Evo is the one will the best training/tutorial modes in any fighting game ever made, plus, it's already fully localized.

Remember... Always remember -

1) VF4 Evo on the Naomi 2 board and VF4 Evo on the PS2 are completely different. You need to be clear in your mind what version of VF4 Evo (or any VF4) you want. We ALL want VF4 Naomi 2 version, not the PS2 version.

2) Training mode is a feature that includes text and dialog. As that is a command feature, that can easily be adapted into the arcade version of VF4 Evo & Final Tuned unless is it a strict emulation of the actual arcade game.

3) Localised version would mean that you want the PS2 version. We don't want that. We want the Arcade version and they, the programmers, can used the localised text from the PS2 version and incorporate it into the arcade version to save cost.

Now, to simplify everything, I will let you know this -

* The BEST version of VF4 really IS Final Tuned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsgYaaLJIiQ / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02kcU0Hy7Sc

* What made VF4 Evo spectacular on the PS2 wasn't just the Training mode, it was also the Quest modem that is "far more" difficult and less skeleton than VF5's quest mode. So, yes, we want Training mode and Quest mode.

* As the coding is already all in their (SEGA) pocession, it wouldn't be an issue for them to provide the ultimate VF4 package which would be VF4, Evo and Final Tuned complete with their intros and much much more.

* Stronger net code together with server provision and, just like the PCs (assuming it also come on consoles), a server listing showcasing how many people are in each room and in each server. This is a "if its not broken do not fix it" feature in all PC games such as Quake and Battlefield, we just need the exact same thing for VF. This is why VF2 online aspect is a ghost-town, it's because we have no idea where everyone as the game provide no visibility:

* Wishlist - adopt VF5's VF.Net (VF TV). No point leaving all those content offline, give them all to us! No one outside of Japan have truly experienced this and thanks to Youtube, faster net connections and so on, there is now great workarounds to provide this to us and so much more.

I hope this post helps you understand on what we want.

Cock Strain, Lifetime Warranty
I get to play VF4FT in NYC this weekend ^__^
shame we've gotten to a point where being able to play a game is remarkable... c'mon SEGA, make this readily available!

Context for people who don't know: Little Stone handled the Valkyria Chronicles PC port. Thanks for pointing that out, good to know they seem to be working on another port.

It's wrong though. The updates here weren't specific to the app. So it wasn't worked on for months.

At this point I lost faith with Sega.... They won't ever port these type of games..

It seems that if is not Sonic related, they refuse (or Bandai is not allowing them) to work on them..

Yup I'm sure they're only going to focus on Sonic stuff now.

Really it's too bad I can't really find the sales from when these games just released. Iirc Lost World sold terribly near launch, the 100k number comes from all the times it was on sale and in bundles. Looking at the players number, the majority of the people who bought the game haven't even played it.

I believe Lost World's numbers were around 12,000 first month.

Valkyria was easily 300k first month.

Sonic Lost World deserved better. It's a damn fine game. It could have been better but it's still decent. Hopefully Valkyria Chronicles amazing success encourages Sega to port more games.

Don't have an actual source other than my chat logs when I was snooping around SteamSpy on March, but the sales were around 15k IIRC.

They were so bad to the point I was really relieved to see PC confirmed for Mania and Project 2017. I mean, I wouldn't encourage people to buy it anyway, but I was worried Sega would get the wrong message.

Those Lost World sales are abysmal and much lower than I would have expected. Guess the game's so-so reputation really killed any interest there.

Hope it doesn't negatively affect Sega's future plans moving forward. Would love to see more releases on PC.

Pretty sure it won't.
Mind you I'm still waiting for a Mod to change the game up into something...well more fun to play.

Sega Europe just talked a bit about PC ports on a live stream. They have a "whole list of titles they'll have to give the PC port treatment" and are currently working on some projects that they'll be able to talk about soon. Reason they're taking so long is because they want to make sure quality is retained and that the game is optimized for PC.

They also said they won't be able to port all of the games that people are asking for, but are working very hard to give us "at least some of the things [we've] been asking for".

Great news - do we have any clear indication of a timeframe for when they will be able to talk about it?

Times I wonder if they need any more staff....

They're taking way too long :(
I imagine there will be another game in November, as they have released one PC port that month over the past 3 years. Looking at Lost World it was announced a month before release.

That's good, especially if it's like the Valkyria Chronicles port.
