I read about this on Friday when the news first came out. She was in a coma at that point; I was really holding out hope, but in the end it turned out her life couldn't be saved.

Such a tragic thing. Rest in peace.

Damn, RIP.

I don't remember where I heard it, but someone said that, if you are caught in this and still conscious, spit and watch where your saliva goes, and that is down. Then dig in the opposite direction.

I was literally just thinking this. Try to use gravity to figure out which way to go...but honestly I'm not sure in that situation if I could even think to do something like that at the time. Regardless terrible news. RIP. :(

Wow RIP. That's so crazy.

Damn, RIP. Hope this wasn't due to negligence on the part of Ubisoft and it was a freak accident.

I feel fairly confident in saying this was a freak accident. In addition to giving my condolences to her family my thoughts go out to the Steep dev team. Despite this being no ones fault the people on that dev team probably aren't feeling great about the game they're making right about now. Keep up the good work guys! Put out something great in her honor and in honor of the sport she loved.

RIP. That is sad news.

Ubisoft killed someone. now they're definitely the worst gaming company

Well indirectly. If Ubisoft did not hire athletes to do that specific promotional film shoot then she would still be alive.
I assume the athletes knew of the risks involved with the profession but it is still a tragic outcome for something that is essentially completely unnecessary for making the game.

It is sort of like how Owen Hart died in a freak accident because Vince McMahon wanted him to do a dramatic entrance coming down from the ceiling of the arena on a harness cord.

Both were completely unnecessary risks to take.
