isn't it 9.99 in the UK? image says 7.99.

Yeah but for some reason this is the pricing showing for him. Each tier also gives a bigger discount.

I can't imagine they'd announce a new pricing structure that would go from £99 to £45 for a year though?

OMFG.. after three betas, I finally figured out why I haven't been able to reorder my Up Next. Apparently in iOS 10, if you have repeat turned on, it turns off the ability to reorder your up next.

stupid.

Pretty happy with My New Music Mix again this week. How are people using them though? I guess I could just save them as a playlist, but I'm terrible at naming playlists!

My New Music Mix 1
My New Music Mix 2

...

EDIT: Also, the link you generate when you share your mix isn't changed each week. Great if you want to follow someone else's mixes... not so great if you want to use them to refer to your past mixes.

I don't think they intend Your New Music to be a playlist as much as a discovery tool. Pretty sure the intent is for you to <3 or add to your library from it.

I'm honestly not even sure if there's an easy way to add the songs to a separate playlist. If you subscribe it's still going to be just another dynamic playlist. If you add it to a playlist, same thing. I think the only easy way is to go into iTunes, select all of the songs, and move them off into another playlist. like "My New Music 9/7".

You don't even have to do it from iTunes. On iOS you can go into the My New Music Mix after subscribing to it, hit the three dots, and just choose "add to new playlist" to copy it over

Yeah that's what I've done. I will continue to "love" tracks (really dislike this term) but sometime I just want the playlist as it was curated.

My New Music Mix is worth the price of admission imo (yes, i know Spotify has had something similar for awhile).

What is New Music Mix built with? listens, loves, downloads, uploads the iCloud library?

It seems to be either songs you've listened to a lot or songs related to the ones you've listened to a lot. Some of the songs on mine aren't songs I've listening to a ton, but are on the same album of those I have

The new Apple Music experience in iTunes is really nice. The new bold fonts and spacing look great on a bigger screen.
I like that Connect is at the top of the For You tab.

Can you elaborate?

- bolder fonts and white space work better on a larger screen (than an iPhone)
- they've stopped splitting the track listing in half (like this), they are now listed vertically next to the (larger) album art (like this, but has been tweaked a little).
- For You section is a lot cleaner and has tabs for recommendations and connect at the top. Not sure why they don't do this on iOS too.
- created some custom artwork for their playlists that look nice.
- I love a white + blue UI

No major changes with the service (other than New Music mix and Lyrics), but much improved layout.

I love how favourite mixes seem to be using the genius technology in that all the songs in each playlist have a similar vibe.

Thinking about it, it's an exact feature we already had in the previous music app lol.

Glad there is now a "dislike" option to go along with "love" so I can flag songs that are bleh. Also, I really like the new iTunes look and easy to read text. Apple Music is infinitely better looking IMO.

I love "New Releases" under "For You". Now I can see new releases from artists I care about.
I just found 3 albums I had no idea were released.

I don't like that the Love button is now hidden away, it was nice and convenient on the main screen when playing tracks.

That and the "this track is downloaded" icon is gone. On playlists I now have to select one to see if it's been properly downloaded. And even there instead of the icon there just big ass "downloaded" text. Looks janky.

If there no icon it's downloaded

The big downloaded text is lame though. They should have kept at least an icon to display on the playlist list page

That's an issue if you have songs in a playlist that aren't in your library though. They can be downloaded but there's no indication they are and they take up space but if you look under Downloaded Music they won't be there since they're not in your library

So it'll have the Plus icon but no indication that it's in your phone

Still can't believe they removed the love button on the lock screen. Really uncalled for.
I guess they needed all the space for the overblown, horrendous font for title/artist.

I am so confused by what you just said.

Ok so a playlist that isn't in your library, like the "New Music" playlist? For me, if the song is downloaded there is no icon. If the song is in my library but not downloaded, there's a cloud. If it's just not in my library at all, there's a +

You can make a playlist of songs that aren't in your library. Like the playlist is but none of the songs are. So if I have a playlist consisting of 5 songs that aren't in my library, there's no visual indicator of if those songs are downloaded or not. There's a plus sign to add them to my library, but if I download them there's still just a plus sign

How can you even download a song without adding to your library in the first place? I have it set so that any song I add to my playlist is added to my library so I can't relate

You can. It was a feature added a few months ago. You can have songs on a playlist without them being in your library and you can even download them on your phone, I do it constantly.
For some reasons they decided that less is more with this release and removed the icon that let you know if the song is physically on your phone or not.

BTW there was a "bug" (I think it's intended to work this way but it's just bothersome), I still haven't checked if they solved it in iOS10.
1) you add a song (not already on your library) to a playlist;
2) NOW you add said song to your library
3) you delete said song from your library
4) aaand it's gone from your playlist as well.
Doesn't make any sense but heh.

I hated that because my library was full of single songs and albums listed that only contained said singles.

I wanted my library to be full albums only. So I don't add playlist tracks to my library.

Another post, another complaint :(
Apparently they didn't solve the lack of auto-update when it comes to "preorder" (preview?) albums.
I added the new AlunaGeorge album to my library a few days ago just to be sure. Today it came out but when I go to my library I still see most songs grayed out, but they're all available when I look for the album directly on Apple Music.
The only solution for me is remove the album from my library the day it comes out and then add it again right away.

there's a delay. If you want it NOW (like the morning it comes out).. yeah, you're stuck removing it and adding it.

If you give it a bit.. usually by later that friday or a day or two after, it's in your library. At least that's what I've found.

but yeah, they need to make that rock solid. and it's currently not.

I add everything to my library because I never use my library. I make everything into a playlist, including artists. I've just always done it this way because I hated the ordering of songs in the past. For example if I wanted a specific album to show up on the top of the list or something, couldn't do that by sorting the Library. Maybe I should evolve and try it out now since we are no longer using the iPod scroll wheel

So what do you guys even add to your library? Just albums you really really like? Guess that would work if I sort by Album. Sorting by artist would still be a mess because of how some artists list features as "X & Z"

I add albums like I'm queuing up movies. I may get to them, I may not. But yeah, it's almost impossible to navigate simply once you fill it up. I prefer to see my list in Album mode rather than Artist. In Album it organizes by release year so it's easier for me to find it.

I was gonna say, I thought they fixed it. I had a couple albums fill in automatically

Holy shit this can't be right. Just updated iTunes and went to the For You section.

Everything is so HUGE that the writing is actually blurry. The dates, the "Recommendations" title. Blurry as fuck. Also the picture collage for "New Music Playlist" takes up half the screen! For a company that doesn't make Touchscreen desktops, they sure love gigantic ass shit.

Please tell me something is just wrong with my screen. This is just embarassing
