Citation needed. The stock market isn't the economy. Its even more divorced from the economy most people participate in.

How do you think stocks are valued? And what do you think he link between that and the U.K. as a prosperous economy is?

At least Scotland didn't have their head up their ass. Hopefully they get out of the UK over this and can get back into the EU.

Fucking mental, seriously.

I haven't been following this.

Why is everyone branding people who vote leave as bigots and racists? What's up with that?

I genuinely don't know the positives and negatives of both options.

Most of those leading the charge on the Leave vote were doing so largely for nationalistic reasons.

This is one of the most famous of UKIP ads.

Let's see if you can glean the focus of these ads. Does that go everyone person who voted for it? No. But the very heads of the movement? Oh yeah.

Why the hell do people keep bringing Trump's chances into this? There's a list that stretches a mile long why there's no comparison here other than "lol racism."

I guess since the Brexit was also seem as something beyond possibility due to the obvious negative outcome. Stupidity CAN prevail. Fortunately the US general election isn't as close as this vote was... Yet.

Trying to catch a falling knife is almost never a wise investment, doing it on currencies is even less so, and doing it on something that is driven by uncharted political actions is really risky if you ask me.

I know a lot of people who got rich of the USD 25% drop in 2003.

asked in the other thread, just in case;

I know shit about economics...so...

Will this affect the CAD dollar in any way? We are already hurting here with our fucked currency

In the brief moment that I saw the graphics on xe.com (coz it's down over the sheer volume of people trying to see the exchange rate), our dollar has been buttfucked by this decision. We lost ~2¢ vs. US$ when I saw it. FFS. When it was slowly recovering from the Fort McMurray drop...

"Democracy sucks because I didn't get my way"?

That is literally what you wrote.

I'm not British.

And do tell what's a good thing about leaving the UK. I mean, the pound has dropped so much already.

Or....despite seeing the pound drop so far....despite fearmongering taking control of the people, do you really think Leave is such a good thing? Sometimes people shouldn't have a choice in bringing about an outcome that is only negative for their country.

The currency tanking is actually good news especially if it loses more in another 2 hours. Having everyone realize how serious the vote was for their economy could be helpful sober proof in nullifying the result.

It's the same bullshit in every country. Old people fucking the next generations over. Taking decisions that WE will have to live with for decades while they only have a few years left on this earth.

Fuck man democracy is the best political system we have but shit like this is infuriating. Old people fucking scared of every bit of change who want shit to always remain the same and can't fucking understand that the world is moving fast and you have to adapt or die.
