Breath of the Wild is the official subtitle for Zelda U/NX, first gameplay trailer

Enemies sleep at night. There are bombs, square bombs, a magnet item. Magnesis. Whatever the heck it is.

I like the ore collection also. Reminds me of Harvest Moon and I like how subtle it is as an interactive object.

Did this trailer confirm it has actual voice acting or it's normal to have it only for Zelda trailers? It'd be interesting to see Zelda talking.

how much of this game have you seen? were you watching the stream, or just the trailer?

i'm at a loss as to how you could consider this a bad looking game.

I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest we might be seeing the last desperation attempts for this company to hang with the rest of the industry and falling short, a lot like we did in the early 2000s with Sega. The wii/ds pushed that deadline back about 10 years for nintendo but its inevitable, I think.

IMO they should be moving to pc and mobile and would have a lot better chances.

Sorry but I find hugely underwhelming. And those plain texture, empty worlds and jaggy edges reminds me of PS3/X360 era.

I loved the showing, makes me want to play so bad.

I just hope they make the colors more vibrant and not so washed out.

Can't watch the stream, but I have some questions:

-does Link talk?
-can we play as female Link?
-what is different about the NX version?
-what is the release date (or window)?

I am sooo in on this game and depending on release dates it looks like one i'll double dip on when i get an NX. This exploration stream is neat can't wait to see what a few more months polishing will produce.

The more i hear and see the more impatient i get :)

Ohh, and now using the Stone to survey enemies. Awesome.

Temperature getting dangerously low. Crazy. Gear up or otherwise warm yourself, clothing apparently isn't the only way you can do it.

Love the idea of downpours putting out enemy fires.

Yeeeees

The real key here is a serene atmosphere - an underrated aspect to the best Zelda games - but with character, life, surprises, bosses out in the wild (?) - and a new magical skill that's dynamic and all about shaping the world around you.

Gorgeous style

I agree. The atmosphere is actually a big part of why this trailer has me excited for the game.

This game is crazy. I've never played any Witcher titles or Elder Scrolls games so this should be a pretty cool introduction to an open world game.

I see a lot of people complaining about the world being empty.

It's the wild. It's not supposed to be GTA or Assassin's Creed with icons littering the map. Shadow of the Colossus had NO enemies or shit to do between bosses except solving the environment itself to reach them and that game was celebrated. It's basically Zelda+Shadow of the Colossus (with bits of environmental manipulation, and even gliding).

I'm pumped for this game.

SotC didn't come out in 2017. SotC's world was amazing for its time, the vast scaleness of it all was breath taking. Now its normal and we expect more out of it decade later.
