Don't forget to grab your Forza Rewards money as well. Also, getting all the discount signs was the first thing I did so that upgrades/downgrades cost nothing.

But I haven't had much problem with money. Already over $2M. If Forza Rewards doesn't, the street races are a pretty good way to cover any basic car purchase you need.

Might be a stupid question: In Forza Horizon 1 how the heck do I start driving the DLC cars I've purchased (I.E. from downloading all the free car packs and buying the season pass).

I don't see an obvious way to add these cars to my garage... I don't have to spend in-game credits for them, do I?

Yep. The season pass simply makes them available. You still have to buy in game. Kinda shitty.

I don't view it that way. I mean, they're adding the assets that weren't there before, but giving you the car for free defeats the whole point of the game's economy and reward system.

Your argument would hold more weight to me if MS didn't also sell tokens so you can buy the cars with real money. The economy is already turned towards real money purchases for cars, so in my eyes buying to unlock a car shouldn't also require a second purchase just to drive it.

I don't remember it being as terrible in Forza Horizon, but I know in Forza 4 a DLC car I have costs 9 million credits. It's absurd. How long would you have to grind in-game cash to unlock such a car?

The current series setup where you get one free unlock of each DLC car seems reasonable to me.

If you're at final checkout then yes. I think 360 titles are still free to own even after your sub expires. So they probably disable 360 GwG titles on trial accounts.

Which page is it saying $19.99 on? If it's straight from your xbox one, you will.

Yea you will get charged if you click confirm.

I don't know if it'll take some time for it to fully update (my sub hasn't lapsed in years), but the 360 web store sucks while the XB1 one is much better in that regard. So it's possible it hasn't updated for the 360 one yet. But like I said I don't know if that's even the case or anything like that, just putting out possible reasons.

One other thing, it does look like the Xbox One game links from the GWG page go to a different website than the 360 one does, so that may have something to do with it.

Yea that's the XB1 store, the 360 store is separate (and the 360 games on your console is just a portal to the 360 store basically)

I'd give it a couple of hours then try again but if it's still not showing as free then try contacting support or something.

There were a few categories that got 'stuck' for me, cars being one of them. (The others might have been miles driven and perfect passes?) Forza rewards is sadly pretty wonky (I got almost all obtainable points over the last 9 months). Existing working functionalty breaks over time and then suddenly works again after some weeks. The FH1 car count was broken for over 9 months I think and only fixed with the XBG release now ...

For some reason, no. Forza 5 / 6 and FH2 tokens are available on xbox.com, but not FH1 tokens (which is the stupidity of it, just make them normal purchases like the rest of the DLC...).

The only way I can think it might work is buying the tokens and DLC on the 360 and then transferring the save game via the cloud, but the last time I tried to use a cloud save the XB1 BC version just threw me back to the start of the game, so who knows.

OK, but don´t forget to buy the Xbox One titles nontheless (over the website). If you own an Xbox console at some point in the future the titles will wait for you there

After putting a good amount of time into Forza Horizon 1, and I know this probably isn't going to be a popular opinion since people like 1 more, but I think FH2 is far superior. I'm not saying FH1 is a bad game (I really like it), but FH2 is much better, it's about what I'd expect from a sequel. The open world is better, less barriers/more freedom, drivatars, car handling. Maybe playing FH2 first clouds my judgement but I really don't see how people can think FH1 is better.

After playing FH1 and seeing the changes made in FH2 it makes me really excited for FH3 if we see similar improvements.

I bought it and had a lot of fun with it. If you're in the mood for a silly, arcade baseball game, you'll like it.

There are issues like no online multiplayer and a lack of control over franchises and leagues that stopped it from being a game I'd play long-term, though.
