If Br*ck goes last, Orton's having the most historic win of the year in a way that cripples Br*ck. That's the only way that match is justified going last

I mean, if you consider SD's main event players to be Orton, Cena, Ambrose and Styles, Raw basically has Lesnar, Rollins, Reigns and Finn Balor, which is a shakier list imo.

Raw at least has upper mid-card people like Zayn, Jericho, and Owens who can easily main event those B tier PPVs.

I also think the women will main event a Raw B tier PPV at some point.

Rollins/Finn with a New York crowd is going to be hot as hell and the outcome is up in the air. I don't think another Suplex City spam session is main event worthy.

Ambrose/Cena/Styles would definitely be main event quality as well.

Roman too. And I can easily see the likes of Owens, Zayn, and even Rusev/Cesaro going for the strap. Who does SD have?

They made fun of Axel and called him Mr. Irrelevant despite the fact he wasn't even actually the last pick, which was Carmella.

I'm pretty sure Reigns counts as Roman lol

SD's midcard is pretty garbage, but if you add Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe onto their roster it starts looking pretty damn good imo.

Yeah, the upper mid-card scene on SD is Del Rio, Corbin, Ziggler and Wyatt which is just

Rollins vs Finn is going to be hot shit.

I almost guarandamntee Finn is winning the belt.

I would be exceptionally surprised to see a dude who doesn't look like Brock Lesnar go from "not on the roster" to "the world champion" in 25 days. Then again, putting Finn Balor in the title match at SummerSlam despite not being on the roster 7 days ago is already pretty eyebrow raising.

And even if you keep it narrowed to the top 4, I think even being optimistic nobody expects Orton or Styles to still be around in 2020. Cena wouldn't be that surprising. Barring something catastrophic in terms of injury luck, Brock's the only one from the Raw side who won't still be in the company by then. In terms of big names who will also be around for a while, Raw is easily number one, and in terms of future talent (thanks to stuff like the cruiserweight division) they're also easily number one.

I don't think SmackDown the television program will be around in 2020

He was Raw's last pick. Carmella is Smackdown's Miss Irrelevant.

Mr. Irrelevant is the last person picked in a draft, not the last person for each team/brand.

I know right? When was the last time they put a rocket on someone like that?

I really expected them to go to the well again with Roman vs Rollins at Summerslam, but no they went with Balor. At this point, you have to go all in, right? At least give Balor the ball and let him run with it.

I can't see Finn being the champ this soon but I also can't see the Demon bullshit not going over in it's main roster debut.

Botched it.
Well, you see. There is no Samoa Joe or Nakamura. They decided Mojo was more ready for the main roster than the veta in NXT.

I could see Seth and Finn having a close match where it can go either way, then the club interferes and helps Finn get the W. He won't be happy about it and then probably get his ass kicked by them on raw.

Oh jesus Corbin is upper midcard now

Smackdown gonna have work real hard

This is the biggest push for proving that all the money spent on the PC, indie contracts and NXT is worth it. Finn is the most recognizable (in their eyes) product of that system and HHH is going to do his darndest to prove to everyone that he can pick and make the stars now. It's a gigantic political power play and will probably shape the company for years to come.

I mean Finn's fine but don't tell me that a sub 6" 190 pound lad from Wicklow would be getting this push all on his own merits.

The funniest thing they could do is drop Shinsuke Nakamura on Raw.

Finn Balor is 190 pounds in the same fantasy universe where AJ Styles is 218.

This is why they need to go with Rollins joining and leading the Club on Raw. There's no need for Finn to be champ this soon and you protect the "Demon" gimmick in the process. Make it happen!

Catching up on G1.

Tenzan/Ishii was brutal. Great opener for the tournament...I just hope Tenzan can hold up through the whole thing.

Tama Tonga's new gear is something else...

Wrestlers I could see in a championship match for either brand this year: (especially with the brand specific ppvs).

Raw
Rollins
Reigns
Jericho
Strongman
Sheamus
Zayn
Owens
Rusev
Cesaro
Finn

SD
Styles
Wyatt
Ambrose
Ziggler
Cena
Kane (lol)
The Miz
Orton
Del Rio (if he shows back up)
Corbin (double lol)

Don't forget they're talking to other people to come back too that they could hypothetically squeeze in there.

Yeah, Finn is too valuable as a face to have him go heel. Even if him going heel would likely be far more entertaining.

I'm not gonna lie, Strowman looked the best I have ever seen him last night.

He was impressive.

I love that they brought back jobbers.

If Finn could have just one fucking unique move to when he's the Demon then I'll take him still doing that shtick. It's my real issue with him, the fact he doesn't change anything about the way he fights when the Demon is supposedly some big power-up.

Excellent opening 4 way with a great outcome, a jobber match to build a monster heel...I am genuinely shocked that they are actually piecing together a good show.

The draft felt like a joke but I guess they were serious about changing things up. I wonder who was in charge of most of the changes to RAW.
