2016 PC Screenshot Thread of No Compromises

Sometimes I kind of roll my eyes at how, well, "bullshoty" and unrepresentative some of the shots are. And then I see this and I can't help but smile:

Looks like a classic painting or post card or something. Really gorgeous. Yeah, there's a place for both showing real gameplay and artsy stuff. ^^

Thanks, it's just reshade and then a sepia fiilter applied through FastStone but that's it, no other additives ;).

I love it!

Thanks.

Free cam too, no? Anyway, it's clearly not a representative/gameplay shot, is what I meant, which I'd like to see more of from time to time, but it doesn't mean I don't enjoy the exceptionally beautiful artistic shots too. :)

I always grin when someone like Anthemios just dumps twenty, thirty or even more shots on his Flickr with reckless abandon, often leaving some of the best shots hidden way past the point where most people would care to look.

Present company excepted midras ;) there is no finer screenarcher anywhere imho. His work on Skyrim was an eye opener for sure and he really has raised his game since those days.

Deus Ex MD

(That's at my normal gameplay settings by the way. Excellent looking game IMHO once you disable the sharpening)

The main problem i have with the game is the grain, i still need to find how to reduce or eliminate it, the weird thing is that only happen sometimes, i think is realted to the volumetric light, anyway i can take shots on a sand storm like this one and problem solved xD

Different light, same spot, same conditions = different grain

Is ReShade working for anybody with DX MD? It applies all the shaders but won't capture higher resolutions than native. Even Dxtory only captures native res while ReShade is on. Without it it gets whatever res I downsample to. It doesn't matter whether 1.1 or 2.x.

What if you set your desktop resolution to the same one that you're downsampling from in the game?

That resolved it, thanks!
I actually remember Fallout 4 having the same problem at launch as well.

The strange thing now is that taking screenshots through the framework itself makes the image too bloomy and overexposed (right pic) with shaders on. Whereas taking it through Dxtory (left pic) captures it just like it is supposed to be. Tried this with 2.x.
Also, the game hotsamples! But of course crashes at the moment ReShade tries to apply them shaders.
Can't do more testing until later today. Will try the same with 1.1 both with regards to hotsampling and that overexposed problem (the latter can be overcome by using dxtory though, as mentioned).

It's some kind of bug with capturing that Bloom from Ganossa shaders. The rest work fine but I noticed that the depth buffer fails as soon as you get near the square AR.
Also ReShade (2.0.3) compiles fine here. It does crash randomly when tweaking but not often. I had to set it to d3d11.dll. dxgi just fails to run the game for me.

I'm using Marty's MXAO and it looks much better than that thin, outline looking native AO IMO but ofc it renders on top of everything.

How do you entirely remove the HUD? I can't get the 'crouch' indicator and the 'unmark' indicator to go away.

I don't take screenshots crouched because I can't get rid of that indicator, and you have to rebuy the target marking aug after
Koller resets your system
to be able to get rid of the unmark indicator.

Deus EX MK looks friggin superlative. Gives me the same feeling and excitement I had when HLF2 came out.

Think I'll stop coming here for a while in case of spoilery type shots..
