Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 announced for PS4, XB1 and PC

I have zero doubts that this will release at $60.

Its Activision....

That, and the Marvel IP is scorching right now because of the MCU. I can't see it being less than $50, but wouldn't be surprised at the least if they go the full distance at $60.

What's all this talk about the second game not being good? I've never played the second one apart from the first level (IQ was atrocious to me so I decided to wait for an HD release) but I had a blast with the first game.

What are the chances we get an Ultimate Alliance 3 if this does well enough? Seems like a possibility in my mind considering Marvel's fresh new perspective on their games division.

Trust me, it'd be better if Activision waits it out. I don't want to see the shit-storm what would occur.

Aww sweet. First one's included. Guess I'll grab it when it's on sale one day.

Man, it feels so good to see the box art again. Especially with Spidey at the center like that.

Now give us some Spider-Man PS4 news, please.

They said Spiderman PS4 will be at PSX so doubtful that we see anything here.

$60 for both comes out to $30 each which is more than fair IMO.

I would pay even more for X-Men Legends 1+2

People will complain about the price but it is what it is because many people will be more than happy to pay it. They know what they're doing.

Nice. I remember really liking the first one on the original Xbox, but I never got to play the second one, because it had become extremely rare around here by the time I bought 360.

I'll gladly revisit MUA1 and play through MUA2.

But is marvel considered a risk? Seems like a safer choice now than ever. Certainly more than in 2011.
I think it'd be the renewal fee more than anything else. I mean, Disney may have lowered the price due to recent events, but it's likely still not cheap.

Horribly overpriced, especially for MUA1, but that's Activision for ya. I don't think there's a stingier publisher out there when it comes to digital pricing.

Based on what? The entire ps3 Uncharted series was $60 at launch( 3 games), Halo MC collection was $60 at launch( 4 games). Gravity Rush remastered was $29. Even look at some single ports like Resident Evil 5 and 6, both came out at $20. I mean, I understand that some of these scenarios aren't apples to apples and companies can charge as much as they can get away with, but compared to other examples it just seems high to me.

Definitely buying for PC day one (at least for the first one, didn't hear great things about the second one).

But I do wish they could have released the PSP version on PSN and made it Vita compatible. I love playing those games on handhelds, and even emulating my copy on my Nvidia Shield Portable has some cutscene bugs, so its not ideal to play there. :(

They are available individually.
PSP port was trash though. Tons of bugs.

Does anyone know roughly what the renewal fee is? Or how many sales a $40 or $60 game would need to sell to see a return on the investment? Just curious.

Still have my PS3 copy of the first game. Never played the second one and would love to replay the first game. Might get the bundle day 1. Not sure tho.

I'd also like to know this. I've been hunting for specific numbers for years, but I've come up with no clues as of now.

I asked during the Marvel Live interview with Bill Rosemann and Mike Jones (high-ups in Marvel Games) if the DLC characters/missions would be included, and it didn't seem as if they knew for sure, although Mike said it is the base versions.

How were these? I remember nearly forking out some cash for them a few months ago.

MUA1 was a really solid top down action brawler, the characters felt really unique for the most part (some were a little samey, but hey, with a roster of like 30 characters that's to be expected). All the areas were cool and there was some awesome ass bosses too. You had stuff like Atlantis and Skrullos as stages, it was pretty badass.

MUA2 was based on the Civil War comics, and was a lot more lackluster than the first one. The characters felt mostly samey (there was like... two or maybe three "classes" and every hero in each "class" had the same kind of powers), the levels were less diverse and the bosses were mostly characters you also could recruit, with some exceptions. I thought it was a massive step down from the original, although it was still okay.

LOL. Not just the PSP port. All the games were glitch fests. In UA1 you can fight the robot in Arcade's world and it'll just spin in circles if you go behind it. Multiple times in both games I got cameras stuck on walls in other rooms or had characters stuck hovering in the air on ledges, or walls that weren't there, and in general weird AI was rampant like that quick dude in Valhalla running around like mad during conversations and slamming into shit and getting stuck running into walls.

Games were fun in spite of it, but be honest folks these titles were never perfect. I'm hoping they receive more than just a port and had some more QA work put in this time.

These games are good, not great, and very old. Doesn't sound like we can expect too many enhancements either. So, not a chance at that price. I'll take the risk they'll lose the license again before I can buy it and hold out for a sale.

edit: and we don't even have any confirmation of DLC being included? Give me a break Activision.
