Sell all the skins and graphics you want. Make content free and people will spend more in the end for sure.

EA actually caught on to this early with ME3's multiplayer, so it's not really surprising that they'd try it again.

I'd like more details but this sounds good to me. I'm glad to see games moving away from map packs, ideally they'd have NO gameplay-related microtransaction stuff but not every game can be Dota 2 or Overwatch.

Not interested in the game but this is fantastic news! Exactly the way DLC should be handled -- stuff effecting gameplay should be free updates and make some extra cash on cosmetics.

This is truly the best way to keep the community together. Also, it's a great way for me to buy Titanfall over Battlefield and have peace of mind knowing I am buying a game that I dont have to constantly pay to keep up with

If it's cosmetic, why does it matter?

They'll likely get more money by the slot machine method, and I dont mind that at all. If it makes up for free maps, then I'm all for it.

As long as you cant buy burn cards directly 0-fucks given! Give me all the maps modes free and i'll be happy as hell. Let those who want shiny things pay for our DLC. Keeping the population together is about the best thing you can do in a online shooter to maximize its longevity.

And here I thought COD MW2/MW3 supplanting the Mechwarrior games was bad. TF2 is still actively played and talked about. Can we please for the love of god find a better acronym for Titanfall 2.

I'm fine with Battlepacks/supply drops/whatever as long as it is only cosmetic or even like an xp booster. This is why I hate COD. They put the best guns behind the drops and you can spend thousands of dollars and not get them. Activision just ruined it all for me with that franchise.

The way Battlefield 4 did it is fine and I'm fine with EA selling all unlocks for $20 or whatever they charged. Easy money for them without screwing me.

As someone who watched the playerbase of Titanfall completely tank on PC after the first map pack hit, this is really good news for the longevity of the game.

I was just not going to pick it up for fear of that happening again, but good to see I can leave it on my radar.

Very nice. Interesting the difference between deluxe and standard too, deluxe gets you

6 exclusive warpaints
6 exclusive nose arts
2 camos
exclusive call sign

none of those seem worth an extra $20... didn't the original Titanfall come with an extra mech or something if you preordered or went with deluxe?
