How about some context for that DOOM vs OVERWATCH thing ?

"Doom ranked second for May 2016 sales on a unit basis and had the best first month of sales for any game in the franchise when combining sales across platforms — exceeding sales of Doom 3’s launch on the PC in August 2004,” said Callahan. “Overwatch was the third best-selling game for May with only a few days on the market. When comparing Overwatch sales for days in the market, this title doubled the sales of Doom.”

It'll be interesting to see to what extent neo and scorpio affect the sales of the current base models. At this rate I wonder if they will count as upgrades or new consoles entirely.

If it's late 2017 that's a bad thing to focus on this far away...unless they just don't care about xb1 sales

I imagine it'd have to be shipped. US makes up 60%+ of XB1 sales so in order for it to be sold through, US Halo 5 sales should be around 3 million. Is it even at 2 million atm?

Hey, guys, just woke up. What did I miss? Apparently, without bundles and digital, Uncharted 4 didn't break 1 million?

Ha called it Uncharted would win. Overwatch was vastly over estimated by some at least at retail. Battleborn not such big bomb.

I honestly think they are going to start branding themselves away from the Xbox one. You see it UWP. I think they'll touch on scorpio. Xbox One is still toxic and I'm sure it's just not doing what they wanted it to do. It seems to have been a huge misstep on all levels.

Gears of War 4 is pretty much going to be the last big console exclusive for the Xbox One so I would wait to see how that does before making conclusions.

Right, but it performed better than UC3. So, 700K<UC4<1M. Cosmic said UC4 isn't close to UC3 so I guess it is leaning closer to 1M.

Also, Wii U + X1 < 130K.

PS4 is between 200-213K.

I was totally sure Overwatch was going to be #1 considering it's a multiplatform title. So impressive UC4 managed to reach #1 as a PS4 exclusive. PS4 is unstoppable. Almost PS2 levels of success already, if not more! Props to MS as well.

And Nintendo... They probably sold like 2k Wii Us. Has Nintendo ever been this low in terms of, well, everything, ever??? I seriously cannot remember.

Wich is good IMHO. So salty being a Wii U only owner and see how all consoles got amazing games in May while Wii U got absolutely nothing. And the worse is that it's going to be like this until... well, until NX releases. Wii U is beyond done and I'm so frustrated as a Wii U owner for that.

Sony will still count it as a PS4. The software will still be PS4. It is about ecosystem now.

More than likely the same for MSFT. Software will still be labeled PS4 on the box, with maybe an, 'Enhanced on PS4K' or the like.

They are in the same x86/64 ecosystem, with better pricing on the smaller process, which would have been more expensive to stick to the old fab. The power upgrade is all a bonus and working out to their ecosystem model from the beginning. Another reason both went with AMD tech.

Yep, I'm leaning more towards Uncharted 4 being around 900K or more. Also, XB1 selling less than 110K is shocking. Expected a 70K gap at most.

Looks like this is the second worst month ever for XBO. (Only May 2014 was worse with 77,000, that's because was the pre pricedrop month).

It's also the worst month ever for Wii U.


...Yeah, lucky for us we have PS4.
