll never feel the same, but I'm ready for greatness!

For some reason I also think this will be best E3 so far and one to remember for years to come...
baut maybe it's just me.

how are they supposed to make the new horizon game have kudos, remaster RalliSport Challenge 2 and Re-Volt, and for good measure make "E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy but with an AAA budget." I suppose you could throw in Orange Box 2 surprise launching as well.

He's very infectious and it's great to see. This years event DOES seem ...more hype than usual what with all the console chat, but I think there's no doubt some megaton game announcements about to hit, and clearly nothing has leaked as so what they might be...

Damn I hope we see new hardware from Sony, and hopefully MS.

I know good games are coming, but hardware is what makes E3 for me.

I mean...I'm looking forward to the new hardware revisions too in a sense.

PS4 can't possibly top last year with just Crash can it? :p

Whether or not it is, aren't you lot a bit silly for reading into this mans hype?

He is like a journalist shinobi602. He is excited and hype about nearly everything (no offense intended)

Sour puss. I bet that if they announced "FF7 will release tomorrow" there would still be a vocal minority who would lambast them for not releasing it today.

Sony did the best E3 of any company ever in the history of E3. That anyone would want to diminish that is beyond me. Sure, I'd like to see them try to top that this year. It's not like they have very strong competition going in. Both Microsoft and Nintendo are low odds contenders.
No releasing it tomorrow would actually be pretty dope. Much better than the current "In the year 20XX" state of affairs :p

Yeah can't see it. What can even beat FF7-Remake, last guardian and Shenmue 3 being (re-)revealed.
Metal Gear Rising 2 is something that would kill at E3 for me, but can't see it :( At least in the form I want.
We also don't have Nintendo announcing anything, so already 33% less hype and no hope of a new metroid being announced.
