Where is the hype for ps4 pro???

The console will be out in less than a month. But I see no hype for the console in here or in other gaming medias. What happened? Also Xbox slim destroying the ps4 slim too I think sales wise could be due to pro coming out so soon. But I have never seen such less hype for a console that will be out in less than month. Whats happening to the hype train?

I think it will do very well, but personally it just pushed me to finally build a high-end PC.

I mean what's there to get really hyped about? It will play your current games but they'll look better (in some but not all cases)

Pre-orders are very good from what I've seen, but Sony isn't hyping so why would any one else? Maybe they will after the PSVR launch push ends.

Nope. Thlse pre-orders for last 2 months will be a huge. Sony is gonna win October too unless Xbox had another massive sale soon.

PS4 Pro has been the best-selling console on Amazon since it appeared. In before Amazon isn't a good predictor...it is.

They haven't done a great job saying what it will do for people playing on 1080p TVs or using PSVR, so there's not much to get hyped about.

I don't feel like they did a good job at the reveal event. It makes me question the amount of planning that has gone into the whole thing.

I read in one of the other threads that Mark Cerny is still slated to do one more talk/presentation about the benefits of the Pro before launch. Is this true, or was that just wishful thinking?

I've got a pre-order and I'm keeping it for PS VR performance boosts, but I'd like to know more, such as whether there really is SATA III compatibility to justify buying an SSD.

I don't have a 4K display, i don't know what Pro is gonna do with old 1080p displays, i dont know if my PS4 games will run better on the new console, thats why i have no hype.

Eh, it's not exciting. It's a more powerful PS4. Not much to get hyped about even if it is a cool thing that you want.

It will be out in the wild soon enough for analysis. A more powerful PS4 is all the masses really need to know.

Sony have done a terrible job with marketing. It's like they're happy to have it as a niche product and have little intention of making it appeal to the mass market.

It's a minor improvement to a console most of us have.

I'm kind of interested but I'm not sure what it can do that warrants "hype."

I have a 1080p TV and the lack of 60fps games really soured me on it, that and we barely have any info on other games and their 1080p modes.

I'll definitely still get it, just not at launch.

There was more hype for it when we had no idea what it was.

It's cool for people who have a 4k tv and the money to throw around but it's nowhere near the gamechanger for the industry some were thinking.

It's a device targeting a very small portion of the market, and on top of that Sony has done a shit job of selling it/communicating why anybody should really care about it.

It's too much. I can afford it but I still think it's too much. I don't even have a 4KTV and I'm not a guy who obsesses over graphics. I'm also super attached to my regular PS4. I have a 1TB in it.

1. People who did not pay attention to the reveal, believe that it doesn't improve games when gaming on 1080p tvs.

2. PSVR hype.

3. A lot of people are holding off on 4k sets and are not buying a pro because of point 1.

I'm probably only getting one because my hairdryer sounding OG will likely crap out. And I need a larger HDD. Otherwise I wouldn't bother. They've done a pretty a shitty job at selling this thing though. I honestly don't know what the discernible differences are.

No 4K BD player, no buy. I will stick with my red MGS PS4 limited edition.
Also I just bought GoW4 Xbox One S limited edition a week ago.

This. Plus let's not underestimate how many people don't care about the system at it's current price point since it won't play UHD blurays. Plenty of people crossed it off their list after that announcement.

The system will do just fine but I don't think it will do crazy sales or have crazy hype around it.

That's not an issue with the Pro...it will be the same thing for Scorpio, and the PS5, and Xbtwo...

It's a developer issue

I'll get hyped for a new PS4 system when it can do 60fps with every game. PSPro can't really do that. Also, that machine is ugly as the slim. To put it this way, Sony didn't really inspire me to upgrade at all. Poor presentation and the reveal of that system was very poor basically saying, "well, here it is if you want it." I'm not getting Scorpio either because I'm fine with an Xbox One. I'll wait for the PS5.

How does it better my VR experience? Heard nothing about that during their conference and so it's off my radar until I see something substantial.

I'm hyped! Bought me a new tv a few weeks ago and prepaid for the pro the same day. Watching the 4K demos on YouTube has me ready to roll. Wish Bloodborne would get a pro patch though...

If you are interested in the Pro there are many threads with lots of posts following the system, including a new one about games running in native 4K on it.
If you're talking about sales, on Amazon the system is selling much better than both PS4 and Xbox in preorders.
Right now there is also more attention on the PSVR since it has just launched.
Also if you're expecting this to have the hype of some kind of next gen console you're wrong, it's a high end PS4 running PS4 games better.
You'll see many more threads about it when more footage from games running on it will be available and you can bet that most of them will become console war material LOL.

Maybe people are finally learning to stop getting on hype trains and just patiently wait for the release.

I know it's not likely but hey maybe one day.
