Agreed. But honestly, I still dislike the fact that Jin and Sun died. They should have been on that plane and they simply should have given Sayid a far more dramatic death in their place.

This is probably true. It ultimately doesn't matter who lived and died... it could have been any combination of characters running to that plane. The only thing that really mattered was:

1) Jack stays and sacrifices himself
2) Some characters escape on the plane
3) Someone takes Jack's place

With that in mind, it's a little strange to see people like Claire make it off, but not Jin and Sun. Them living would have giving the episode enough space to give Sayeed's sacrifice/redemption the gravitas it deserved, as well.

Now I wish we had gotten the original Exposé episode, the plan was to have an entire episode devoted to flashbacks for Nikki, only to reveal at the end of the episode that the flashbacks were all just part of the TV show. But I would only have wanted this if we also got the fun twisty episode that we ended up getting.

Considering she was mentally unstable, and her friends which one of them is her half brother tried to ditch her on the island, she was pretty cool.
Plus, Claire was really important to Kate's arc and redemption the last 2 seasons.

Yeah, I wasn't really expecting that. And a lot of my death predictions (actually, all of them) turned out to be untrue. I figured Richard would die and reunite with his woman, Sawyer would do some big sacrifice, and Ben would be killed. Oh well!:D

I mean nope because you're wrong.

Jacob and MIB were there in 23 AD.

The Egyptians were there long before that.

(EDIT)

Where do you think the board game came from? the mother didn't give it to him, he found it and she claimed she gave it to him so he wouldn't become suspicious.

The ancient Egyptian civilzation still exited then, and so did the cult of their Gods. The board game could've come from the people that were already there...who knows dude, I don't think that's enough evidence. It is pretty clear that no temples or edifications existed during Across the Sea.

It just didn't sit well with me. It was brilliantly shot and acted but poorly written. It overshadowed Sayid's death, which they in turn could have made bigger. Or at least not both of them. Knowing that at least Jin would be able to see his child would have made the ending even better.

Where the island is doesn't matter. Where it came from doesn't matter.

As I often say here the big lie is easier to believe than the little one. So it's the little things that seem off that bother me most; things that people here have been saying don't matter or "who cares".

I disagree, Sun and Jin's death specifically made the audience, not to mention the characters, want to take down MIB. Even though, yes, he was sympathetic.

Sayid was still sort of a zombie, his death wouldn't have spurred the Losties like Sun and Jin.

I'd rather it be all or none. The moment she got pinned I thought, "They're both dying." When Jin started to consider leaving her, I thought it would have been very out of character.

It works for me, because Jack is always saving Kate. Kate saved him when it mattered most.

and Holy shit, Juliet had a different named in the X world! She never married that Burke douche who got hit by the bus. then again, I may just be misinterpeting the whole name thing and he real name was Burke.

I just assumed that Burke was the name of her ex and she'd never gotten it changed back, and what we heard in The End was her real maiden name.

Matthew Fox deserves an Emmy for what he did this last episode. He isn't the best actor on the show but they put the entire weight of the finale on his shoulders and he fucking delivered. Its the best he has ever been, it's some of the best acting I have seen from the entire series. Bravo to Matthew Fox.

He won't win one. He'd be lucky to even get a nom, since Im guessing he'd put in for Lead. Terry and Michael in Supporting though? One if not both will get noms.

Plus the heroglyphs oatmeal mentioned were carved above the wheel...whic was built by MIB before the Egyptians came.

Im start to wonder how much they really did cut or change. I mean, Ive already mentioned that Walt was supposed to show, and didnt (because I honestly dont believe the 0.5 second clip he got in Locke's flash is what Lindelcuse meant), and I just recalled an interview with DDK where he intimated that Ji Yeon would have an important role in the finale.

I think Ji Yeon awakening both Jin and Sun was a pretty big moment, yea. I do agree on the Walt thing, tho. There was definitely something missing there.

If Sayid's story in season 6 wasn't terribly done, it would have. Of course it was, so yeah it may not have had the same impact. Though really, just finding out that he slipped a bomb onto the sub with them was enough for the characters and audience to want MIB dead. Sayid dying on top of that pretty much seals the deal.

Maybe, if he had done it on his own. But Sun not at least mentioning their daughter as a reason for him to leave was very awkward and out of character for her. It bothered me and there were a lot of people in the GAF thread mentioning it as well. One of the guys on Opie & Anthony said he thought they were selfish for not even bringin Ji Yeon up.

Just a simple mention would have made it sit with me a lot better than it did.

There are pictures out there of Walt filming for the episode. I assume it will be one of those DVD extras but that's really something that should have been in the episode.

Eh, they talked about in the exact same episode. When Sun was begging Jin to leave, they both had Ji Yeon on their mind. He decided to stay anyway.

I wonder what happened to Keamy and Mikhail after they died in Purgatory...
I like to think they were sent back to "ghost status" for what they had done. They still needed to atone for their actions. they only were allowed to exist as obstacles for these people to get over.

Eh, I'd rather not have shitty Walt mess up the fun. Any time spent on him, or him having a flash would've sucked.

He can stay on those extras that will never be aired thank you.

Wha?

The plug had the egyptian characters on it when Jack/Desmond had their fun with it.

No one went into the cave during Jacob's reign except those two. Had to have happened before.

Yeah I hope so because otherwise it would mean their souls have been destroyed or that they have been sent into some kind of Hell...

Those flash sideways remind me of Grim Fandango(a very good point and click set in the Land of the Dead )
