That's an important difference. The former connotes that 10 million units will be produced each year. The latter connotes that estimates for the year are 10 million units.

If NX can only ship 10 million units each year, I'd agree that it's not in good shape. But 10 million is fine for the first year as long as it's able to grow along a healthy curve.

I think regardless of the phrasing used it's obvious that estimates/forecasts will change drastically after it launches. Nintendo always revises future forecasts based on the real world sales they're seeing.

I've been assuming it means exactly what you said, 10 million for the first year. Which is not at all a low number.

Production ramp up timigs forse a March release would be in line with what I know about youth electronic devices

10m/year could just be a starting rate of production, and it could increase or decrease depending on sales success and forecast, maybe?.

I don't believe that portion of this news to be true though personally, doesn't seems like something that could leak easily, maybe more of a guess based on certain factors if anything.

They increased the Wii production back in the day. 33 %.

There's exactly 22 weeks until March 2017, which comes out to 154 days...

...What I'm saying is that it won't be unveiled until March.

It would pretty funny if they still "can't talk about NX" in its Q2 earnings briefing, I can totally see it though.

10 million would be a definite boost--over N64 and GameCube. But even those had very staggered launches, such that in their first worldwide year they were only available in Europe for a few months.

The Q2 earnings event will be the last investor event before the year ends, right? If that's the case, I can't imagine giving ZERO info would go over well. If Nintendo made such a statement, I think they'd have to either give a reason (i.e. a peek behind the scenes) or give another time to look forward to (i.e. a general or specific date for the reveal).

I remember he (they? I remember once that account saying it was more of a team of people, at the time) used to hide behind a false profile; by that, I mean he used name, photo and profile of a completely unaware person. He (again, they?) was also involved in a case of woman harassment I think (I'll admit, it's been a few months ago, when the account name was changed to Nintendoubted), so much that he/they had to say "We do not support woman harassment", a bit in Engrish as well. I'll see if I can find more, but...yeeeeeeeesh, not a good look.

Basically, they're predicting that one year after the launch of NX (Q3 2017 --> 2018, although I think Q2 is more accurate), its profits will start cover those operating losses in the graph, just like Pokemon GO's revenue is shown covering operating losses one year after its release (Q3 2016 --> 2017).

Yeah uhh... Like when this person posted rumours that the NX was with AMD and DMP iirc and it's a Handheld and Console and then a day or two ago claims the NX in trial production either using Nvidia or AMD.

For some reason claims Handheld specs of Nvidia NX is 1.5TF from Parker then randomly states Home Console with 2.1TF but doesn't specify if that is Parker as well.

The only thing this person supposedly got right is in the pinned tweet which is cartridges. (Or should I say Game Cards.)

I wouldn't take this person seriously since the track record is shoddy.
