Gameplay wise the biggest pet peeve I have is Triangle/Y being an action button for way too many things, I lost count how many times that screwed me over. Still, it's definitely the best in the series in that regard.
Quiet's great if you're not planning on taking anybody back and want to go loud. Otherwise, I usually went with DD.
I remember working my way up to this guy I really wanted. High rank and a good set of skills. I grabbed him, and Quiet shot the guy in my arms. Damn you, Quiet.
You can equip Quiet with a tranquilizer rifle!
This is why you get her a tranq rifle stat.
- Helicopter rides should be skippable
My favorite weapon was my custom built patriot replica.
Stupidly inaccurate but up close it just obliterated almost everything.
Game needed more OSP missions. That one late game mission felt super refreshing.
I liked the G44 Assault Rifle. This weird AUG-G11-FAMAS hybrid thing spoke to me:
Good to see some MGSV love. Probably my game of the generation.
Still logging in every day, building my FOB.
What do heli flares do exactly? Call in the chopper at any location?Fave weapon loadout: Custom grade 5 MRS-4 rifle, custom Geist pistol, grenades, C4 NVGs, CBox, decoys, magazines, and heli flares.
I like to replicate real world operator loadouts.
Another question: What is everyone's favorite outfit?
Previously, I was shirtless, wearing the gray bandana, tiger-stripe pants and gold arm. Now I wear the gray arm and sneaking suit from GZ, since its description makes it sound the most comfortable.
I love how you can use the water pistol to quietly fry electronics like the comms equipment.
The recycled missions would've been there regardless. They're entirely optional -- you can trigger new story missions by simply doing side ops instead -- so they're just a bonus.Man this game was so good, and I've been thinking of going back to it lately. It makes me wonder what it truly could have been if Kojima had the flexibility to do everything he wanted with it. The gameplay and the essence of MGSV is near-perfect.
The story though, what I was most looking forward to, was super underwhelming and ended so abruptly. It was clear from thethat the last part of the game was rushed out the door. Such a bummer. But the game plays better than any stealth action game I've ever played, and better than any game that's come out in the last few years, period. So it's got that going for it.numerous recycled missions

Can we give the water pistol some love?

Me neither... So I opted to spend 5 minutes each day to log in, collect freebies, and deploy soldiers to get more staff. It's gotten me all 4 FOBs and at least lvl 110 on each staff team without spending a dime.Haha, Thats some commitment. I beat the game a few weeks after launch, mucked around with FOB stuff a bit and haven't played since. FOBs seemed to be getting a little too micro transactiony. As much as I love the game I'm not sure I was prepared to shell out for virtual insurance for virtual products.
I just learned the other day that you can press triangle while crawling to hug the ground even tighter and make yourself less noticeable. Might be playing dead.

I'm torn. If you want to unlock the higher tier items, you absolutely have to treat the game as a kind of Pokemon, gotta catch 'em all, tranq head-shot and extract everyone kind of game.
And that sucks.
But, if you open an already-completed save and repeat the missions, you can go about using all the lethal weapons, with so many gadgets at your disposal.
And that's fun.
Basically, I wish the research and mother base expansion didn't require (literally) thousands of fultoned personnel and (literally) days worth of upgrades. No more than 150 total to max the game, with only a minority of personal you ever encounter ever being viable... Or, quite frankly, remove the staff acquisition element completely, and focus on building ties with a predetermined military force. The game could have been infinitely more fun and fully replayable if you could approach the game with all options legitimately at your disposal, without developing a necessary phobia of killing any enemies because they could be the tipping point for a rank 79 medical bay.
The way it is now, I have no favorite weapons, because I'm punished for using anything other than a tranq. gun.
This us my main gripe with the game. Litterally felt like I had to play the game a certain way to get upgrades. While the gameplay was so open and varied and awesome. But it was OCD with fultoning
I really enjoyed the loadout I used for Metallic Archaea and Sahelanthropus, pure explosive nonsense because that was the only way I could figure out how to even deal with that awful Skulls boss fight.

Hmm, I also noticed that Ocelot's revolver doesn't have an image on the R&D screen. But you're saying ti doesn't appear on the field, either? So does that mean you don't see it in Snake's hands even when he's aiming it? (I haven't tried it yet — I think it's still in development.)I also really enjoy messing around with Ocelot's revolver. I don't know if it's a glitch or done on purpose, though, but the thing doesn't have an image for me. Not when I'm on the field, have it equipped or otherwise, nor in the development screen.
Haha, pink rifle with zebra stripes — now that's style! :-3My bright pink sniper tranq with zebra stripes, shit got me through most all of that game alone, that and quiet with her sniper tranq, we were putting fools to sleep left and right
BONUS QUESTION: What are your favorite weapons to use? There are simply so many of them! I'm trying to develop everything, but I don't know what to actually use. MGSV nails the feeling of firearms and provides a lot of variety on that front. It's a bit overwhelming, so I'm open to recommendations.
I was really anal about camo so I tried to match up my outfits with the corresponding terrain. A lot of supply drop waiting.
I wonder what happens if you try throwing one in the ocean, though?

The combat in this game is already amazing...
But when you add this:
Perfection
It makes invading FOB's non-lethally much more viable as well.

I don't think I've tried the Hand of Jehuty. I know I have it, though. So is it like a beam that reels in distant targets? And does it automatically knock them out, or does it put them in a chokehold first? Also, is that a Zone of the Enders reference?
Oh, no, you misunderstood. I just meant the image, even when I have it equipped or if it's just in my inventory. It shows up in-game, on Snake's hand.
Ah, OK. It's probably a glitch, but I'm OK with that if it still appears in-game.
